I've been to this location and the Richmond Ave location and both are consistently good every time! I've gotten a few of their food items but their drinks are really on point. I've tried their pandan latte and black island latte a few times and loved it. I recently tried the Montblanc and loved it as well! I'm not really sure how they make this drink semi-sweet considering the ingredients in the drink but nonetheless it's an amazing drink that I'll be adding to my rotation. Beware: it has activated charcoal in it...just saying. This location and the Richmond Ave location have scarce parking. I'd avoid going during peak caffeine intake hours which can vary for many people lol. read more

I'll keep this short and simple, LCR is the best coffee shop in all of Houston. The iced island latte is my fiancee and I's favorite drink and we crave it constantly. I don't usually buy coffee but I am a regular at LCR because of this drink. The drink consists of two shots of espresso, coconut milk, and pandan flavoring. It is so delicious and the perfect way to start your morning! read more

Absolutely love this location over the one near China town. The service here is much more relaxed and the employees are all so friendly and loved sharing recommendations when I asked. Especially being it was my first time visiting and I wanted to try something different that my usual regular latte. So I went with the island latte and I'm officially hooked it's made with coconut milk and I guess half and half but you can request it without the half and half as I did. It's delicious! I think Luce is one of the best coffee shops here in Houston and I can't stop raving about it to all my friends and family. The quality of their coffee is rich and for sure satisfying. Plus their locations are perfect if you work remote and want to set up shop somewhere new :) read more

Ambiance: This location of Luce Ave does not have the vibe of a typical coffee shop, It feels more like a grab and go kind of place. Coffee: I ordered my usual Cream Americano, it wasn't the same but the barista was kind enough to redo my drink and make it to my liking. Service: Kind, warm and welcoming. They seem to maintain the same service standards of other locations. I learnt two new things about Luce Ave in my visit 1. Every location has a different owner 2. Gift cards bought at one location will NOT work at other location. This will be a place I would get my coffee from if I'm in the location but not a place I would like to go if I want to sit and enjoy my coffee. read more

Another aesthetic coffee spot inside the loop. Going for a more modern and clean look vs the cozy yuppie spot, this Luce is located on the first floor of an apartment building directly on Washington. Parking is available street side and it's not too bad. Coffee is solid and for what it is, fairly priced. Interior is clean and very millennial friendly. read more

This has been my favorite study spot before and after school! Parking is easy to find. I always order the Black Island and it never disappoints. It is more pack around noon, but it dies down after 3PM. The wifi could be clearer sometimes because I've had issues connecting like the wifi can only connect a limited amount of devices. read more

All the drinks I've tried were delicious. The matcha latte, Mont Blanc, and Island Latte (hot or iced) are especially great. When the last 2 aforementioned are served cold, they are also pretty to look at lol. The area is convenient and if you can get street parking on Brashear, it's super easy. The shop is light and airy and a nice place to sit for a little bit. The drinks are a tad pricier than I'm used to and I'd probably minus 0.5 for that, but I'll round up to 5 stars because it's great otherwise! read more

I had a really good experience at Luce Coffee Roasters' new location on Washington. I recently visited for the first time on a late Friday afternoon. The two gentlemen working were really helpful, professional, and kind. The music was at a perfect volume- not loud and I was able to focus. The atmosphere felt spacious, modern, and clean. Good spot to get some work done or meet up with a friend. I ordered an iced chai latte with oat milk (4 stars) and a cookie (3 stars) and smartwater. Parking has the potential to be challenging if you come during peak business hours. There are a few spots to parallel park on the side of the building otherwise you can park around the building in the apartment lot which will have spots for Luce guests. I love coming to this coffee shop when I'm in Houston. Y'all have to try the cream americano. Hot or iced, it's good either way. They have blended drinks, teas, and your classic coffees if you're not about the fluff. They don't make food there other than pastries but looks like they are partnered up with a taco place and have tacos on deck that are warmed up for you. read more

I was so happy to hear that Luce opened up a location close to where I live. I've been to the other 2 locations, and I just absolutely adore this coffee shop. It's hands down one of my top favorite coffee shops to go to. Their drinks with the activated charcoal are a bit pricey, but honestly taste so good and I think it's worth my money. It's also aesthetic. My favorite go-to drinks are: -iced creamericano (half sugar) -iced montblanc -iced black island If you have not been here or to any of the other locations yet, YOU NEED TO. The inside is really nice with a decent amount of seating. I can see this being a great place to study at. It's pretty quiet and not too noisy. Not sure if there was any other parking besides street parking, but when I came here, I parked on the street. read more

I've been waiting for this location to open! Located in the new Moderna Washington apartment complex, I finally have a coffee shop I can swing by bedsides Starbucks that's open early enough! Their current soft opening hours are Monday-Saturday 6 AM-3 PM and Sunday 7 AM-4 PM. They carry the same menu as the other Luce locations-so expect the same coffee menu, cake and bacon pastries, and tacos a go go brekkie tacos. The parking entrance is located on Center Street. You can park anywhere except where it says Moderna leasing office visiting spots. I got a little lost, but walk through the double doors, straight to the back then make a left. My to go to is the island latte, iced (a pandan latte) while my hubby loves their cortado and my sis enjoys their black island drink. Can't go wrong with any of their options! read more

Love love love Luce! I go here weekly and enjoy it every time. It's on the corner of a complex so parking is limited but not an issue walking there. There's several tables to sit at inside and few small tables outside under a cover way. The coffee is fantastic. My go to is the Cream Americano iced but today I tried the new Shakespeare drink. The cream Americano is exactly what it says, Americano with sweet cream on top. I usually get it lightly sweet because I like my coffee strong. The Shakespeare was described to me as 4 shots w/ brown sugar and oat milk served cold with no ice. Definitely will be my summer go to. The staff is so nice, they always explain drinks and pastry options to me. And if you get there early enough there's some breakfast taco options from Tacos a Go Go. Easily one of my favorite coffee spots in Houston. You can check out their roasting place in the Heights. read more

Although Luce has several locations now, this is my go to because it's never over crowded like the garden oaks location and feels much more chill. I'd rec the island latte. Beautiful, modern coffee shop with lots of sharp lines in the design, reminiscent of their logo. There's plenty of free street parking nearby. The staff was super friendly and seemed eager to help. This location has just opened but is part of a small chain of coffee shops. Overall, I enjoyed my time and will go back soon since it is so close to me. My only complaint was I thought my iced vanilla latte was too sweet so maybe I'll see if I can get less pumps next time. Also, with the super modern layout, the seating inside isn't the most comfortable. Otherwise, a fantastic coffee shop! read more

First coffee shop on my visit to Houston and I was not disappointed. They have multiple locations which is great to get your coffee fix! I had their island latte which is their most popular drink - v instagrammable and aesthetically pleasing. Personally I didn't like it because it's rich from the half and half and coconut milk and too sweet for me but I have local friends that love it. I also tried and absolutely loved the black cloud. It was a tad bit too sweet for me still but I love that you can adjust the sweetness level for it so next time I definitely will. I also had the bacon egg and cheese danish which was warmed up perfectly and super buttery and tasty. I also tried the jalapeño cheese sausage croissant which was definitely my favorite. It was perfectly crispy buttery and the sausage was huge and juicy. The worker was super helpful with my million questions when deciding what to order and they were quick to resolve my small situation when my danish was missing an egg. Definitely check out this spot. They also have seating inside and outside with WiFi which makes it a great work / study spot! One negative is that they don't have knives at all which made it difficult to eat my pastries. read more

I've gone to Luce a few times too and I always order the black island because I love the flavor of pandan. The pandan and coconut milk go well together. The last time I visited was with my friends. They ordered the black forest but said it was too sweet and diluted it with a bit of water. They also serve pastries and breakfast tacos so you can dine in and have breakfast. There's limited seating but if you're able to snag a spot it's great for studying or reading a book. read more

Coffee here is really fantastic. I wish I could give a 5 star but the menu is so hard to work with. You cannot add any syrups or flavors unless it's a seasonal flavor? You cannot add any of the LISTED syrups to your drink because it's apparently against policy? Then why do you have the flavors and options listed if I cannot add them to my drink? Super weird and hard to work with if you want any type of flavoring. Would go here more often if the menu actually let you customize your drink. read more

Very beautiful place to be honest not to mention the employees here were really nice and helpful it's hard to find nowadays I would say if you know about coffee finding a spot that truly enhances that flavor of a really good coffee bean and give your the taste of freshness meanwhile the person making the coffee gets just the right temperate making it absolutely amazing once you take that first sip of coffee without having that bitter aftertaste of over steam milk place definitely recommend and will be coming more often . read more

We rode our bikes and stopped for coffee. Bike racks would have been nice, but we parked and locked on the patio without issue. We ordered a cold brew with oat milk and an iced Island Latte. i love their coffee and was excited to check out their new location. i was gonna go for the charcoal drink but wasn't sure how the charcoal would taste so just went with my reg iced almond caramel macchiato. the drink was so good and the portion was perfect. they have the retail parking at the back. the inside was pretty spacious and clean, there weren't many seats though. just a couple of tables around the edges. they have merch as well. i took off one star because i felt like the lady who was taking my order had an attitude when i asked something. maybe be a bit more welcoming?? other than that, everything was perfect. read more

Tasty drinks/pastries and bright, fresh atmosphere. However, I studied here for a couple hours and found the seats and tables to be extremely uncomfortable. So I wouldn't necessarily recommend for long-time study or work days, but for dropping by for a quick coffee this is a good shop in a good location! Also as far as I can tell there isn't a parking lot but there was plenty of street parking on the road parallel to it. read more
