I did not have a good flight with Lufthansa. The departing gate at Frankfurt airport wasn't the best experience. There no organization when lining up for your group number, it's basically everyone just standing around instead of being in an organize line. They also don't put on the TV what group number they are boarding so everyone just have to listen to the PA system with their low volume. The plane itself was not comfortable for long flights. The entertainment system is very slow and not reactive on the touchscreen. The window seat doesn't have a lot of leg room because there was a metal box there.

Flew out of Frankfurt via Lufthansa Cityliner on the CRJ900 and it was a decent experience. Since I was transiting within the Schengen there was no security check, just a bus ride, a long walk underneath the terminal, and another elevator ride. As my incoming plane was delayed, our flight was slightly delayed. Counter agents walked by the departure gate to gate check carry-ons since the CRJ900 is a tiny plane. The inflight service consisted of a bottle of water, along with a piece of Lindt milk chocolate. There was no wifi for the 1 hour flight into Amsterdam. Cabin crew were available and seemed German. Once we landed in Amsterdam, we walked down the plane and walked back up to the terminal.

The boarding process and service on the flight earns 5 stars. It was the unboarding to a bus that packed us in like sardines that lowered the rating. Other than that, it was a very good flight from Kraków to Frankfurt. Everything went well from check-in to boarding at the airport. We were initially concerned that our carry-on luggage was too big. Lufthansa is usually very strict on size and weight. The young lady at the counter said it's not a full flight. All was good in the world from that point on. Thankfully she was right. She was also the same person who boarded us at the gate. I recalled a childhood memory while watching the flight attendant giving a child passenger a pin and some chocolate. The same thing happened to me when I was visiting my brother in Germany at the age of 12. I fondly remember receiving a chocolate egg with a miniature Lufthansa airplane inside of it. It was cool to see that they still do that today. It's the no frills type of Business Class seating that is standard on smaller aircraft. The middle seat is left unoccupied. Actually, there were a lot of open seats since the flight wasn't full. It made it more comfortable. We were served a light meal. We weren't expecting that. It was probably the best unexpected meal that I've ever had on an airplane. A Caprese burrata, fresh brötchen, and a Portuguese egg tart. The brötchen had a cheese topping. It was all very good. At the end of the flight, we were all given a mini sized Rizzati Ferrara Nocciola chocolate praline. It made my day. Honestly, I wish the US airlines would do something similar to set them apart. It's those little things that give lasting memories. The service was great! As I mentioned earlier, the schengen shuttle to Terminal 1 was a cluster. That was the only thing that dampened the experience. It's Frankfurt Airport. What can I say?

Enjoyed the flights. Everything went smoothly and been awhile since I flew with this airline. Great service from checkin (used app but need to shown passport for international flight), to gate agents to flight attendants. Everything on time or even depart earlier. Foods are so so, didn't eat but saw them next to me. Overall well flights.

**Need for immediate assistance, *Call Airlines at* +1(855) 657~51.35 *phone number. They can help with booking management customer support, flight changes, and flight modifications. As an Emerald member with the oneworld alliance, I have always received complimentary seat selection on partner airlines. That changed with Royal Jordanian. I paid $140 for two seats that were clearly shown as a two seat row. When my wife and I boarded, we discovered the row actually had three seats. No one pays extra for a middle seat -- ever. My seat number was k6 and the seat has no cushion whatsoever, I had to stack pillows and blanket to prevent back pain Most incompetent company I've had to deal with. Called someone in Detroit to get information about the plane and flight, he gives me another number to call I believe it was in Chicago. I call that number, another person tells me we don't handle this, you have to call another number. Called that number, that person gave me the original Detroit number. I called Detroit back, another person answers and gives me the information I was asking to begin with. Not done yet. I finally check in and get on the plane, plane was gorgeous and flight attendants for most part were very hard working. Half the people on this flight were idiots, loud, arrogant, dirty and bathrooms even after a couple hours in flight were dirty, urine on the floor, clogged up sinks. Absolutely disgusting!!!! Like a fourth world country on a top of the line plane. I will never ever fly Royal Jordanian again!!!! Would rather pay twice as much and get to Amman in 3 days then fly this airline. Rather take any other airline that go through that hell again. read more

We had a flight back to LAX, a pretty big plane and tons of room for bags. Many people walked through with huge backpacks and no issue. My daughter walks by, and she was poked by the flight attendant and told that next time to check the bag since it won't fit in their carry on size, which doesn't make sense. There were other people with bigger bags than hers that got to go through, including my white husband. We had this issue going to and from Frankfurt, the attendants who work for Lufthansa are racists. They only make you check your bag and pay for it if you're a colored person. We had the same experience with their sister airline, Swiss Airlines. Seriously, be consistent with who needs to check their bags and if you're going to nickel and dime People, at least make it make sense. The plane is still outdated and the customer service was nonexistent. Why are we paying so much money for terrible service, racists attendants, subpar plane and updates? read more

Deutsche Lufthansa is a German aviation, with its subsidiary airline Lufthansa German Airlines. It is the second largest European airline, and was founded in 1955. It is a founding member of the Star Alliance, thus partnering with United Airlines in the US. Due to a missed connection, I had the opportunity to fly Lufthansa for the first time from Frankfurt (its main hub) to Paris on a late Wednesday night. Getting through Frankfurt airport was interesting, requiring a lot of walking. We took a shuttle from our gate to the plane, entering from the rear plane exit, climbing portable metal staircases. Even though announcements warned passengers not to bring more than one carry-on, a backpack is considered a personal item and I had no problem finding a place at the overhead. The plane was an older A320, with no seatback entertainment and unusable charging outlets. It was a full flight, so was lucky that the seat was available on such short notice. We took off at 21:35 after a short taxi, and landed into Paris at 22:25. It was mentioned as a 50 minutes fly time and they were exactly right. Germans and their companies are SO precise. And we were able to use a jet bridge at CDG, so that was something. One learning is that it really makes me appreciate flying non-LCC US airlines a lot more. In terms of experience, flying Lufthansa for short flights reminds me more of flying a US low cost carrier than one of the big three. read more

Lufthansa helps disabled people in a fantastic way. I had a staff member with me at boarding and landing. It was very helpful.
I took 4 different flights with Lufthansa within a week's time. Miami to Frankfurt and then on to my final destination in Europe, then back to MIA the same way. While Lufthansa gets 4 stars from me overall for this trip, the boarding process in FRA can be a bit disorganized, with airline staff allowing later groups to start boarding before many passengers in earlier groups have made it on the plane. While attendants on all their flights were friendly and outgoing, some planes were in better states of repair and cleanliness than others. The entertainment centers on their 747s (which I was on from Miami to Frankfurt and then back) are a bit clunky to use, with touchscreens that are very slow to respond. Their stable of movies and TV programs is limited and the selection is the same regardless where you're flying (some other airlines switch up their entertainment so you'll have different things to watch when flying east to west vs. the other direction, for example). One of the 747s I was on had stained seats, lots of broken or missing cup holders and hangers and was badly in need of a refresh. WiFi on one of the trans-Atlantic flights I was on was reliable and plenty fast, but it never worked at all on the 9+ hour flight from FRA to MIA, when I'd hoped to get some work done but was unable to connect at all. Food quality was good on both trans-Atlantic flights and this airline still offered complimentary drinks, including alcohol on those long-haul flights, a perk that some other airlines now charge for. read more

Lufthansa currently serves 229 destinations worldwide across 901 routes in 81 countries. Traveling with Lufthansa offers a consistently reliable experience. Even when passengers arrive at the airport tired and stressed from last-minute preparations, the staff remain calm, polite, and professional -- a quality that deserves praise. Check-in is smooth, with online options that save time and reduce queues. Boarding is generally well-organized, though occasional delays on the jet bridge can test patience, softened by the crew's welcoming smiles. Economy seating provides adequate comfort and legroom, meeting expectations for long-haul travel. Meal service is satisfactory, with special orders such as vegetarian or Asian vegetarian options standing out for their quality when requested in advance. Flight attendants are attentive and courteous, responding promptly to passenger needs and maintaining a warm atmosphere throughout the journey. Operationally, Lufthansa excels in punctuality, safety, and efficiency. Baggage delivery is quick, and arrivals are usually smooth. The airline's extensive route network and transparent pricing make it easy to plan trips without hidden costs. Fares are generally reasonable, offering good value for the service provided. Overall, Lufthansa balances comfort, professionalism, and reliability, making it a strong choice for both leisure and business travelers. For connections, Frankfurt Airport remains a favorite hub, combining efficiency with excellent facilities. read more
We had a great experience flying Lufthansa out of Frankfurt. Our seats were in Business Class, and although they did not have the fully reclining seat pods like United, the service was top-notch. We were treated very well all throughout the flight, with constant snacks and refreshments. The inflight announcements were spoken in both German and English. The attendants were very friendly. We had on-time boarding and arrived pretty much as scheduled. It was very comfortable and we were refreshed upon arriving at our destination. Danke! read more
Lufthansa (Deutsche Lufthansa AG) is the flag carrier of Germany. Initially called "Aktiengesellschaft für Luftverkehrsbedarf", or "Luftag", Lufthansa was founded in 1953 and beginning operations in 1955, Lufthansa is Germany's largest airline and the second largest in Europe by passenger count. When combined with its subsidiaries, Lufthansa is the largest airline in Europe by fleet size and passengers carried, and the fourth largest in the world by revenue. Lufthansa has 267 airplanes registered under their name. It's comparable to Emirates in terms of size which operates 245 wide-body air carriers and makes it one of the biggest airlines in the world. Lufthansa has hubs in Frankfurt am Main and Munich, Germany, and flies to over 80 countries. The airline also has codeshare partnerships with other airlines, which allows passengers to access more destinations and departure times. Lufthansa's subsidiaries include Austrian Airlines, Swiss Air, Brussels Airlines, and "Eurowings". Lufthansa is a founding member of Star Alliance, the world's largest airline alliance, which was formed in 1997. The airline also has a frequent-flyer program called Miles & More, which has over 27 million members. Lufthansa is known for it's reliability. My numerous experiences flying Lufthansa have all been good in general, with the quality of of food, service, comfort and amenities being commiserate with the Class and the Distance of my flight. Although both Business & First Class are quite pricy, luckily I was an independent contractor for airline special events and often reduced my fee in exchange for some excellent RT tickets for myself and a companion. The First Class Lounge at the Frankfurt International Airport is one of the best in Europe. read more

I flu Lufthansa from Fankfurt to Newark in September. The flight was delayed over 8 hours due to a mechancial issue. We were given a pamplet that ensured us a refund of $600 Euro. Lufthansa denied my claim and I had to send evidence to a German Conciliatory Board. Lufthansa then said they would pay me once I sent my bank transfer information, which I did. I have yet to get the refund and they refuse to give me a phone number to speak to someone directly. I will make every attempt not to use this airline in the future. Their customer service is horrible read more

My review for Lufthansa needed to be revisited. I was a little harder on them a decade ago. Things have changed, specifically as it concerns my experiences with them. In short, all the goings-on in the cabin are much improved, both on long-haul flights on twin aisle heavies and shorter flights. I have flown Lufthansa, mostly booking with United, their main Star Alliance partner, and have crossed the Atlantic and connected in Germany to Southern Europe. In doing so and paying attention to the routing, I've flown on their two 747 variants and their Airbus A340-600. What I'm seeing is that the service is more affable, albeit still a little formal. They continue to be strict about two things. First, they don't want you walking around toward other classes of service, such as to pass through for a restroom. Second, if the plane starts to bounce around, they want you seated and, if someone does get up, even to use the restroom, they let them know that they need to sit down. It has gone from stern to prescriptive. As for the food in economy, every meal I've had on transatlantic flights has been very good for what it is and they give you a choice of two entrees. On this last flight, it was pasta or chicken. If you don't find it on the monitor, you may have to ask about the preparation. I was hungry for some chicken, or beef, but when told about its preparation with curry, I ran to the pasta as quickly as I could. The pasta was actually lasagna and it was tasty. Please do not serve meals with curry or other polarizing spices. In-flight monitor selections are ample. I struggle to watch movies during a flight, so I entertain myself with factoids found on the flight maps. I try to sleep but, in smaller seats, usually can't. I don't ask for much, except for two drinks at the same time - a soft drink and cold water, or tea and juice when they have the coffee service. I also like to get up and stretch my legs. I connect onto or from Lufthansa using United. I had one excellent flight from BOS to FRA, which left and arrived early. The very capable Airbus 340-600 hurtled down the tarmac and rotated effortlessly. It was also a comfortable trip. However, my best recent flight was aboard their 747-400 from FRA to IAH-Bush. I was sitting by the window in the penultimate duet and a lady came and sat in the aisle seat. I couldn't figure out where she was from, so we didn't speak. She proceeded to spread this windbreaker onto my side of the armrest with no qualms about invading my space. With her salt and pepper bun and disheveled apparel, she could have been from a hamlet in Bohemia, thus connecting in Frankfurt, or she could have been going back to New Braunfels or some commune outside of Austin. I could be totally off. The last duets behind me were empty. I looked back in despair and caught a flight attendant's eye. He gave me a quick tilt of his head as if to say, 'Go ahead and move ... it's fine.' I did. I took the window duet behind me. In looking through the crack between the seats, this lady was all over the place! That included removing her shoes, and this was someone you wouldn't want removing their shoes. Again, the -400 provided a smooth flight in clear and serene skies, the trip was slightly shorter than scheduled, the food was good, and, with some empty seats, the crew was very pleasant. There's less opportunity to sample Lufthansa on connecting flights down to Southern Europe, but they are much the same. While not fed a meal, they hand out chocolates and they're by Lindt, so it's good stuff. Lufthansa flies to many North American airports and, in the U.S., they also serve gateways that are not United hubs - Atlanta, Boston, Dallas, Detroit, Miami, and others. In Canada, they serve Air Canada hubs like Montreal and Toronto but also go to Vancouver. They have a fleet featuring both Boeing and Airbus products and their logistics dictate if they base them at FRA or at MUC. While Northwest (absorbed by Delta) was the launch customer for the 747-400, Lufthansa is proudly the launch customer for the 747-800. When I've seen some of the sternness on yesteryear's flights, I thought of Irma Bunt! To me and some of my friends, she was among the most colorful of James Bond's adversaries and we knew many of the good lines. Now, with newer attendants, a broader mix of ethnicities and gender, and more senior attendants who have mellowed or been sent to charm school, cabin service is markedly improved. You also sense Lufthansa's exacting style. Even in making announcements, pilots provide more detail and do so in better English than their Southern European counterparts. Clearly, the idea here is to move Lufthansa from 3 to 4 stars. They can be a little expensive but sometimes come through with good fares within Europe and even some long-haul specials. In English, I can go with 4 words for 4 stars: IRMA BUNT NO MORE In German, I can go with these words: LUFTHANSA IST SEHR GUT read more

RUN RUN away from this incompetent airline. I have spent 3 hours trying to log in. Service rep finally told me to call Check In Technical Support. I must have interrupted this woman's nap as all she could tell me was to try another browser- already tried 2 computers, phone and 2 browsers. Then told me that there was nothing else to offer me in terms of help. REFUSED to allow me to talk to a supervisor - can you believe. I have watched this company go Down Down in terms of service, flights, food etc. I wish they would go bankrupt as they do not seem to realize who pays their salaries. NOBODY HERE GIVES A F....... about the customer. It's worse than the worse 3rd world airline you can fly. Are they still mad that they lost the war or what???? read more
This airline is efficient, professional, knows how to cater to customers, is roomy, even in economy and has the most delicious chocolates (although they need to give more than 1!). Flew Lufthansa home from the Czech Republic, with a layover in Frankfurt. The first leg was fine. We were comfortable and well taken care of, regarding refreshments and snacks. On the second leg, we were crammed into the tiniest seats in the second to last row of the plane. Me, being smaller than my hubs, switched seats with him, so he could have the aisle and a bit more room. I had to sit almost the entire flight with my shoulders in the shrug position, just to feel like I fit in the middle of the three seats. Service was good, with multiple offers of beverages. The dinner was not the worst thing I ever ate, but it wasn't the best either. I don't know if it was because we were in economy and so, were given a low end meal, or if that was the meal that pretty much everyone got, but it was some kind of vegetarian ravioli. The insides were a flavorless orange mush....could have been sweet potato, could have been squash...who knows? For breakfast, we were given a very slightly filled hot pocket type of thing that I think was pizza. There was so much dough that I literally took 3 bites and was done. This is why I always make sure I have snacks with me. For the duration of the flight, a blanket, pillow, and ear buds were provided. The blanket kept me warm, but the pillow was a bit lumpy. The ear buds were fine, but one just wouldn't sit in my ear and I had to hold it in practically the entire flight. Also of note, we had a serious medical emergency on board and had to be diverted to Iceland midway through our trip. The crew handled it expertly, letting us know (within reason) what was happening. Upon arriving in the states, assistance was given for missed connections, and hotel and meal vouchers were given out to travelers, such as ourselves, who were inconvenienced. I flew Lufthansa once before and loved it. The food is the only thing I can complain about with this most recent trip! 43/2024 read more
Superb, despite the flight delay We took Lufthansa for a flight back from Portugal to California days before Christmas. They had a code share with United in Frankfurt. Despite making it about 15 minutes before takeoff, United refused us entry and apparently had already sold our seats. So, off to United's service desk we went. Rude treatment, before a nice gentleman stepped in and sent us to Lufthansa at the ticket counters. Things started to track better from there. Lufthansa's professional and thoughtful person booked us on a flight the next day. She was open about the airline covering hotel and a meal for us without being prompted, and gave us a card with our traveler's rights per the EU. She directed us to the train to get to our hotel. After figuring it our after a police emergency at our stop, we ended up is a simple room and got some sleep in. Checking in the next day was easy. We were offered a good deal to upgrade to business class and took it. A-MA-ZING! If you can treat yourself once, do it. Attentive and kind stewardess, plus amazing food, and the comfiest sleeping experience while in motion I've ever had. Holy heck it was nice. When we got home, I filed our claim for having been displaced from our flight. Had to figure out a secure way of communicating some info, but then the deposit lands and more than covered the upgrade. Thanks to Lufthansa for making the end to a big trip excellent, especially after United faceplanted and caused unnecessary stress. read more

I had good experiences with Lufthansa in the past, so I was hoping to have a repeat. I thought it was was a solid choice, but not anymore. In the Frankfurt Terminal Z to USA (I took a flight to LAX) we were resting at the gate, after struggling through the airport and found some nice seats. We gathered (they weren't clear,no announcement) that we need to line up. Long line for Economy passangers, a Lufthansa female employee was screaming at everyone, looked at everyone's passports, some we had to stay, some not, what criteria? No idea? A bit of a Schindler's list vibe! After a long wait we had our passports checked. Then, we lost our seat, no place to relax before boarding. Upon boarding , they checked our passports AGAIN! So, why did we stay in that line before? Once, I underdstand, twice it's stupid! We were checked before anyway - if you go through security in Frankfurt or before at you initial destination. On the plane, more nonsense. My monitor didn't work, was frozen, kept clicking to get a flight attendant over, they would cancel it. After back and forth someone showed up and rebooted it. It never worked well. I need to watch movies since it's such a long flight, but I gave up on a few because when paused you'd lose your place, miss scenes, so I cared too much about some movies to watch them like that. Food- dreadful, don't know what happened. No meat dish, choice between spinach curry (no thank you!) and ravioli (w. spinach). I guess someone had to dump some old spinach somewhere. We picked at our ravioli. Otherwise, cold stoned bun and dreadful/fake looking dessert. Luckily we had food from my mom. For the 2nd meal, we skipped the cold sandwich with horrible bread, cheese and zucchini that tasted terrible. Stopped eating it, not wanting to get sick. Lots of turbulances on top of it. So, not a pleasant flight. Each time I went to get water from flight attendants area I felt like I was interrupted an important conversation. Not the nicest folks. Pretty bad experiences, very dissappointed! Too bad a solid airline went downhill so much! read more

If you fly Lufthansa from an Asian or African country, and transit through Frankfurt airport in Germany, be prepared for a rough experience. My wife and I just got back to the US of A from Hyderabad, India, yesterday, taking Lufthansa flights, LH753 and LH418. It is not uncommon to observe that airlines from across the world that fly into airports across the United States follow certain additional security procedures mandated by DHS. This is Lufthansa for you. First, you are greeted by Frankfurt police officers who are uniformed, fully armed - with automatic weapons - in combat gear. They randomly stop passengers at the entrance of the terminal while they are just getting out of a flight that has just arrived. My wife and I traveled in Premium Economy and we were the first to leave the aircraft after the Business Class passengers got out. When we were still on the aerobridge (jetway), we saw three Caucasian American passengers leave without being stopped and checked. We also saw an African gentleman being stopped. Then we both got stopped and the police officer asked us for our passports. She asked us where we were going and so on. We were surprised why these Police Officers were checking passports of passengers who were just arriving. It became clear that we were in a country that was not friendly to "non-White" folks. We just ignored it and moved on. All flights to the United States depart from the Z wing of Terminal 1. Here, before you enter the Z wing, you encounter an "army" of Lufthansa security folks. We waited patiently in long lines. When we finally got to the security check point, we placed our carryon bags for X-ray inspection after taking out stuff that needed to be taken out. Then we went through the full body scanner and got out after the green light came on without any issues. When we went to collect our bags that had just come out of X-ray, we were stopped by the Lufthansa security staff for a secondary check. We were not informed why we had to go through a secondary inspection. We were literally held and dragged to the secondary inspection room where we were asked some ridiculous questions and physically checked by hand. It was quite humiliating. The security people used extremely derogatory language. The woman security staff even verbally abused my wife and even had the audacity to tell us that they were randomly checking Asians and Africans. I clearly knew this was not a one-off situation. We were angry but helpless. We came out to take our carryon bags. The place is extremely crowded and we could not stand there and check the bags. When we got to the departure gate, we wanted to reorganize things in our bags. We found that the security staff had literally taken out some of the expensive, delicate, hand-crafted artifacts we had purchased in India and Thailand during this trip and had not put them back. This was daylight robbery. The crummy security people stole it. Even the mobile charger was missing. This is not an aberration. These rogue security characters routinely harass South Asian and African passengers. Many endure and don't report or talk about it. I decided not to do that. These folks are rude, mean, nasty folks with a perverted, racist mindset. We complained about this crappy harassment and stolen items to another bunch of cold Lufthansa representatives with a couldn't care less attitude. They told us that we have to get out of the terminal and talk to the Police and go back to the security checkpoint to enter the terminal. The Lufthansa security folks showed their true colors. These folks have not forgotten their country Germany's past history. If people traveling in Business Class and Premium Economy can be treated like this by the airline security staff, then I can only say this has become a crummy carrier. It's a SHAME that this airline is part of the Star Alliance. The airline operates refurbished Boeing 747 airplanes introduced in the 60s. This picture shows the higher price Premium Economy cabin, which is right behind Business Class. Oh well! read more

Zero if I could: This is my first and last time ever flying Lufthansa! I thought that being a German company the experience would be stellar. Complete opposite! 1. 4 tix at $9000. Paid extra for seat assignment. Seats were changed 4 times to then have us on the 4th change to not sit together. SFO to Frankfurt to Rome. 2. SFO to Frankfurt's reassigned seats were up against a wall, 3 seat reclined one inch, 4th seat did not recline at all, for 11 hours. Remember that I paid extra to not get the seats I wanted. 3. Check in attendants were the rudest I have ever experienced. 4. Take off was delayed. The flight attendants were not friendly at all. My son asked for ice tea and the stewardess literally snapped at him, "No!" 5. Arrived in Rome after 11 hours, connected on to the next flight to then be asked to disembark due to a door issue. 6. Again, RUDE counter attendants the caused mass confusion when trying to update the passengers. Everyone stormed the counter. What they wanted was 70 volunteers to get off the flight with a 250 voucher. Because they caused so much confusion, the counter attendants started yelling and threatening all of us that if we didn't cooperate that they would just cancel the flights altogether. 7. They couldn't get 70 people, they got 50, and then started to pull the rest of the people the next flight. 8. Once that happened, we were able to board. Once seater, the captain came on and said that the counter attendants miscounted and still needed 10 people to get off so they randomly selected another 10 people. 9. I was supposed to arrive in Rome today at two but I am still seated waiting to take off because now they are questioning the load of people and where we are all seating. 10. I am BEYOND DISGUSTED WITH THIS AIRLINE. I will ever ever ever fly Lufthansa again. In my 50 years of international travel, I have never experienced such rudeness, disorganized, and horrible treatment of their passengers. First and last time. I would like a refund for paying for seat selection early when I didn't get any of the seats I wanted from SFO to Frankfurt due to the 4 x that we were moved and ultimately to a horrible seat situation read more

I would be flying LH for part of the journey that I originally booked on United site. I selected three seats on LH website that costed 105 dollars, including all taxes. This is the figure showing on LH website. But they took 124 dollars from my credit card. When called, three agents promised a refund of the excess $19 (rounded figure). Waited. Then a fourth agent enters the scene and say no refund as one of the seats I selected cost a lot more. It is the LH website that showed me the cost that I paid for. I have the proof (snapshot of LH website) that my seats purchase costed only $105. Not only did the agent refused refund of excess, but also CONFUSED me about the itinerary by saying something completely different than what is on my tkt. When pointed out of his mistake, he defended himself. Another agent claims that tax made the difference. Excuse me, but a 3 dollar tax is not going to change 105 to 124. Plus 105 was the final amount LH website showed as what I would pay for the seats I selected. Either refund when you charge excess or get facts straight on LH website. LH was the airlines that United automatically selected for the dates/price I wanted. I sincerely wish I should have spent more and stick with United, instead of LH. Otherwise, be prepared to loose your money with LH, because they are not going to admit their mistake or refund you if they take extra. Going forward, I would stick with United for international trips. read more

Hands down the WORST airline experience I have ever had. Absolutely despicable customer service over and over again. Canceled flight with no warning and no offer to refund what I paid for it. Customer service is still giving me the run around THREE WEEKS later. ABSOLUTELY HORRIFIC. Will NEVER FLY with these jerks again and will make sure every single person I come in contact with that travels will hear my story. These people should not be allowed to operate a business. The short truth is that Lufthansa genuinely does not care about its customers and their experience. They will take your money, keep it when you do not get the service and will treat you like a less-than-human the whole time. Traveling is stressful enough. Learn from my mistakes and do not choose to fly with this airline. This is the detailed version of what happened: I had a business trip booked taking me from SFO to Frankfurt and then on to Verona. Because of a co-workers diligence in checking on things we found out that my second flight had been canceled due to the strikes. Lufthansa gave me NO notification of this. Thank god for the diligence of my co-worker. When I arrived to SFO to check in for the first leg of my journey I went to the counter to see what could be done about the canceled flight. Despite my pleasant attitude when I approached the desk (I understand strikes, I have a lot of European friends) I was received by the most horrible woman I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. She told me she could help me with nothing and I had to call to re-book. I let her know that I had been trying to call since I woke up and that the lines were so busy they would not even ring through. She had no response to that and just stood there glaring at me. When I realized I was going to get nowhere on that issue I moved on to my second question about possibly paying to upgrade to a slightly better seat on my first flight. She replied in the snottiest tone possible "Yeah, for $900 dollars." At that point I just gathered up my things, said thank you and walked away. That woman alone was enough for me to never want to deal with this airline again. It would be one thing if I was unpleasant when I approached her, but I was not. I have worked in customer service a lot and I know that these people have no control over these situations and are just the messengers. They do have control over their attitudes though! I never was able to get through to re-book anything and ended up buying a $275 train ticket and taking 9 hours of train rides to get to my destination, replacing my 1 hour flight. Once I was at my destination I borrowed the phone of a co-worker that had a good international plan and called to see what would be done about issuing me a refund, etc. A VERY rude person answered and told me I had to email customer relations. Ok. I emailed. I heard nothing. Seven days later I followed up, only to get a reply that proved the agent writing had not even read my initial request of a few lines. I wrote back to clarify. Days. Again, a reply not answering my question. I clarified. Days. Another email, this time about my return trip and how I am in the wrong because they booked a hotel for me, etc. for my messed up journey back. (Oh, did I mention they completely messed up my return trip in the mean time and I was stuck in Germany for 17 hours?!) I wrote back again to clarify that I was not talking about my return trip, but as my initial inquiry clearly stated was asking about my trip going over and being refunded for a flight they canceled. I am STILL WAITING. Other fun notes: -$35 to be able to select a seat? Come on! -Delayed flights first thing in the morning -Very expensive flights for horrible service -Terrible customer service when my Father called to find out the status of my flight when the Lufthansa website did not update. Given that they had just lost a plane in a crash and everyone perished you would think they would have at least been more helpful in that moment. Nope! Shame on you Lufthansa. read more

To: Carsten Spohr CEO Von-Gablenz-Straße 2-6 50679 Köln, Germany Dear Mr. Spohr, On July 3, 2016, I sent the first letter by email to you, Mr. Carsten Spohr, CEO of Lufthansa. In this letter I asked you to make sure that my return ticket to ... is not cancelled because I was not able to return to ... on March 30, 2016 because of my medical condition. Currently I am still in rehabilitation in two hospitals here in Toronto, Canada in order to recover from my brain injury and brain operation that followed. For some unexplainable reason, the response that came from you indicated that you could not find my name in the passengers' list of the flights I took with your airline even though I have provided you with my full first and last name, the flights dates, and the flights numbers. I must say that in this time of terrorism, it is worrisome that you were not able to find me in the list of the passengers. Today (July 22, 2016) at 5:00pm I called the Lufthansa Reservations Centre of Peterborough Ontario Canada. The phone number I called was 1-800-563-5954 and I spoke with ... (agent sign: ..., location call centre: ...). I gave him my full first and last name, the flights dates, and the flights numbers. I asked him to give me my flight ticket number based on the information that I provided him. He could not find my name in the passenger lists of these flights. He was able to find out that I have been on these flights only after I actually provided him with my ticket number. Lufthansa is the largest airline in Europe. It is truly very disturbing to find out that safety concerns are not on the top of the list of Lufthansa. In addition, there was a delay of the flight from Frankfurt to Toronto due to mechanical problems with the airplane. I had to stay overnight in Frankfurt before continuing my journey to Toronto while I was after brain injury and in need of medical attention. In addition, when I called the Lufthansa Reservations Centre of Peterborough Ontario Canada before my return flight to ... which was scheduled for March 30, 2016, they were rude when I asked them to postpone my flight back to ... because all my doctors in Canada advised me to continue with treatment for rehabilitation before I return to ... I did not have the strength at the time to argue with the people of Lufthansa Reservations Centre. In addition, after a few reminders from me by email, you responded to my request by asking me for information stating that you could not find me in the passengers list of flight ... that left ... to Frankfurt on February 23, 2016 and you could not find my name on the passenger list of the flight that left to Toronto from Frankfurt. You asked me to provide you with my ticket number or the reservation code. On July 15, 2016 I sent you my Lufthansa itinerary which includes the booking reference and the ticket number and my boarding ticket from Frankfurt to Toronto which includes the ticket number. I have not heard from you yet despite the fact that I have sent you several reminders. In addition, as I have stated previously in my two letters to you, I will provide you with all necessary medical documentation from my doctors in Canada and in ... I think that any other airline would have postponed my flight due to my serious medical condition and given all the difficulties that your airline has caused me, I would expect a compensation too. I look forward to your response soon. Yours truly, I received a response from Lufthansa a month later saying that I have to pay $600 for my return (the round trip ticket cost me $700). I will take them to court. read more

The website was easy to navigate, and all important details such as flight schedule, fare summary, baggage allowance, and seat selection were clearly mentioned. Disembarkation was managed properly, and baggage delivery was timely. My luggage arrived safely without any damage or delay. Overall, the journey was comfortable and hassle-free. While there is always room for minor improvements, such as additional entertainment options or expanded meal choices, the overall service quality was reliable. Based on this experience, I would consider choosing this airline again for future travel.!! j read more

Dear Lufthansa Team, I am writing to you with deep disappointment and frustration regarding my recent experience as a passenger of your airline. It is imperative that I convey my utter displeasure and make you fully aware of the extent of my dissatisfaction. Let me start by pointing out the absolute lack of respect and consideration towards your customers when it comes to your customer service. Waiting for endless hours to receive a response, only to be greeted by apathetic and incompetent staff, is simply unacceptable. Your telephone line seems to be nothing but a façade, as I never managed to obtain a satisfactory solution to my issues. Furthermore, it is outrageous that your refund policy is nothing short of a mockery to passengers. How dare you withhold a portion of the money that rightfully belongs to us when you are the ones responsible for flight changes? Your lack of transparency and your miserly approach instead of guaranteeing a full refund demonstrate a complete lack of business ethics. As if that weren't enough, I am deeply frustrated by the lack of direct and professional communication with your representatives. A call center in India? Do you honestly believe that is sufficient to provide quality service? As a passenger, I expected personalized treatment and proper attention from the airline, not to be treated as just another number in your deficient customer service system. I demand that you take these complaints seriously and take immediate steps to improve your customer service. As a renowned airline, you should be ashamed of how you treat your customers. Review your policies, train your staff, and provide swift and fair solutions to the issues that arise during flights. As a consumer, I have the right to expect quality service and a satisfactory experience. If Lufthansa cannot meet these basic expectations, then it does not deserve the loyalty of passengers. I am determined to share my negative experience with fellow travelers on any available platform to warn them about the hardships they will face if they choose to fly with your airline. I sincerely hope that you take my concerns seriously and work diligently to rectify these severe deficiencies in your service. Customer satisfaction should be your number one priority, and until you demonstrate genuine change, I will vehemently refuse to consider Lufthansa as a viable option for future travel. Yours sincerely, Freddy N read more

Extremely Disappointing Customer Service Experience I had an unfortunate encounter with Lufthansa's customer service, which significantly marred my overall experience. I want to highlight that this review pertains specifically to their call center and counter customer service, not their in-flight service. Here's the sequence of events that transpired: 1. Failed Online Booking: When attempting to purchase two tickets on their website, the site froze upon clicking "purchase." No success page was displayed. 2. Immediate Contact: In response, I promptly called the airline to clarify the situation. They assured me that no flights had been booked. 3. Successful Booking on Expedia: To secure our travel, we successfully purchased the tickets through Expedia. 4. Unexpected Charge: Shockingly, a week later, an unexplained charge of $3500 appeared on our credit card from the initial unsuccessful Lufthansa booking. 5. Unhelpful Customer Service: Contacting Lufthansa, I was informed that it was too late to cancel the flight. Despite our numerous attempts to resolve the issue, the customer service representatives seemed uninterested in assisting, consistently deflecting responsibility. 6. Disputed Charge: We sought resolution through Amex, but our efforts were futile due to a lack of proof for the original call. 7. Airport Frustration: Upon arrival at the airport, we encountered further frustration. Lufthansa's representatives continued evading responsibility, resulting in wasted time and no resolution. 8. Traveling with Extra Seats: Ultimately, my wife and I were left traveling with four seats, a predicament that was entirely avoidable. In retrospect, it is evident that Lufthansa's customer service approach is deeply flawed. Their apparent lack of concern for the considerable inconvenience and financial burden placed on customers raises serious questions about their commitment to providing satisfactory service. Regrettably, this ordeal has left an indelible mark on our perception of Lufthansa. We unequivocally will not consider flying with them again in the future. Disheartened and Disillusioned, Luke B. read more

***Please**Call main assistance (Toll Free) Customer Service Contact: +1 (8 4 4/3 3 3-06.20 -- available 24/7 to speak with a representative. *As an Emerald member with the oneworld alliance, I have always received complimentary seat selection on partner airlines, so I was surprised by my experience with Royal Jordanian. *My wife and I paid an additional $140 to reserve what was clearly displayed as a two-seat row. However, upon boarding, we discovered it was actually a three-seat row. No traveler willingly pays extra for a middle seat, so this felt misleading and disappointing. *My assigned seat, 6K, was extremely uncomfortable and seemed to have little to no cushioning. I had to stack pillows and blankets just to avoid back pain during the flight. *The customer service experience before departure was also frustrating. I called the Detroit office seeking information about the aircraft and flight details, only to be redirected to another number in Chicago. After calling Chicago, I was told they could not help and was referred elsewhere, which ultimately led me back to the original Detroit number. Only after multiple calls did someone finally provide the information I needed from the beginning. *To be fair, the aircraft itself was beautiful, and most of the flight attendants worked very hard and remained professional throughout the journey. Unfortunately, the onboard environment was disappointing. Several passengers were loud and inconsiderate, and the lavatories became dirty very quickly, with urine on the floors and sinks clogged only a few hours into the flight. *Overall, this was one of the most frustrating airline experiences I've had. Despite the modern aircraft and hardworking crew, the poor customer service, misleading seating information, and unpleasant cabin conditions mean I would not choose Royal Jordanian again. read more

We're enormous aficionados of Lufthansa, so normally we were energized that our flight home from LHR to SFO we booked through +1-855-9483-665 was really a Lufthansa work flight (however needed to check in through Delta's site, and so on). The lady who helped us at LHR handle in our packs was really working the Lufthansa work area. I simply don't care for the entryway set up at LHR, however I don't believe that is their deficiency. There on the off chance that you need to utilize the bathroom, you should be certain you go before they check your ticket at the door for you to hold up in the sitting area. At that point the bathroom took a couple of moments to stroll to. I didn't have the foggiest idea about this from the start and she filtered me in then let me know and afterward "disboarded me" to utilize the restroom. This was the main carrier I've taken that gave us a container of water while we were strolling down to the plane. They worked admirably of taking care of us on the plane as well and were benevolent. Legroom was alright and the washrooms appeared to be a little cleaner than others I've taken. At the point when I called about possibly 14 days before our outing, I can't exactly recall, yet I called asking something, and they said that they didn't have a portion of the data, or whatnot, however that we were affirmed, and so forth. I feel this may have been because of us flying various transporters or whatnot, however everything was fine. We didn't encounter any hiccups with them on the flight or previously and we got to SFO somewhat sooner than the normal appearance time. All things considered, I am satisfied with Lufthansa and energetically prescribe them for your movements to/from the UK. Best global flight experience I've had up until now. read more

For immediate help, you can call customer support at $$ 1 (866) 867 (3648). This line is open 24/7, so you can quickly connect with a real person for any travel-related assistance. One of the most convenient aspects of this service is its round-the-clock availability. Rather take any other airline that go through that hell again read more
