This was my friend, Alisha, and my first time trying out Turkish Breakfast. The owner of the…read morecafe/shop, Ece, was really kind. She recommended several dishes and treated us like VIP guests. While waiting for the orders, I noticed a lot of people come in and out of the store buying organic and baked goods. So this place is a cafe, restaurant, and shop. I love the vibe because it's so cozy, cute, welcoming, and fun. The employees are very kind and attentive.
The food was delicious, I loved everything! I can't remember the name of the dishes because they are in Turkish. But I have to say, I was very happy with how everything we ordered tasted. The omelette with tomatoes was one of my favorites. It comes in a little pan served on a plate. I also love the plate with different condiments and cheeses and a boiled egg. The egg was perfectly boiled. The butter with honey was to die for! It's so soft and light, the honey really goes well with it.
Moreover, the baked goods are really fresh and delicious, especially the baklava. I also got dates, almonds, a spicy paste sauce (in a jar), and dried apple piece to go. I shared them with friends in the States, and the food is DELICIOUS. Ece had told Alisha and I that the food is from villages in Turkey, a lot of them from Izmir. Overall, the food was out of this world, service was great, and Turkish teas were really good.
Thank you so very much Ece and the employees!!!
P.S.: The restroom is downstairs next to the kitchen. It's pretty tiny, but really cute and clean.
