From the very first day, Fareshteh aka Grandma welcomed us with open arms and instantly made us feel at home. She's the heart and soul of the daycare, and her warmth and love set the tone for everything. Masu aka Grandpa is there as wonderful support and backup, and together they make an incredible team. Dropping our little one off each day feels like leaving them with the grandma you always wished you had as a kid. Fareshteh pours so much love and attention into every single child. Lyda daycare is a home away from home for my little boy. The kids have the run of a large area including an indoor play house and many toys, puzzles, and games. He often comes home with arts and crafts he's drawn or put together and it is sometimes hard to get him to leave. There is a very calm a d peaceful yet playful aura to children's space. Fereshteh truly cares for the children under her care and we saw that from our son's first few days. We visited to ensure a great fit and immediately was comfortable and drawn to her. At a previous daycare, drop off was dramatic and hard with crying and the inevitable parental guilt. However at Lyda, after just 2 days, my boy looked forward to his time there and was able to give me a hug, a kiss, and turn to go inside. That has never changed and means so much to me as a parent. I cannot say enough wonderful things about Fereshteh's daycare . She is truly a gem when it comes to caring for children. She treats them with such love and compassion, as if they were her own grandchildren. Not only does she create a warm and nurturing environment for all the kids, but she also expertly managed my daughter's type one diabetes with such care and attention to detail, making our lives so much easier. We are so grateful and wish she could teach children of all ages because of how much my daughter and our family adore her. She is incredibly caring and genuinely loves all the children she looks after. She has become a part of our family, and we appreciate all the effort she puts into ensuring the children are happy and healthy. My family moved to Barrington's neighborhood 8 years ago. I was worried where I would leave my 6 months old daughter while I'm at work after moving to the new neighborhood. One day my husband saw a parent dropping her kid to our next neighbor. He found out that our neighbor has a daycare in her house. I decided to visit the daycare and talked to the owner, Fereshteh. The first time I met her, I saw a nice and lovely woman. I saw a woman that I can trust, take care of my baby and the most important, give love to my daughter. My daughter loves Fereshteh and she loves going to her daycare until now, during school breaks. The daycare feeds the kids with fresh and healthy food. Everyday in the morning, when I dropped my daughter to the daycare, you can smell delicious pita bread coming out from the oven. The daycare is so tidy and clean. She also teach toddlers alphabet and numbers. Everyday, kids has art and craft activities and story time. And on summer time, the kids can play in a small pool on her backyard. I was referred to Lyda's daycare by a friend and I'm absolutely grateful for that. My daughter thrives at the loving environment that Fereshteh provides. She learns so much and I'm often pleasantly surprised by new things she's learned and shares with me at home. The food that's served is probably more nutritious than what I give at home (purée veggie soups and smoothies just to name a couple)! The kids are always doing crafts and activities together and when the weather is nice the kids are in the backyard playing couple times a day. I never had to worry when I'm at work and honestly do not know how Fereshteh does it all and yet she does! Words cannot describe how grateful to find this daycare. We took our daughter to Lyda Daycare when she was 7 months old. We found this daycare by chance and were so thankful that we did. You won't find a more warm and loving woman to care for children. My son has the biggest smile on his face as soon as we arrive at Lyda Daycare. The environment is happy and the children learn so much. Fereshteh teaches letters, numbers, shapes, and colors. Homemade organic meals are cooked for the kids and I'm extra grateful because my son is a picky eater. I love this daycare!!! It's a perfect transition from home to daycare environment. Fereshteh and her husband are so warm and loving. My child is always happy, well fed (organic homemade foods), and well rested. He learns to share and knows all his letters. I feel like my child feels loved. After two years, I have observed that they are gentle, sweet with kids, and wonderfully redirect the children. Fereshteh is also do supportive and will follow any suggestions or concerns you have for your child. As a psychologist I feel so comfortable leaving my child there and don't worry because I know my boy is so loved and taken care of. It is also impecably clean and safe! read more

I love Fereshteh's daycare! It's the 2nd home for our daughter. When we travel, she always says she missed Fereshteh and all her friends at daycare, that's how much she loves going there. Fereshteh teach them so many things and make all the healthy meals( veggies fresh from her garden even!) My daughter went here full time from 1 year old until she started school. I even bring her on holidays and during the summer, and she is about to be 10. I was so happy to find this place, my daughter loves going here and loves the provider. It really was the next best thing to grandparents or having a parent that stays home with their child.
