I had been dealing with Tanzam since they were still on 51 Avenue. I was recommended to them by a friend, since I was coming back to the city after a long absence. Moez was a GEM! He went out of his way to make sure that I got excellent service and if he could save me some costs he had no problem recommending those procedures, parts, whatever. If something needed repair or replacement, either Moez or Peter would show me (They knew my father was a mechanic, so I was no stranger to the workings of an auto shop.) what the problem was, and offer various solutions. So why the 1 rating? Moez is no longer there , nor is Tanzam Auto. And Peter is MIA too. Tanzam has been folded into M&M Auto on 63rd ave. Moez is semi-retired. The new group seems to be more concerned with lining their pockets than offering automotive service. Doomsday scenarios combined with unnecessary repairs and part replacement rather than offering the excellent service I had come to expect with Moez. Do NOT confuse the service you got from Tanzam with M&M, because they are decidedly different. Tanzam WAS a 5. M&M, currently is a 1. Work on it. In the meantime, I'm once again stuck without, what I consider to be, an honest mechanic. read more
