This shop sells a wide selection…read moreof newspapers and magazine as well as sweets and greetings cards. it used to be a nightmare getting a buggy up the step on the way in, but they have clearly listened to their customers and installed a ramp which makes entry a breeze. I've only ever popped in briefly to buy a newspaper and always found the staff efficient.

Everything is laid out in a logical order by genre and the staff are very knowledgeable and happy to help you find what you're looking for. They can even tell you release dates and preorder books for you. The kids section is great, they are happy for kids to have a look at a book before you buy it and I've never had any trouble returning unwanted presents. Prices aren't cheap, but you can't compare specialist book shops to supermarkets really.
