Excellent Cafe-in the taste,assortment,and prices of the cakes,baked goods and coffee etc.! - 1.All the cheeses except for the soft ripened cheeses with white mould-are sold cut and wrapped in very dangerous soft plastic.This soft plastic leaches out extremely dangerous chemicals such as pthalates,plasticizers,and softeners etc.into the cheese upon contact.There is waxed cheeses paper available if you want to take off the plastic and wrap it again but the chemical transference has already happened. The excuse that if they have people cutting the cheese that the lineup will be too long is illogical -simply have more people working there as is the case in many other organic stores in Berlin! Never buy or wrap your cheese in plastic! 2.In the meat section,many of the German " Wurst" contain Nitrit even if they are Bio!This is unfortunately allowed under EU regulations yet many customers do not know this.Nitrit has been without any doubt whatsoever to be shown to cause stomach cancer and is COMPLETELY unecessary and is only added for color! Proper refridgeration is all that is necessary to avoid botulism as shown by the many BIO companies making Wurst without any nitrit! Orthodox Jews have been eating ( non-pork) Wurst and sausages for over 1500 years that are not allowed to contain nitrit and suffer no botulism. ALL WURST AND SAUSAGES THAT CONTAIN NITRIT SHOULD BE CLEARLY MARKED AS CONTAINING NITRIT AS MUST BE LEGALLY THE CASE WITH ALL PACKED WURST AND SAUSAGES! It is simply not enough to hand the consumer a very thick folder and tell them to look up the product and the ingredients themselves! -As is the case with all organic food stores worldwide, is the criminal scandal that ALL organic foods are allowed to be packed in cans that contain the dangerous ingredient BPA which then leaches into the food even though cans can easily be made without BPA! So except for the cheese wrapped in plastic,the wurst containing nitrit,and the organic foods in cans containing BPA which is the case with all organic food stores (BIO LADEN) that sell canned organic food -Lpg makes for truly a fantastic shopping trip and is highly recommended! Auch ich bin nach zahlreichen Lebensmittelskandalen unterschiedlichster Art dazu übergegangen, soweit mir dies möglich ist, meine Lebensmittel im Biomarkt zu kaufen. LPG-Biomärkte sind eine gute Kette die verschiedene Filialen in der Stadt bieten. Die Auswahl ist super und einen besonderen Bonus hat, wer Mitglied wird. Eine solche Mitgliedschaft kostet für eine Einzelperson 17 Euro und kann jeden Monat wieder gekündigt werden. Vorteil dieser Mitgliedschaft ist, dass man dann bei vielen Artikeln einen deutlich reduzierten Mitgliedspreis bezahlt und so Biolebensmittel sogar teilweise günstiger bekommt, als nicht Biologisches im normalen Supermarkt. Wer gerne Bio einkauft, für den lohnt sich die Mitgliedschaft bei LPG. Alle andern kaufen dort dennoch zu fairen Preisen in einem gut sortierten Biomarkt ein. read more

Ein sehr großer Markt mit Riesenauswahl, der dennoch ein Herz hat. Viele, sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter, eine sehr hohe Qualität der Lebensmittel! Im 1. OG mit großer Kosmetikabteilung.
