With 628m this is Scandinavias longest pier. And it is quite an impressive sight. Just behind the Train Station the long wooden panels lead out onto Lake Siljan. At several spots on the pier you can take a few steps down, closer to the water. Originally meant for smaller boats to dock it also makes a very nice picknick break spot (as many locals do). At the end of the pier there's a generous area with some trees, green and a good number of benches to relax.
It's a really lovely spot and a nice little stroll. Surely one of the must-do's when around Lake Siljan. We loved it. And be sure not to miss out on the compact but very charming center of Rättvik around Storgatan. read more
