Hired this company to remove a large Colorado Blue Spruce. Father and son arrived the same day we called to give an estimate. They gave us a fair price to remove the tree, and offered to shape/prune some of the other shrubs/trees on our property for an extra $500. After 2 follow up phone calls and multiple texts from the son over the course of 3 days to try and get the job, I agreed to give them the work. Showed up on time is the only compliment I can give at this point. Very sloppy work, they smashed my walkway when removing the tree and patched it up after I complained. I even offered to have the railing painted at my expense so help reduce their cost to repair but they still opted to be cheap and patch instead of replace. As for the other shrubs they pruned, take a look at the pictures. Sloppy and unfinished. Multiple messages sent to them and they said "they will fix when they have the time." Choose a different company, this was a waste of our money. read more

OMG! What an experience! The company owner, Mike Lyon, left a huge pile of dirt and tree shavings in my yard after a tree removal (the pile was 4 feet tall) First he told me it had to be left like that because it was a safety concern. But he then told me he would remove it for an additional fee (so I guess it's not much of a safety concern!). I have had 6 trees removed over the years, and this has never been an issue. I told him this, and he replied that my "husband must've negotiated those". I found this VERY OFFENSIVE. Be careful, women! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY- especially if you're a single woman! read more

So impressed with Lyon Tree Service--promptly returned my call; came over for an estimate in a very timely manner; they scheduled the job within a very short period of time and they showed up when promised. They had to move the bird bath and enter my neighbor's yard. They were so respectful of not only our property, but also the neighbor's. Clean up was unbelievable, if not for the trimmed trees, you wouldn't know that any type of work was done. They replaced the bird bath and refilled it with water! Mike had done some work for me last year. He was professional, punctual and his crew did a great job- for a VERY reasonable price. He also (at no additional charge) trimmed back other trees too close to the house. When a nor'easter damaged a large tree on the edge of our property this past season, we called Mike. While he agreed the tree needed to be taken down, he suggested we call the town to determine if they were responsible because of its proximity to the street. Sure enough, the town is assuming responsibility and Mike saved me BIG BUCKS!! He could have easily taken the job himself and I would not have been the wiser. this company is beyond unprofessional who the hell does this type of work down a little private block 8am on a f**king sunday?!? have some respect for the surrounding neighbors/ potential customers! bc even if the customer is a big enough a$$hole to ask for a sunday 8am appt, why would you agree to it??? your name is plastered on the side of your trucks and you think its a smart business practice to piss off an entire area, with ppl who work overnights, like we're not going to leave scathing reviews about how it sounded like bombs going off that early on a f**king sunday!!! this started at 8am and its now 11am and my family is beyond angry plus i have a husband that was getting home from work at a hospital just as they decided to start and cant sleep for his shift tonight bc it is so ungodly loud! i need trees removed as well as my neighbors and i will make sure we do not hire this company or any company that thinks this is acceptable!! read more
