I initially went in here due to the cute name for this store. As an added bonus I was superhappy to…read morefind the long-gone-from-the-US fragrance 'D&G' from Dolce & Gabbana. I bought a bottle for a close friend back in the states as a surprise, and he was stoked. Yes, it does have that semi-department store feeling similar to a Sears but with some more upscale items. I don't speak fluent French (okay, I don't speak it at all) but I was able to get by quite well with the associates who worked there. Or, I think I did... I ended up visiting a couple more coops while staying abroad, but I enjoyed this one due to the vast selections of products (I even did some light grocery shopping here) plus their cafe/takeaway food area as Mindy H. pointed out below. Not sure of what the difference between coop vs. coopcity is, but I'm guessing the coopcities are specifically in largely populated areas, similar to how target has city target in more urban dwellings? Be sure to check out your neighborhood coop while visiting the country of Switzerland. You're bound to find something-
COOP 2000/Supermarche is the best COOP I have been too so far in Switzerland. This place is so…read morelarge it was hard to wrap my mind around at first. It took me awhile to get used to how things are laid out, and would take a bit to find things. There is a larger selection of products here, then at my local COOP store. They have a take away food area for you to pick up some hot items at lunch time, and a small place to sit and eat. If you like COOP you definitely have to check this location out.
Truly the best shopping experience in Geneva. Such helpful people on the floor and gorgeous fit,…read moredesign, and quality. Not necessarily inexpensive but honestly, you can't go wrong here.
Bought a pair of shoes online. Limited edition of Burgundy boots…read more As any leather shoes, you need to try them at least a few hours to see if they fit properly. Tried to return the shoes to the shop and was promptly directed out of the shop by the manager. They did not accept the return due to some marks (that could have been easily cleaned up) on the top of one shoe. Of course, as limited edition they did not have them in the shop prior to ordering them online, which made impossible to have the slightest idea of whether or not they would be too big or too small. Avoid buying online. The customer service is poor when you try to return items. You might as well go to Septieme Largeur, Rue Verdaine. You will pay more, but quality would be better, customer service really tailor made, and you would avoid spending so much to have so few.
The European department stores are amazing with everything you need-clothing, housewares, food!…read more There was lots of ready to eat food as well as groceries. They had a big selection of chocolate at a variety of price points. This was in the middle of the shopping area and near the train so it was crowded. Lines moved fast and staff were helpful. The prices were reasonable. I was able to pick up something to eat and some souvenirs.
I love Manor. I love it like I love pastries and cake which Manor has and then some. Why does this…read morespot get my coveted 5 stars? I can't think of any other department store like this in Geneva or the US that can bring so much happiness to me (perhaps some Asian dept stores can...). P A R K I N G Parking at Manor is crazy. There's multiple levels underground and it's super tight. Be good and have a small car or walk like we do. I N S I D E There are multiple floors of varying goods. First floor is food and groceries. You can get fruits, veggies, pastries, cooked food, wines, cookies, chocolates, charcuterie, cheeses, you think of food, they have it. They have these mini walnut sausages that I've never seen anywhere else. They're expensive, but we treat ourselves to it whenever we're here. Second floor is a mish mash of things but mainly beauty, so lotions, hair dryers, perfumes. Next couple floors are clothing for men and women of course separated one for men one for women. Then there's toys and stationary and luggage. I'm always looking for the next NICI plush and always drawn to their cuteness Then electronics where you also have Manora their cafeteria style food court though we seem to always be underwhelmed with the pastries we get there. O V E R A L L It's an all in one department store with grocery and cafeteria. What more could you ask for? I wish we had a Manor in the US cause I'd be there all the time.
