As soon as the claim was completed I received a text at 1240 stating John's Tow would arrive at 1420. Then at 1249 John's Towing sent a text confirming the tow. At 1447 I sent a text asking when they would arrive. At 1450 John's towing called to say they never sent a text and they just got the work order and the best they could do would be 30 minutes, but would text me when they were 5 mines out. I called my insurance company to se if they could get movement but said that it would be 30 minutes. So I get a text at 1536 and hour later saying they are on their way, cool 5 minutes out. So at 1600 I call my insurance company to see what's up, we'll they are at least another 30 minutes out. Since I've been stuck in the sun in 100+ degrees waiting on a company that doesn't care about customer service I'm currently on my way to the hospital with heat exhaustion. I'm sure the divers are doing their best. The office staff is clearly not doing their job. I should have gotten a ride home, rented a car trailer and towed it myself. Would have been several hours faster. I've asked my insurance company to use another tow company so my car actually makes it to my house. Hope they do as I've asked....looks like im getting wheeled back into the ER. Good times, thanks for nothing. (I also have documentation supporting everything im saying). I called Tommy at 6:30 pm on a Tuesday night and he immediately went to work to secure a tow truck driver for 10:30 the next morning. When I arrived at 10:15 the next day, Dave was already waiting for me. Dave was off the charts amazing. He assessed the problem, and then carefully went to work, lifting the boat and trailer onto his flatbed. We were both stressed, knowing that the trailer barely fit the flatbed and that the wheel could break off at any point. Once the boat was on the trailer, he meticulously tied everything down, including the wheel that was about to fall off. I met him at the trailer repair place, and Dave showed as much precaution and expertise in offloading the boat and trailer as he did in getting it on his flatbed. Tommy charged $300 and I tipped Dave $75--but it was such a good deal!! I've added Absolute Towing to my address book and will only call them in the future for my towing services.
