The sushi rolls were great, especially the California salmon roll (not actually a California roll as I know it, much better, came with torched salmon on top). Sure, that's great for the business, but for the customer, that means less attention and a lot of hurrying. Even with a reservation, we were told to be out within 90 minutes. What?! I just got here and you're talking about kicking me out? Not a great way to start... At the table, we literally had 3 minutes to look over the menu before the waiter/host interrupted and told us to go for their set menu (routine of salmon and tuna), which will surely make us "full". Immediately, he storms off to another table... Luckily, an older lady with more sense of customer service comes to serve us after bringing our drinks. The nigiri is nothing special. The fish did not taste fresh or flavorful and there was absolutely no interaction between the rice and the fish. The rolls were surprisingly large. Perhaps due to the overuse of sauces, but again, the fish flavour does not come through. Very very disappointing for a place that seems authentic and masterful in its craft. Final word: I probably should have taken the young host's initial advice and filled ourselves up with the simplest rolls they know how to make. This is definitely not a sushi restaurant, it's a buffet.

What I don't think is appropriate was allowing a dog to sit at a table in a restaurant. I observed a guest with her dog in her lap and tables are super close. Food was served quickly. I ordered pho and it wasn't hot it was warm to touch and broth didn't "cook" or "steam" added veggies. Portion size was decent. Flavor was okay. For the cost it definitely had room for more vegetables to be added. Water isn't free so make sure you bring or know before hand. Prices are reasonable. I saw lots of people ordering other things and they all looked and smelled delicious. Decor was super cute!
