I don't frequent antique stores, but I did look up one of the items I purchased on eBay out of curiosity and found that I paid about $30 less here--and without any shipping charges. I used to go to Farmers Mercantile with my Grandpa when I was just a little kid. There were always men sitting outside visiting. I side, there were old farm implements hanging up high, bulk grains in bins with scoops so you could scoop just what you needed, an "old timey" scale to weigh them. It had rustic wood floors, old wood shelves displaying cookware, hardware, and stuff you needed when you needed it. I remember the smell, one I've never forgotten even decades later, it reminded me of fresh hay. I seem to remember chasing a chicken, or maybe it was a cat....i was pretty little. That was then, so very long ago! And now, even with the newer modern(ish) touches (metal shelves, newer cookware, etc) it's still that Farmers Mercantile I remember so well. It still sells "the stuff you need when you need it" but the memories are free. I hope it never changes. Priceless!

Some curated booths, but most are just a random collection of things. Lots of used clothes and shoes. There's a lot of stuff here, so you could definitely find a treasure, but I personally didn't find much worth buying. However, I would still consider it a must stop because of the size and variety - you never know what you might find. I think I spent about 30 minutes here. I could be wrong but I don't think this was the original business model the founder intended, I understand the majority of the items here are sourced from over-stock suppliers and meant to provide huge discounts but the "good stuff cheap" company statement couldn't be further from the truth at this particular location - I'd definitely avoid buying food stuff here no matter how cheap things are there is no way the inventory is rotated or managed in my opinion nothing is managed here, how this store remains open is a mystery to me this was definitely not a good experience, the photos posted by the business owner had to be taken when the store was originally set up before the grand opening and doesn't remotely represent what I witnessed today...

I went to a gift shop that was hugely overpriced and purchased a scented burning wax block. I later got a better scent for half of the price at Kmart. I can't believe this place will be open for long. In my opinion, the only store that is really worth it is the one that has been there from the beginning: Vanity Fair.
