He started a whole talk about what should I do with my teeth and so on, which might be ok, if he wasn't sounding like an electric tootbrush endorser. I took an appointment for a deep cleansing of the teeth, and he did everything but that: he took 4 rx like they were holiday pictures, when he finally decided that I could have a small cleaning of my foreteeth (just those), he put an anaestethic in my mouth without even asking if I agree or not. I hate medicaments and I really do not like doctors doing whatever with me, without even asking. I never had an anaestithic just for cleaning my teeth!!! come on!!!! and, last, but not least: my godfather in Italy is a dentist, so I know what I am talking about. It's a no, for me. Only pro is that he just got 60 euro's, but I will have to go to another one to clean my teeth as I intended to do.

She was really flexible to receive me out of schedule and did her job properly fixing the tooth. I have only done a small fixture with her but there are things that I can already say: 1) she is ultra careful not to hurt people whilst intervening, 2) she did my fixture perfectly well, 3) if you speak with her two phrases you will see she is organised and has a clear and objective mind (unlike some other dentists), 3) she does not treat people as merchandise and you can count on her if you ever have a problem out of schedule, which for a family dentist is quite an asset. I was nervous…read moreabout going to a new dentist, and especially my first experience with a dentist outside the U.S. Well, no need, because Scandinavian was wonderful! I'm used to the American dentist experience where you wait in a waiting room for a long time reading six-month-old Redbook magazines, then you wait in the dentist chair for a long time, then the hygienist does some stuff to you, then you wait some more, and then finally, the dentist comes in for a couple of minutes. My experience at Scandinavian was so much better than anything I experienced back home! I showed up about 5 minutes before my appointment. I know they were fully booked for the day, because I had asked about the possibility of moving my appointment and wasn't able to. Yet there was nobody else in the waiting room, meaning they were very efficient. I had already filled out their short patient form online, so they showed me in right away. Dr. Pedersen was in the room preparing even before I even got into the chair! He did the whole cleaning and examination himself with assistance from the hygienist. I was in AND out within 30 minutes, and my teeth looked great. Dr. Pedersen, the receptionist, and the hygienist were all very nice and professional. The cleaning cost 85 EUR, which seemed reasonable to me, though I didn't comparison shop. I didn't have any procedures done other than the cleaning, so I can't comment on that. However, I will definitely be back, and I can't recommend them highly enough based on my experience!

He has a very calm/kind professional manner. His standard of dentistry is high, I had a very large filling which he sculpted to perfection... it looks like the most perfect tooth in my mouth. He prefers to use a preventative approach, and will do what he can to avoid severe treatments when possible. I like that he does not jump into doing expensive serious treatments off the cuff. He is very gentle. He is happy to explain prices etc with you when possible. The surgery is very clean. If you are looking for a English, French speaking dentist who is fantastic I highly recommend Bertrand Scalesse.
