This is a great place to get your laundry done! It's extremely clean with new efficient machines in a variety of sizes, a restroom that is immaculate, & clean comfortable setting. The staff is responsive friendly and very polite! The machines are kept clean and work! The apartment complex I'm at the machines are old and poorly maintained the clothes always come out with a funky odor and never seem to feel clean. There is a brewery next door - brilliant perk! The price of the wash is reasonable for a laundromat and the dryers are massive! If you take a dry towel just for the dryer, clothes will dry faster. I've read the reviews and the negative ones are salty people who just want to complain about something. We all have bad days but why take it out on a business. Ive never been in an air conditioned laundromat ever and if that is a dealbreaker sit in your car with the A/C on. Laundromats are always a hot environment due to the machines. Complaints about not having vending machines is silly. You're a grownup make sure you have what you need to get the job done. If you're afraid of panhandling you might consider never leaving your house. If it bothers you so much report it and move on. Your privileged and shouldn't take it out in a review against the owner. Also, it's not the laundromat's responsibility to make sure you remembered your detergent and vending machines are expensive and expensive to maintain. This laundromat is a great place and more laundromats should be upgraded and maintained in the same manner. I was surprised that this place was as old as it is. I was very impressed with Lucy's laundromat! Never felt so comfortable doing my laundry. Didn't have to worry about doing my laundry with so many people their, or that I would get a dryer that didn't work. Worst of all having to wait to use a dryer! I was excited trying out new washing machine and dryer's that actually did dry clothes. But what won me over was the space it has people can walk around without having to bump to each other like bumper cars, and the big garage door that is open and fresh air can come in! I found a new place where to do my laundry! I would like to see a vending machine of drinks because I do get a bit dehydrated doing laundry. LOL other than that awesome! read more

I used to use the laundromat in my apartment community since it was more convenient, so I thought. Then I came across this laundromat. It is clean and the washers clean the clothes really really nicely. Dryers are amazing too, they dry your items in like 25 minutes. This is an awesome spot. I have tried several laundry mats in Orange County, some good & MANY bad! Lucy's FluffN Fold takes the grand prize-not only is the place super clean, it's really spacious (several clean waiting areas with couches), all the machines are new, can select from numerous sized machines (they have super large ones that I have never seen-so great for comforters or large loads), all functions work on the machines, they are operated by a card so you don't have to spend an hour slamming quarters into the machines (so much better) & no homeless trying to steal your change as it falls out of the quarter machine.... If you are looking for a high class, exceptionally well kept, really nice place to do your laundry-look no further-this place takes the cake!!!! The hours and the location are great, however, they constantly have issues with their washers. This is the second time that a laundry machine had locked it's door and prevented me from getting my clothes out. The first time there was no attendant and it was near impossible for me to get to someone via the Ring or the phone number on the back of the laundry card, ultimately I had to wait 20-30 mins for an driver to come and assist. Today, I had another error message and had to get an attendant to open the machine. The problem today was that the machine stopped working mid wash and all my clothes were soaked, I asked the attendant if he could start the machine again and he looked terrified saying that I would have to pay an additional 6 dollars. He said the owners wanted to enforce that policy. Why should I pay 12 dollars to wash 4 loads when I had already paid. I told the assistant if he could not resolve the issue I would call someone else, so I called the number on the back of the card 714-378-0777 and good luck getting a hold of anyone. read more

I have been wanting to try this laundromat for a very long time, because it is next to a brewery. I have laundry facilities at my apartment building, but to make the trip around the corner and do laundry all in one swoop is a treat. This place is clean, they have a lot of machines that are commercial grade, that you can do multiple loads in, and multiple dryers. You can use the sanitize load prior to you doing your laundry, For free. It has couches and counters to sit at to read or listen to music, and there's a brewery right next-door. This is the 2nd time I've had a problem with the dryers not completely drying my towels. I used to go to the location in Huntington Beach and never had this problem with those dryers. But that's closed now because it was getting rundown & the machines were old. The first time I put in on medium heat because that's what I used in the HB location. But here they did not dry & were still damp. So this time I put it on "hot"& they still didn't dry! It's only 2 towels & there wasn't a ton of other things drying with it. I came here to wash a few blankets I spent a total of $30 on washing and drying and my blankets smell bad. Prior to washing them they didn't have this particular weird gross smell. I used tide detergent and fabric softener. After I finished I decided to look into the area that I put soap in and there was a lot of residue of old soap, it was halfway full of water and green detergent that looks like mold (I didn't have green detergent). Due to the pandemic and getting up in age, it was time for me to find a local fluff and fold service that would come to my home twice a week. I signed up with Lucy's Costa Mesa and could not be happier. They show up and drop off when they are suppose to. The team who clean and fold the clothes do a great job of separating and bundling items for storage and organization. Even the delivery driver Adrian goes above and beyond getting my stuff delivered, he goes through some bushes and lays my stuff neatly on the patio. What a great team effort at Lucy's Costa Mesa. Lucy's laundromat is AWESOME!!! It's is definitely different than most laundromats . I was looking for something nice because i was taking my kids with me. I was definitely impressed when I arrived . It is in a very great location and the outside of the building looks modern . The inside is very clean and the staff is inviting . They provide couches which are comfortable and spacious and a restroom that is only key-card accessible. The pricing is extremely fair and in my opinion way too cheap for the experience you receive here. This is now and forever the only place I will go for my laundry and i am excited to check out their fluff and fold option because I am not a huge fan of doing my own laundry *If you go check this place out just know that they close exactly at 11 , so you MUST be done before then because you will be kicked out before you are done haha ( the only recommendation i have would be to include some kind of snack center or vending machine) read more

It's not the cheapest place dryer prices are pricey. They do extra large drying loads so possibly ends up close to regular prices. I will say this place is really clean and nice. Toss up on staff sometimes rude sometimes nice so I try not to bother them otherwise I would have gave 5 stars. Do not go to the one on Adams in HB super ghetto, nasty filthy, and if you go after 9pm you get dirty looks by staff the entire time you're there. I've been traveling lately and need to wash my clothes about once a week and seen quite a few laundromats. Lucy's is a standout. They call it a "Modern Laundromat" and I agree. It's large, clean and bright. The machines were all new and each was named after a local town, unusual. No need for quarters instead you put cash or credit/debit into a machine that issues their card to insert in the washer and dryer. There's several sizes of washers and the price will vary based on type of wash and water temperature. Dryers were a flat rate and usually got everything dry in the 24 minute cycle. There's places to sit, WiFi and a bathroom! A very pleasant experience that got me out of there rather quickly. It's a definite go to for me as I used it several times. The only drawback for is there's still some money on my Lucy's card and I've moved on. It's ok it's not the much for such a pleasant laundromat. read more

Washers need to wash better and dryers need to dry better. Spent $45 dollars on 5 loads. The washers left my clothes and blankets still with soap and had to wash them again. When I put my clothes and blankets to dry I had to pay 2/3 times each load because they were still wet. Recommend to go elsewhere it's cheaper too! read more

I went to Lucy's after seeing a lot of IG ads for it. I was so busy during the holiday season, so I decided to try the "fluff and fold" service to get my work clothes all taken care of instead of using my entire day off on laundry. The employee was very kind and welcoming. I mentioned it was my first visit and she ran through all the info I needed. I requested my clothes be washed in cold water and low temp drying, the request was taken no questions or hesitations. My clothes was ready for pick up within 48 hours. All my work blouses and pants had been hung, and the rest of my more casual clothes was neatly folded and separated by category. I will definitely be going back read more

I didn't have an issue in the pasted but on 2/22/2022. The roof was being fixed for some reason when I put my clothes in the dryer my clothes was left stinking like smoke. Another customer complained and was told he would be fully reimbursed. I texted them and was told I would be issued a 25 dollar reimbursement. I have been coming to Lucy's for quite a while. It was sad when I heard of the fire that happened and super happy when they reopened their doors. Never had a problem with the staff and location is always clean. Completely understand due to the fire they are having to do the fluff and fold in the front. But Extremely frustrating when you have 5-7people waitting to use the dryers and your employees are using more than half of the dryers and some dryers are done drying but your staff is no where to be found, to at least free the dryer. Or even when they do they add more time. While I understand the reason why the dryer need to be used I do think you need a better system to equally give your customers time to dry on busy days and your employees the time they need to dry your drop offs. read more

They take a $.26 charge off your laundry card every time using code "201 customer started machine". When I called and texted their customer support, they did not answer what the charge was for. Figured maybe it's for using their bathroom. Then, checked to see if sign shows there is a charge but there is no mention! read more

This place is clean and big and well-lit. It's also next to a brewery with patio seating (safe beer during covid times) so you can read and drink a beer while you wait for your laundry. Their card machine is toward the back of the shop. Washer load capacity is printed on the floor beneath the units. Price was not bad and they have HUGE washers available. Like, 8 load capacity! They also have hand sanitizer available in multiple spots, which is helpful. I will be coming back here to wash comforters and such. Try it out! read more

I'll give them a star for cleanliness but beware they only want you to use their reloadable card wich you have to purchase $1 for it and when you use it for the machine it seems it charges you some hidden fees because for how much money I loaded and how much they charge seems like the their machine charges more than what it says and plus $1 for the dryer for 24 min when other laundromats are for $.25 read more
