Mount Sinai Chelsea Center - Best thing about this place

It wasn't a patient seeing doctor day, only a pick up of records, but I got in line anyway. My Sinai hospitals always have a big guy that asks "whose here for what"? Like "cash or credit" at CVS but different. Fortunately, I get big guy to big guy treatment, or so it seems to me (inter color works best as we communicate really, really well) that permitted me to snake hip my way through the three-ish people in line before me. X-Rays were at the ready at the immediate front desk, before you know it, your on it... so I had my second half of a melted everything bagel dripping from the brown paper bag -- as if on cue, I look left where a tiny but heavily supplied coffee, tea and water dispensary stood and I was swept up in two friendly conversation like a cocktail party, just in a hospital satellite cafeteria.. I really had a blast..

Only complaint was the front desk gave me a different time and seemed to also be a little confused about what my actual surgery time would be. The other staff though, once I was checked in was AMAZING and I can't express how much I felt valued as a human and felt safe. Gabor Nemesdy, was my Anesthesiologist and he was just great!!! My nurse was Annie and she was also great! My surgeon was my primary Obgyn, Michael Frey, who is always amazing and the only one I would trust to do my surgery and his assistant was, Chioma Iwelumo and she was also lovely! Overall I can't say how thankful I am to have the team I had take care of me!

I've been a patient of Dr Bungay's for about 6 years now, thanks to finding him and Gotham Medical…read morethrough their stellar Yelp reviews. All the reviews are accurate! And so I wanted to take the time to pay it forward to other Yelpers by noting that Dr Bungay has now moved his practice to NYU Langone Penn District over on 31st and 9th. I saw him there for the first time today and I have to tell you, I was IMPRESSED. The facility is brand spanking new and in amazing condition, and every staff member I met was friendly and helpful. The new office runs extremely efficiently. I arrived 10 minutes early, checked in at the electronic kiosk, and was welcomed in 2 minutes before my official 2pm appointment time by a nurse who did my intake. Dr Bungay saw me right after, and then another nurse came in to give me a quick and easy tetanus shot after about 5 minutes' wait. This facility also happens to have a phlebotomist onsite, and so I FINALLY got bloodwork done after years of never getting around to making a separate appointment at LabCorp downstairs! An extra bonus -- one of the nurses had already gotten me in "line" for the phlebotomist before I even walked out of Dr Bungay's office, so I had zero minutes of wait time once I walked down the hall to get there. Lab results began to roll into the patient portal later that same night, and I was notified by text message. All very impressive. Dr Bungay himself, of course, remains as gentle and caring of a doctor as he always has been. For anyone potentially worried about the loss of Gotham Med and the transition to the big faceless NYU Langone machine -- you don't need to be. It still feels like the kind and friendly practice that Dr Bungay's old office was, and now maybe even a little shinier!

I've been coming here over 10 years and never had to complain about the staff. Depending on your illness the wait time can take longer and the staff keep you posted. They got me together with my asthma by referring me to a specialist because I was here almost every 3 weeks having asthma attacks. I have not been back to this emergency room in over 2yrs. Until today I fractured my foot. I went here as always and they took care of me right away. I was in there less than 3 hours. They referred me to a specialist. Once inside things didn't improve. The person who came to interview me was whispering and mumbling incoherently. I literally could not understand him and when I pointed it out he gave me a defensive attitude. Nothing about this place reflects the concept of EMERGENCY. At that point I realized I had to get out of there, so I reluctantly called an Uber and headed nervously (I was not well and very concerned) up to Lenox Hill on 77th street and received excellent care. I would void this place if possible
