The food has always been great but this last visit seemed to be even better. I had the Blackened Mahi Mahi with grilled shrimp, which was delicious. It was very touristy. The food was just adequate. There's a small arcade and a large gift shop. It was also January. In the summer they open it all up to the outside and I'm sure it's a very different experience and probably good for families with little kids. read more

Everyone else enjoyed their food too. Best advice I can give is to either come for lunch or be here by 4pm, otherwise you'll be waiting 1-2 hours to be seated. None of the flavors stood out to us. Basic seafood taste. Our server was friendly once he made it to our table. We were there about 10 minutes before he got there. In all fairness he was having problems with the table beside us ticket. We were in no hurry so it was not a huge problem. Butttt, an apology for the long wait time would have been nice. I'm glad we were not there during a real busy time, as it gave the server a moment to get caught up with drink refills for his tables. The noise level was surprisingly quiet for the number of people that was there and for the college football fans that were watching the games. I've been wanting to try Lulus for years now. We finally stopped in for dinner tonight. The fish was flakey and a pretty good. I couldn't tell if tartar was house made but no complaints either way. Wow, what a great experience! We almost did not go because of some of the reviews, but we are so glad we did. The food was amazing, the atmosphere was perfect, and the service was spot on. Everyone we encountered was amazing, We went prior to the dinner crowd, and had zero trouble getting a table. The place has a great area for kiddos to play in the sand, most (if not all) of the tables have a great view of the harbor. We have a family member with food allergies, and this place, hands down took the best care of making sure everything was perfect. They have an entire menu dedicated to allergies, the manager takes the order and handles it separate from the rest of the ticket to assure the safety of the person ordering. If you are looking for a place with plenty of choices, and things to do while there, this is a must stop. They have an arcade, gift shop, sand play area with outdoor games, 2 separate bars, live music (after 6p). Pricing is also much better than most of the area, and the food is served in large portions. This place is highly overrated. BUT the bartenders were phenomenal and the frozen cocktails incredible. The Keylime drink is the best one. The food is underwhelming and extremely average. My friends ordered the seafood platter for $62 and 90% of it was fried - not fresh. I added shrimp to my salad and they were teeny tiny for the $12 I was charged. I unfortunately would not recommend this location if you're visiting Destin. There are so many other cute beach bars in the area. read more

Lulu's is definitely a must do. I'm so glad on our spring break I searched for restaurants with great vibes and didn't worry so much about what the Yelp rating was. Because holy moly was Lulu's fun, great service, and delicious. We wanted to sit outside, so we had to wait just a little bit for a table. We looked at the gift shop and my son played in the arcade. We very shortly got a table outside and it was awesome. Lots of space for kids to play on the sand. Lots of things for people to do like bag toss and play areas for the kids. It was right on the water and gorgeous. I didn't take pictures of our food and I am bummed. We all needed a break from gulf seafood, so I had a quesadilla, my mom had the fried green tomato BLT, and I can't remember what my husband ordered. We had onion rings to start and hush puppies. My frozen margarita was so delicious that I had to order another. Our server was so friendly and funny. My kids had so much fun here.
