Well for starters, this is the only large hardware store in the city, so it's the only option for a lot of things. It's just like literally any other Lowe's I have ever walked into, so there really isn't too much for me to talk about. Especially in terms of value - I think it's priced like any other location, so it's not like you'll be saving a ton of money by shopping here versus anywhere else. Any time I've been here, they had what I was looking (or not looking) for, and with relative ease to find. I would recommend downloading the app ahead of time and making your shopping list if you need several things that way you already know where those items are located in the store and you can pretty much go straight to those areas without a ton of unnecessary wandering. There is always parking, and the store is organized just like any other location. Nothing special about it. The service is fine - I haven't asked for help while navigating the store, but the people at the self checkout/regular checkout have always been nice. read more

HORRIBLE company with HORRIBLE employees. If you aren't one of their preferred people, you will not get help in person, on the phone or even talking to the corporate office. They know the Meridian store has been a disaster for years and have done nothing about their horrible employees who are lead no doubt by a manager that is above being held accountable and they reflect that attitude, especially if you aren't their preferred skin tone. And Lowe's is too cowardly to hold them accountable and rather lose customers than deal with this problem store. Now for my story; I was warned to avoid this store at all cost, knew that but did it anyway because I needed to replace my carpet with new flooring and this seemed to be a straight-forward solution only needing 1 to 2 days to complete and Lowe's proceeded to screw that up at every possible turn. What was supposed to be finished mid-October was not completed until the first week of December. We had a delay due to an unseen floor issue and had to switch from one type of flooring to another so that meant refunding the rest of what wasn't able to be used then rebilling for the materials I needed. Fine. Then for whatever reason, they couldn't seem to get their act together long enough to finish the rebill and took almost 3 more weeks just to rebill and it was an overcharge, 3 LOWE'S EMPLOYEES confirmed that and I never got the refund. I was told to call repeatedly to get with either Bernice or the other other guy(forgot name) as they were the only ones that could do the refund/rebill and they started on it. And that's all. Never heard from either one of them again and calling there?? That's another bad joke as no matter what time you are supposed to call, the lazy customer service people will tell you "oh they left for the day already" and this was 20 minutes AFTER Bernice said she would be there and to call her or she would call me and of course, she didn't. But I called 4 days in a row and each time the same girl said "oh she just left" until I told her that was the same lie she said everyday. Now trying to call the manager... forget it. That DEI hire is hiding in the office letting the store go to hell without regard for the customer or the money we are losing dealing with these incompetent people. So I finally found the 'super special, we can fix all your problems' customer help line which turned out to be another lie as the woman acted VERY sympathetic and told me this would be fixed right away with promptness and they will take care of it. More bullshit. Of course, she wasn't go to do it that day(Tuesday) and she will call me on Friday with an update on my refund and all will be straightened out then. Bullshit. I get a call on Friday telling me she was out on 'personal matters' and I should hear from her next Tuesday and it will be handled then. It wasn't. When I called her on Tuesday it was almost like she never talked to me even though I had her name and direct phone number and she would get right on it. Just like the previous time. After another wasted week, she calls (Jennifer) and says "Ok we have you scheduled for delivery on this date"... did NOT address a single thing I called for and 2 weeks just to schedule a damn delivery that should only take 5 minutes. Complete incompetence at every level. I went thru the whole damn scenario with her again and she said "oh we will do a self audit at the end of the installation and if there is any money difference, we will refund it to you" Uh huh... you mean like you were supposed to have done weeks ago and you think I will trust your word? Now I am completely pissed, told her get the flooring here, let's get it installed then we will talk about this absolute nightmare Lowe's and their lazy employees have caused. It finally got installed, Jennifer calls back like they just won the Superbowl celebrating they finally got the 2 day job finished in 2 months and I stopped her and told her that I never want to hear from her or Lowe's ever again as they are absolute liars and allow employees to abuse customers. I also said at this point, my health is worth more than having to deal with the refund issue you can't seem to wrap you head around and somehow keep forgetting that's part of the problem that Lowes created and never solved. My blood pressure has been in the high category ever since they starting playing games with me and I told her keep my damn money as I did not want a stroke over dealing with their 3rd world mentality. Also warned that if I ever hear from anyone at Lowes again after this phone call, I will see them in court for harassment. Might not be able to do exactly that but I will do anything I legally could to stop their foolishness. I didn't put every detail in here or this would be a novel but that's how bad the service at Lowes in Meridian MS is and the corporate office knows this and yet do nothing about it. Do not buy from this Lowes, or any Lowes!! No customer service.....Have tried to contact manager about repair service not showing up after five canceled appointments. They sell you a extended warranty, which is supplied by Sears. After four months of no return calls from the manager to get help on a warranty that was paid to Lowes and not being provided. This is the worst Lowe's I have ever encountered, and it is not military-friendly. For those in the Army, Navy, Marines, and Air Force, as well as newcomers to the area, I advise against wasting your time here. Has anyone else had issues getting appliances delivered. They put orders in wrong names. Inept people answer the phone. Promise delivery. Even state items on truck and it's bring delivered. Manager "Dave " never answers his phone. 25% of time operator doesn't answer. Good luck getting the appliance division to answer phone. Today they can't make up a reason why items not delivered. Let's be honest, with a few exceptions Meridian businesses are not known for their customer service. Before the pandemic, we used some Alabama doctors, and we could tell the difference when we stopped at an Alabama restaurant. The difference in the courtsey in Alabama vs Meridian was obvious. I've only seen the same level of courtsey at one restuarant in Meridian. They must demand their employees have the right attitude. That being said, there are a few exceptions. I got very good service in Lowe's appliance department today, but not in their other departments. Two different people told me the wrong location for the plumbing items I was trying to find. I pushed the button at the end of the aisle in the plumbing section, and I waited and waited and waited. No one came, so I pushed the button again and again and waited and waited some more. Finally, a very sour looking man showed up. He had "customer service" written on his vest, which had to be put there ironically because he did not have the deposition of someone who would give good customer service. When I got to the cash register, I was next in line and the person in front of me was about to be finished when the woman at the next register told me she could take me, but when I moved there was already another person in front of me just about to get started. I have not idea why she made me move and loose my place in line. Thankfully, the young man in line ahead of me was kind enough to let me go ahead; otherwise, I would have had to wait longer. They need competition! We need a Home Depot. but let's get real, Meridian would probably ruin the reputation of one of the best stores for customer service (Home Depot) by hiring Meridian people who just don't want to work, who check their phones and text while a customer is standing in front of them, or who want to take their friends or relatives ahead of everyone else and hold up the lines with loud nonsense chit chat. read more

I saw her input it wrong and tried telling her its the wrong number. She told me "We're backed up back here so if you want your discount you'll have to do so at the customer service counter". If you are looking for a store with friendly staff, the Lowes in Meridian, MS is not it. This is the closest Lowes from where I live so not much choice. The cashiers never thank you for shopping there, or wish you a good afternoon or evening, or even thank you for your service if you tell them you are a veteran (for the discount). Then they just stretch out the arm to give you the receipt and not say anything or even look at you, that's just plain rude. Other Lowes the employees help you no questions asked, they drop what they're doing to help you find what you need. Here, they just look at you like why are you bothering me, can't you see we are talking? Management is no better so don't bother complaining to them. Service is horrible! I had to ask for someone to vome help me three times, now I am waiting on a manager. No one in the store seems to know if there is even a manager here. The staff member at the service desk (10/12 @ 18:24) requested a staff member to come to the wrong isle, and when I told her it was the wrong isle, she said "they'll find you." Extremely poor service. Now its 18:25 and was told a manager will come...we'll see. So the manager showed @ 18:29. He blamed "call ins" and "short staff." He said "they might not have know it" in refrence to the rest of his staff. This is unacceptable when you tell someone "this is my third request and no one has shown up." The Lowe's here in Meridian has only one company to lay flooring for them. When the company came to lay it, I knew they were in a hurry because they told me they were. That was why he brought 4 people. However, when they were ready to leave, I noticed the stairs looked bad to me. When I asked their supervisor, he (I found out later) lied to me and told me that was the only way to work the stairs. I knew no better (74 year old Great Gramma, alone). Then my daughter who is a decorator herself came and saw it and when I told her what they told me she was quick to tell me they had lied. We looked online at other places where flooring was laid for others and she was very right. Also I found they did not put the end piece on the stairs. Nothing there. They left wide spaces around my fireplace and loose pieces of quarter round. (I will deal with them later on yelp). I took pictures, went to Lowe's and they offered to "fix it". The man who was to fix it was the supervisor on the 1st job. He called me 3 times, promising to come and three times he didn't show up. Got in touch with Lowe's again, but they were no help. When they finally got back in touch with me, they told me the only one they could send to "Fix it", was the company who had done the poor job in the first place. I said NO. I still have the bad looking job. There are still spaces between the quarter round and some are not even there. It looks awful. Just awful. NOW I need to get my kitchen done, appliances, counter tops, etc. I absolutely will NOT use Lowe's. They hire these folks, but fail to stand behind their work. I will have to go to a more expensive business to get it done, but it will be worth the extra money to be assured it is done right. I will NEVER shop with Lowe's Meridian, MS again. I will not allow any workman here to shop there. EVER. I gave these people a year to get it done and I have not seen or heard from them since May or June, 2019. We purchased & paid to have dishwasher installed. The person(s) they use to install their appliances did not act professional & didn't install it correctly. 1st thing they did was put their dirty tool on my counter tops ! They should have placed on the floor on a cloth of some sort, not the counter. Then an extra hose we paid extra for they didn't have so they had to leave to go purchase one,, that took over 30 minutes. They rushed through the process because by then they were running late & was rushing . I had an appointment I had to rush to after they left so I didn't even have time to look at the appliance right away. When I did , I could tell the controls were halfway under the counter & there was a gap on one side ? I looked up the dishwasher I purchased & how it was to be installed ( searched the Internet ) & discovered the controls were to be hidden under the counter not showing. I worked on the dishwasher myself & was able to get it installed correctly. I complained to Lowes & they asked me if I wanted them to send contractor back out to correct it !! I told them I did not want them to ever come back ! I corrected what they installed incorrectly & I won't have Lowes install anything for me again. read more
