This Lowe's is located at Alamo Ranch. Yes, I know, the traffic is horrible, but this Lowe's is located at the end of the strip with easy access. Lowes is my go to for any home improvement projects and just recently they added Petco inside the store. The Petco section is small, but has the essentials one would need. Their garden center is pretty big. You can really find anything your looking for. I love that I can use the app to locate what I'm looking for. I can also use the app to buy online and curbside pickup. Dogs are allowed inside the store. Lowes offers a military discount. Parking is on site. read more

New small business here. Made a purchase of almost $2700 (the first of many for our business). This was on top of purchasing almost $9k in new floors for our property through Lowe's. A freestanding tub that was purchased was delivered damaged and unfortunately wasn't noted until all the foam wrapping had been opened. Lowe's refused to reimburse more than 10% of the damage (which would barely cover the $79 delivery fee for the damaged tub). This just added insult to injury with the 4 different times Lowe's canceled and rescheduled our floor delivery (of course only doing so at the end of the day). This meant I had to take off work 4 days at a loss of salary of over $1.2k. Lowe's could have made it right by granting us the requested 20% reimbursement (10% for delivery and 10% for damage). Now I will be demanding a pickup of the damaged item, and force them to put the item on markdown of likely 30-50%. ‍ I will only use them in the future if Home Depot or other home improvement stores aren't an option. We always find what we're looking for at this Lowe's. We've also been fortunate enough to get excellent customer service every time we go. The staff is super helpful and very knowledgeable about their products. We always go in with some sort of project in mind and they know exactly how to help us accomplish it. Most of the prices have also been cheaper than over at Home Depot, we always price between the two and pick the best price point. The only complaint I have about this location is that the lines are always really long. The shortest amount of time we've waited was 25 minutes. read more

I really hate leaving unpleasant reviews but I'll cut to the point. I don't want anybody else to have to experience what I experienced. Best advice out of this story is; go to 151 and 410, never had an issue at that location and will be going to only that location in the future. I went into lowes Saturday night 6/4 to try and do an online order at the customer service area and was trying to explain to the woman at the counter what it was I was trying to do. I didn't get maybe a sentence out before she immediately shook her head and looked at me as if I was crazy. She said that "we do not do that" and then tried to look up my order number and I told her I didn't have an order # I was trying to place one. She didn't give me a chance to explain and was immediately writing me off that I had no idea what I was talking about which was very disappointing. I drove in store to place the order because I had several forms of payment. Cash, gift card and store credit. Store merchandise credit cannot be used online. So I left feeling very sad and disappointed because I have never had that experience with lowes before. I went home and was able to make my purchase but was not able to use my merchandise credit which was unfortunate because it was a good amount. I didn't realize until I got home I could have done the order. I know gas lighting is a stretch of a word to use but I really was questioning my own thoughts after that interaction with her. When I got home I realized I had done an order with my mother at the lowes on 151 and 410 not even a week or 2 before! So unless it was a store by store policy or she was new which I didn't get the vibe she was but can only pressure, she was wrong. I tried to call Sunday to talk to a manager got hung up on right away. Called a second time was on hold for 20 minutes (see picture) then hung up and called back and spoke with the woman who was the same one who had me on hold. She told me one manager was at lunch and another was not sure where so I said I'd call back in an hour but I got busy and was unable to call them until today. 6/6. I was able to speak with somebody finally and explain the situation to them... the only thing though is... when I called it sounded exactly like the same woman who put me on hold Sunday 6/5 to speak with a manager who said she was a manager today 6/6 and Almost like the woman from the first experience...I did not get her name as I told her I was not trying to single anybody specifically out. Just if she could please tell her team as a whole to let the customer finish explaining what it is they are trying to accomplish and not jump to conclusions that they don't know what they are talking about and leave them feeling confused, frustrated and disappointed. read more

Not going in detail on the customer service I have received there in the last two years, let's just mention a delivery of sand I ordered. Ordered May 15. Delivery scheduled for May 17. Item listed as in stock. Delivery Postponed to May 21. Delivery Postponed to June 5. Delivery postponed to June 14, Now currently, delivery Postponed to June 21. Im sure it won't come then either. Blaming storms the first time. Claim they always say sand is in stock but have to get it from a vendor. Staff is zero help. I used to like Lowes being a Vet, now, I will no longer be shopping there and will inform all my friends and family the same. We were sent to the Lowe's at Alamo ranch to get a mirror cut. We arrive and go to milworks and press the button for assistance at 7:20pm. Two employees arrive at the desk at 7:55pm and proceed to tell us that they do not cut mirror glass. I explained that we were sent from another store to get a 12x16 mirror. We are then walked to the person who cuts glass are told yes they cut mirrored glass. When asked where we could find the glass we were told, "at the factory." We were repeatedly lied to then given unsatisfactory customer service. I have been a Lowe's customer because they have always treated veterans special. Sadly today was not one of those days. I will NEVER purchase an appliance from Lowe's again. I purchased a refrigerator the day after Thanksgiving, a Friday. I was told it would be delivered Saturday, next day. I was happily impressed. I was told to wait a couple of hours and that I would be called with an approximate time. I waited for three hours and decided to call them. I was told it wouldn't be delivered until Sunday and that I would be called approximately an hour before their arrival and during the window I was given. There was no phone call, they just arrived. Fine. While the delivery men were there I asked them to change the direction of the door opening. I was told by the sales person that would be no problem. Because those instructions were NOT on the delivery instructions the delivery men would not do it. They shared that they had an additional 16 deliveries to make and were given 15 minutes to complete my delivery. 24 hours later I discover my ice maker doesn't work. My nightmare begins here. I called Lowe's and discovered they outsource their delivery people. I am told someone will come by and fix the handles and fix the ice maker. No one comes so I call again. Two more days go by, someone finally comes and I AM NOT EXAGGERATING, in 5 minutes they tell me I am missing hardware for the door movement and that I need a new ice maker! I now go to Lowe's, speak to a manager and he sets up a new delivery. Guess what? They never arrive on set day. I call again and am now told they will pick up the fridge and give me a new one. Yes, you guessed correctly, no one comes. I call again. They ask me what is the problem. I'm done. I ask them to come pick up their fridge and refund my money. They are to arrive in two days to pick up their fridge. Think it will happen? Ugh! DO NOT BUY YOUR APPLIANCES FROM LOWE'S!!!! read more

The Alamo Lowes location is the ultimate best. Two employees,Oscar and Thomas should be recognized for them going above and beyond on customer service. I came in very upset because a plumber tried to put a fast one over on my husband, who is very hard of hearing and had dementia. We are senior citizens and retired so we are on a fixed income. Both Oscar and Thomas calmed me down and worked with me to get what I needed and saved me almost $400. I called the plumber and canceled any order they had. I told them I would pay the $89 for coming out. They indicated it may be more. I told them that they did nothing but came out and gave an estimate. I am so glad we have Lowes so close and even with employee shortage, they provided me with compassion and service. read more

Lowe's knows nothing about customer service. They sent undocumented workers into my home to deliver a dryer and install it. They spoke no English. The first thing they did was break a corner off my wall because they were too dumb to remove the old machine first. They then connected the dryer. They left without plugging the dryer in. They also left the gas line leaking and the water line for the steam function leaking. I had to redo the entire installation. When I called and complained they took months to get back with me. They offered me $119.00 to repair the wall. The wall is plaster. The least expensive bid I got was for $790.00. I even showed them the estimate. Told me the $119.00 is all they will pay and take it or leave it. I left it. I'm now writing these wonderful reviews about them. Don't be foolish. I won't buy a stew from them again. read more

Lowe's is slowly taking over as my favorite home hardware store. Or maybe just in my area. First this Lowe's does something I have rarely seen....up front parking for veterans!! Wow. Gold star for you Lowe's. They also offer a 10% military discount. Now shopping here I found everything that I was looking for. New grill racks to grill on and some tools. Wasn't sure about the racks and the worker walked me to them and found some adjustable racks. Then another worker help me find my tools. Well one of my racks where broken and I had to return it. That didn't have anymore and customer service refunded me my cash. Now I know this seems pretty normal. But the customer service and assistance from everyone working there was spot on. I went to Lowe's Alamo Ranch for a few items I needed for some home projects. I needed some boards and them cut for my project so I went to the lumber area. The lumber area was a ghost town, no associates in sight. I could not find anyone to help me. I went to the front of the store and asked an associate for help in lumber, and I was told no one was available to help. Additionally I was told the store saw was down so they would not be able to cut any lumber for me. I never understood this, but how can Lowe's not have an operational saw???? Lowe's sells saws but can't keep there saw operational? After asking 2 different associates up front for help in the lumber department and waiting for 15 mins finally a very rude associate showed up. The problem is this associate really did not want to help me and that was obvious. His customer service was non existent. No greeting, no smile, barely event talking to me and a major attitude. With lots of pushing on my part he eventually helped me to get my lumber. While checking out there was only one associate checking customers out while 3 other associates hungout in the corner of the associate checker area chatting and laughing. There were multiple people in line and the 3 associates did not help the checker at all. Lowe's you have to do better than this. I was very disappointed at what I saw and experienced. The only difference between this place and its orange cousin is the selection. If you like the brands this store has, you'll be happy but if they do not have the brands you seek, you'll be disappointed. That said, the staff is almost always helpful and the selection is good. Other than their lack of Coke products and the occasional employee who is in a bad mood, I don't have any major complaints about this place and you will find most anything you need to complete that home (or commercial) including advice. There is no anti-gun signage at this store so shoppers can feel safe. read more

I purchased an 8'x12' shed through this store and it was sub contracted out to Backyard Products in early November 2023. it took several trips by the contract carpenter to complete the build. He finally finished around Thanksgiving. He installed the upgraded metal drip edge wrong and finally corrected it when I pointed it out. he also installed the edge underneath the felt paper instead of over it. after numerous calls to Lowe's and Backyard Products, this issue was finally corrected in May 2024 (I even sent photos and scanned copies of their inst manual as proo). Lowe's customer support called to offer me "compensation for the inconvenience and delay." I asked for an amount to which they balked at. They did agree and sent me an NDA and stated that I would have to destroy all photos and not post any negative comments on social media. I refused to allow this to happen and wanted other customers to know. We did agree to $240 so I could maintain my rights to post a review of both businesses. How insulting both parties were to me was unacceptable. Should you want a shed, I would recommend going to any other shed builder. The manufacturer of the shed, Heartland, also refused to engage with me as well. read more

I do not recommend buying appliances from this location, or having their employees install. We were told someone would be at our home to install from 8-10 am. After making adjustments to our schedules, so we could be home for this. We received a call at 7 am saying they need to know if we have all the supplies and if they did not hear back they would move on to the next customer. If their employees had checked their notes in the system then they would have known we had everything. The installer claimed to have been at our home at 8 am, but no one came and we have a security system to prove that. Today, Steven came and was pretty rude. He did not say a word to us, even after telling him thank you. We are extremely disappointed with the disorganization of this store, especially after paying an extra $120 for installation. read more

I love this place, especially the interactive website once you log on to their WiFi. I guess that makes up for the fact that employees are pretty scarce. Can't find something? Go to the Lowes website, type in your item in the search bar, and up pops the aisle you can find it in. Genius! They offer a 10% military discount on most purchases (I believe large appliances can't use it). The store is always well organized and I can find what I'm looking for. I love to wander the garden center, plenty of plants to choose from and lots of lawn decor. We recently picked up some trim for our garden bed and trees. It looks great and the product wasn't flimsy.
