My wife and I always come to Lulu's when we're craving fries because they're fresh cut and delicious! Though, we began to notice that on the long drive home, the steam in the box would cause them to become soggy. I happened to mention this dilemma to the manager and she suggested they put our fries in a bag instead of the box! LIFE CHANGING! I liked it here. The cashier is mighty friendly and the hamburger and the fries too were just fine. Good. They aren't as fast as McDonalds or Whataburger but the food is so much better. Plus it's a local place and your money stays in this town. As a side note, it seems law enforcement like this place as well. Bunch of badged guys sitting and eatin, coming and going. Tried Lulu's Burgers while coming to visit a friend at TAMUC and all I can say is WOW. I ordered the #4 (Double meat cheeseburger with bacon) and it was far better than any burger you could order from a fast food chain. Patty was juicy, but not greasy. Buns were buttery, but not soggy. Cheese was melted to perfection and the bacon was crispy without tasting burnt! The burger tastes fresh and homemade (how it should), unlike places that serve pre-cooked frozen meat. This is my new place each time I come in town to visit! I live over an hour away but I would definitely make the drive for a Lulu's burger! I can't say much about the inside of the restaurant because I've only been through the drive-thru! read more

They are moderately priced, not being to high as well as not being to cheap, but in my opinion burgers are a high tier quality burger as far as taste and size. I love LuLu's, as an alumni of TAMUC and current Masters student I went here pretty often. I actually worked out with the owner before, cool guy. This is the premiere spot to go for burgers if you're in commerce. Their business is constantly growing day by day, and their two burger Wednesdays is epic. If you're ever in town I highly recommend stopping by and getting you some. Also try out their challenge to be on the wall of fame or fail and be on the wall of shame. The inside has a giant tv and there is a small area for outdoor seating. I don't know where the bad reviews come from, this place is awesome. Great food, lots of selection (not just burgers, but sandwiches and other items - can't remember them all right now). The one time I had a milkshake, it was mediocre. As for the food, they give you huge helpings, definitely enough to fill you up, and more than you would get at a fast food restaurant with the price being about the same. If you go, order Chili Cheese tots or fries - either with your meal or on their own - it's still a huge helping. With your meal, it's about half a portion of what you would get on their own, and even though they're not the best I've ever had, they are the best I have found after moving to Texas from the San Francisco-Bay Area about a year ago (Nation's Giant Hamburgers still beats this place in that regard). And they are 10 times better than Sonic Drive-In's "chili" and "cheese" (if you can call it that). I've only been here maybe 4 times after a couple friends told me about it last semester, but this has now become one of our regular hang out joints after classes are done for the day. Also, because we've become regulars (my friends moreso than me), the manager (owner?) has gotten to know them and asks for feedback on the food every once in a while. Great personal service, if you ask me! Commerce is a college town, with Texas A & M University - Commerce literally 3 blocks down and about 2 over from this place. The city of Commerce itself really doesn't have much for being a college town, but this is one of the few jems it does have for restaurants, the other being another burger joint & more place that opened last semester on the other side of campus, just across the street from the university. BURGERS - I've eaten two burgers there, once a Mushroom-Swiss, and another time a Texas BBQ (or whatever its called). Nothing to complain about. Burgers are tasty and substantial, though they might fall apart on you. CHICKEN SANDWICH - Mother of God, that might be one of the best chicken sandwiches I've ever had. Big meaty things that can mop up ketchup. I've had better, I've had worse. DRINKS - I don't know what it is, but Lulu's royally fucks up their beverages, and this is the one aspect that prevents me from giving the place 5 stars. I've gotten something different every time (Iced Tea, Coke, Root Beer), and every single time there was this weird chemical taste accompanying. I don't know if the cups they use are toxic or what, but drinks at Lulu's are disgusting. You're better off bringing a bottle of water with you or something. SERVICE - The staff at Lulu's is professional and courteous. The wait is a bit long, to the point that one wonders why they even have a drivethrough window in the first place (it's a good 7 minutes+). I understand that an above-average quality burger takes time to make, so it didn't bother me much...just odd. A couple reviews for the restaurant that have been posted here are inaccurate. To my knowledge, the restaurant has never "gone under." It has changed hands once, but that's it. It's never gone out of business. The new management, like the old management, is very good. The gentleman that I see at the front counter almost every time is always friendly and he remembers me each time I walk in. That has only happened a couple other times in this town at other establishments. They offer more than just burgers as another reviewer mentioned. They have sandwiches, fish, chicken, and even a kids menu. The food is made when you order it, so it takes 10 to 15 minutes to get your food, but it's always hot and fresh. I usually get the double patty bacon burger, but I also enjoy their grilled chicken sandwich and their Philly Cheesesteak. The sweet potato fries are also very good. Something that most other restaurants don't have, and they're healthier than regular fries. It's a great family restaurant (I brought my parents and my in-laws here when they visited a month ago) and the atmosphere is always nice. Over spring break they even had a buy one get one free burger special! I really enjoy eating there and would recommend them to anyone! read more
