Wow much? I live in south Oxnard and I love my Mexican food but seriously? This place has the most ridiculously fresh food! Meaning their foods are flavorful, meats are juicy and not at all dry and perfectly seasoned, and their ingredients are fresh! WOW! The customer service is incredible! Not just the food clerk but the VERY CHEF HIMSELF asked customers over the bar if they need more helpings of certain foods that already come with the dish and made sure my husband and I had extra plates to share. Talk about attention to hospitality. Facility wise it is extra clean! I'm used to the person at the register just standing around if there are no customers buy this person made sure that all counters, tables, and soda wells were wiped clean/washed down with water. Excellent food, looked after facility and attentive customer service! What more could one ask for? read more

First time eating at this place and I loved it, food was so good!! Went in before work and as soon as I bit into my torta, I knew it was going to be a great day!! Service was wonderful as well, I felt cared for especially after my meal since both workers were so friendly. Ambience was great as well, loved the cumbia mix they were playing. I went today for the first time and Johnny(he might be the owner but not sure) was very friendly, professional, and kind. He suggested I try the Carnitas so I ordered a Carnitas Taco and I have to say it was delicious. Very juicy and the taco had a substantial amount of meat which was even better. I was surprised to see the variety of Mexican dishes they have. I was unaware that this is the 3rd Lupitas there is in Oxnard. They opened up in the 1980s, the first one being on Cooper Road which is still there. Going way back! I can't wait to go back and try everything. Thank you! read more

They are GREAT PEOPLE. VERY kind and wonderful customer service. good food. They have gotten a lot better with their seasoning. Only thing is, I like a TON of cheese so I ordered Extra Extra cheese. It cost me $6 for extra extra cheese........I know I'm asking for a ton of cheese but not $6 worth. And they only put a normal amount on my burrito. I didn't get what I paid for. They were very busy though so I don't want to harshly judge them for a little mistake like that. So that would be my only critique. Other than that, I love this cute little place! Got the salsa verde enchiladas and they were awesome. Had the slightest kick spice-wise which hit perfectly. Staff was super nice too.

They have decent menudo but whoever does their planning needs to restock their inventory. They always run out of something. We got sick from what we ordered. We ordered Asada tacos which had no rice or beans and cost 15.00. We were given leftover AL Pastor tacos which were fried and dry and full of fat and the cashier last Sunday was rude and not in the mood to serve. I get no one wants to work a Sunday. So close on Sunday or find people who want to work. They served a family of five with no issue because they seemed like locals. But treated me and my mom with disdain for some reason. Not going back after those nasty tacos and the bad service. Update: After speaking to the health department I was informed they had food at unsafe temperature, did not have a sanitizer bucket to store and wipe down as is required. No wonder we got sick. The health department also confirmed the Al Pastor went bad and a lot of food was thrown out. Cold food was not held at proper temperature. read more

I don't know why there are so little reviews here but it's an amazing hole in the wall I found today in oxnard! The agua frescas are so good even though they're from a soda fountain! They sell Carne en su jugo which is hard to find around here and the meat is cooked and seasoned in front of you to see, not like other places where they just scoop the meat out from a bin. Generous portions, burritos are packed with meat but not only that the meat is so flavorful and well seasoned that it reminded me of my abuelitas cooking from mexicali which I miss so much. One of the best places to get Mexican food in oxnard in my opinion, it's a tad pricier but honestly I have no problem paying for the quality I'm getting back. Also, they sell tacos on Tuesday for $1! With inflation being as high as it is when's the last time you paid a dollar for tacos in oxnard? Definitely will go back. I recommend everyone try this place out! read more
