I ordered $170 of lumber to be added to a previous already paid order, and they Charged me $4,827.41 At first I thought it was a mistake, but i now realize it was deliberate and fraudulent. They refuse to credit me back, insist they have to mail a check, but won't tell me when that will happen, and its now been 6 weeks and I haven't heard a single word from Lumber 1. Multiple calls and emails have been ignored, no one has returned a single call. My credit score has dropped 50 points, and interest on $5,000 I never charged. Also, the quality of the lumber is absolute crap, poor quality, knots, holes, cracks, and just whole missing chunks, which is why its cheaper than elsewhere. read more

Yard Boss Ben K. plays games with truckers and thinks it's funny to let them sit for long hours in their trucks. According to his Facebook posts, where he is bragging about his treatment of them. He calls truckers "full of themselves", and "lazy" for not helping him unload the truck he is being payed to unload by Lumber 1 Home Center. He is obviously oblivious to the fact that truckers are held to what the contract/paying customer wants, and they are compensated if they touch the freight. Most is no touch freight. How has this ego maniac managed to go unchecked since 2006? He has no accountability once so ever. Truckers, I would avoid this place until the problem is no longer a problem. read more

The garden center here is the best! beautiful, well tended plants, gorgeous hanging baskets, great friendly and knowledgeable staff... I can't do without them! when I buy bedding plants here, they are never dried out like in so many other places. And I really appreciate the wonderful sales! If you are looking for a large pot, planter or fountain i suggest you look elsewhere first, then check out the prices here! you will be pleasantly surprised at the difference! Plus they have a great selection! Someone will load the bags of mulch or soil for you and if you need help with getting the plants to your car, they help with that too, even laying plastic under the flats. A friend recommended Lumber One to me today and my husband and I drive there from Maumelle with our list in hand. We were in the market for quite a number of items. We were very hopeful as we drove there as we moved to Maumelle during the pandemic and needed a lot of items. Having been a dedicated customer of an Ace Hardware in NC during the past 30 years, we knew that we would find everything we needed. We immediately found just the large mirror that we've been looking for, for our foyer. We also found several other items on my list but decided to shop first in the Lawn & Garden area for a birdbath, some bird feeders, shepherd's crook, and some furniture. Unfortunately, our enthusiasm was short-lived. There wasn't a soul to help us outside in that area. After walking around for 10-15 minutes, hoping that the clerk would return, we went back inside to pick up our other items. We quickly discovered that we needed help in getting something down and began searching for someone to help us. We stopped someone who told us that he would page someone for us. We never heard a page and no one ever came to assist us. We ended up putting up all the items we'd collected in our cart and left. We ended up driving to Lowe's and they were more than happy to assist us with our questions, loading our car, etc. We spent close to $350 today and only stopped there because our car was fully loaded! So much for *trying* to shop local! Besides the items we purchased today at Lowes, you lost the sale on the $398 mirror that we were going to buy today. read more

We just drove out to Mayflower to try to get the finishing materials for our shed. We wanted to buy around 6-700 dollars worth of stuff but...there was no one to help us. The lady at the design desk sent us to the contractor desk. The man at the contractor desk was building some key set for a guy ( instead of doing customer service). He didn't say a word to us. We are sorry we wasted our time and gas going there. I won't make that mistake again. read more

I have never seen any lumber yard charge for a quote. After admitting they do not charge contractors for quotes whether they buy from them or not, they continued to say they charge "average joes off the street." Save your gas and breath - go somewhere else. read more

After me and my wife spent over 100000 to this Lumber one they act weird when wanted to return things like bed wood over 4000 $ sand wrong order many times confronted them at the beginning when opening acoun told them I will spend a lot of money but I want to be treated write no problem sir I made sure ab my expectations no problem they but when I t them I didn't like about their customer service things took a big turn we have policy read the bottom of page etc I am done with them I need to build more houses but at this time no thanks bad experience read more

I cannot recommend this this store. They are nice and pleasant prior to an order, however, once the order is placed it is a different story. Calls for status go unreturned or are just nasty on the call. Information is different from week to week. I initially went there due to their proximity to my home, it ended up costing me a lot of time and aggravation. Never again! I have to agree with everyone else leaving comments. This establishment is great with first connections but then after you order and pay for something they have a different attitude of no follow up and lies. I ordered 3 sets of French doors (about $5,000) they sent the wrong doors. I had already had the doors painted and Windows cleaned and plastic removed which I paid for. Now I have new set of doors which I had to ask them to paint for me but they've sent doors with the painted plastic on them. I have called and ask them to send someone out to take care of this and was told this isn't something they normally do and would have to get back to me. Customer service will make or break a company and Karma is everything. Continuing the story now the doors are cracking open m, sap appearing on them and the windows are fogging over. I called Lumber One in Mayflower, Arkansas back in December and ask if they could send someone out to look at 3 sets of French Doors. They sent a representative out to inspect the doors named Clayton. Clayton told me that the doors hadn't been sealed and that was the reason they are now splitting open, sap appearing on the doors and causing the windows to fog over. I was told this would be related to the manager at the store that was over the door department. The managers name is Andrew Moore. Mr. Moore never called me so I called him. He informed me he would look into the matter and get back with me. A month later still hadn't heard from him. After multiple calls and monthly emails I finally got Andrew on the phone.today, (April 2, 2019 - this has been going on since December 2018). Andrew transferred me to the store manager, Adam Wells (501)205-7150. Adam proceeded to give me false information about my open complaint and even told me their representative, Clayton, never told me my 3 sets of french doors had not been sealed which is a total Lie. I have never seen such a horrible company from their sales reps to the so called store management. My next call is to the Better Business Bureau. STAY CLEAR OF THIS SO CALLED COMPANY. ITS A TOTAL SCAM !!!!! If I were you I'd move on to another company ASAP that has a true interest in mind and has true caring professionals that appreciate you buying their products. Went in for a few screws and one piece of lumber. I asked numerous people where to get the screws and lumber. They said go over to the back of the store. I went to the back and a lady pointed a general direction. I went to where several me were standing around talking. After a few minutes I held up a screw and asked where I could get them and a 2 x 6. He told me they could do it up front and I said they sent me back here. Finally he said, I guess I can help you. He took the money and said here you go. I said where he said outside to the second door. I went to the second door and he looked at the ticket and asked if I wanted to pick this up today. I said yes. He handed the ticket off to a young man and about 10 minutes later the guy told me my wood was at the first door. I got the wood and screws and walked back out to the road where I had to park. Everyone I encountered seemed to forget about customer service. Last time to ever go here. read more

The gardening department is wonderful, we had assistance from a lady that was very knowledgeable. Couldn't have asked for a better experience. We bought a hanging basket, herbs, ground cover and several trees. Everything is still alive a month later. Going back this weekend. read more

Whoa weee! What an experience I've had over the past two months. I give them two stars because they do have good priced lumber, that's the ONLY reason. That being said, my entire experience with lumber one has been a complete nightmare. Trying to communicate with the associates in the lumber department, them saying they will "call you back" but NEVER do. Being told "you're lumber is on the truck" multiple times but it not actually on the truck. Being owed a refund on 10 post and trying to get the refund I laugh because that's nearly impossible. then the lumber being back ordered and you have to go buy somewhere else (which is fine! I understand this!) The issue is they owe you 1700 for a refund and having to make ten million calls just to get a refund. Which I was never given a receipt. Trying to get them to do ANYTHING is almost impossible. Fast forward, three weeks later we STILL had not gotten our 1700. He tells me to call MY company and find out why. So I do. There is nothing on my end. I call back, am accused of lying. Am told the money HAS left their bank account, when in reality it hadn't. After speaking with these people for a month and a half it takes me getting mad for something to happen. Finally get ahold of the lady in the back who was very kind and understanding to find out there was in fact an error on getting me my money back. This just tops the cake on my experience. Service is hit or miss. Mostly miss. Most people are friendly when you can get someone to help you. I am a contractor and usually I buy my base for flooring jobs from there only because the price beats everyone else by quite a bit. That being said, I often go hand pick my pieces myself because of a large amount of chips, cracks, and rough patches on what is supposed to be stain grade or primed paint-ready. A little more work but I save enough that I feel it's worth it. read more

My husband and I own rental property. We buy all our remodeling supplies from here, the prices beat all competition. If they don't have it, they will order it. With the additional employees this year customer service has improved. We needed two certain light fixtures to match one already in a house and two employees went thru every box that was stacked up until they found one. read more
