Just wanted to say how happy we are with the consistent service with MA Souders...we've had their services for at least 3 years now. The technicians do a great job and want to give props to Parker who's been out several times. It's always apparent how conscientious and hardworking he is...he represents the company well. My wife is a landscape designer and has told at least 4 of her clients what a reputable, consistent company they are....and I believe they gave them a call. Keep up the great work! -Ron read more

this company is horrible with customer service and follow up. they charged us for slit seeding and the process did not work. after numerous contacts and even speaking with the owner about this issue, it is still not resolved three months later. they ignore messages sent through their customer portal and never return phone calls. we prepaid for the entire service and they now have our money and don't care if we have weeds and bare spots. i will never do business with this company again. read more

I don't even know where to start with this company! I hired them to do my lawn applications 3 years ago. I kept having to call them back letting them know I wasn't happy with their performance. I spoke to the owner who i will say is a really nice guy and assured me he would make things right. i then hired his company to do another project in my yard and it was not completed correctly. I was very upset. The owner and I agreement to just part ways civilly. I had a negative review posted but I took it down at the time because I didn't want his business affected and that maybe all it was was not a good fit. That was 3 years ago. I have not heard from them since. Until I get a letter in the mail that my last lawn application was sent to collections. I have not been contacted at all! I called them and they said sorry that I need to talk to the collections agency. I asked her when did they try to contact me and she said I am showing we emailed you. I never got a email. The worst part is they never called me to just ask me about it. I am so furious. Please whatever you do don't use this company. read more

I live in Grove City and have had M A Sauder for many years. I called them about a month ago about some concerns over some bare spots and loose sod, mainly in the front yard. They immediately came out and did a grub treatment at a good price and guaranteed it. They also came out 2 days latter over seeded the entire lawn, again at a deep discounted price. I thought this was very good service, exceeding my expectations. This was much appreciated. I would recommend this company and I have, most recently to some family members this year. Prior to then having MA Sauder their yard looked awful and now it looks great. read more

This company conducts business very poorly. The beginning of this month I spoke with a person that told me they would be out for leaf removal last Thursday or Friday. When that didn't happen I called Friday and inquiried as to why it did not and spoke with the owner. He advised that a crew would be out today. This morning I received an email that they will not be out since I am not a customer but the funny thing is that I was told by two people they would be. I called and they said there was nothing they could do since I didn't get my lawn treated this year (even though I had told the first person I spoke with that I would for next year). They do not do leaf removal for non customers is what I was told. Now they have left us in a bind to find a new company to do the leaf removal. Not that they care but this is terrible business practice. I will not be recommending this company for any services as they lost a long time customer (we had our yard treated by them for many years except this year). Extremely disappointed! read more

They were a huge disappointment. My landscaper of 12 years couldn't take care of me right away so he told me to call MA Souders about a patch of nimblewill in my front yard and a lot of sedge in my backyard plus one bush (a viburnum) that had some insects. Instead of sending out turf specialists, they sent two guys who wanted to sell me an ongoing service for *all* my trees and shrubs! I told them I wasn't interested but wanted some help with my turf. One guy went to his truck where he told me he called this brother who said 1) I'd have to dig up the nimblewill and re-seed the area and 2) I'd have to wait until fall, kill off my entire backyard, and re-seed it (something I did just a year and a half ago!!). I called my usual landscaper who told me that all I needed for the nimblewill was a product called Tenacity and that the sedge could be treated effectively with Sedeghammer. And he told me what to get for the aphids. I don't know if MA Souders is incompetent or just unwilling to take on smaller jobs. If the latter, they should have been honest about it. read more
