DO NOT BUY FROM THIS STORE! I purchased a Whirlpool washing machine from this store. I started having problems with it so I called the store for help. Nobody answered the phone. I called over a dozen times over the course of an hour. No answer. The phone just rings and then eventually disconnects. I finally got someone at the customer service desk who took my name, number, and told me she would have an appliance associate call me. No call after an hour, so I called the customer service desk again. Same woman snapped at me that she had already transferred my call to appliances twice. I told her I had only spoken with her once prior to that call, and she said she must have been thinking of another customer. She then confirmed that she gave my name and number to an appliance associate an hour ago. I told her I still hadn't been called, and she acted confused. Two days later I had still not received any call back, so I called and asked for the store manager. I was told he was off work that day, and asked if I would like to speak with the appliances department manager. I said I would, then they said they didn't know where she was but they would take my name and number and she would call me. Over 24 hours later she still hasn't called. I called Lowes corporate customer service number. They were essentially worthless. They claimed not to know the name or phone number for the district or regional manager, then transferred me back to the Hot Springs, Arkansas store. I let the phone ring for 10 solid minutes before finally hanging up. From the comments I have read, I am not the only person who has had this problem with the Lowes in Hot Springs. They take your money ($580 in my case) and then stonewall you if you have a question or problem. If you need home improvement supplies, and especially if you need to make a major purchase, like an appliance, go somewhere else. I have no idea why I keep going back to this store especially the lumber area. I needed pegboard and clearly the man was irritated that I was even on his isle or even near him; I wasn't going to ask for help because I didn't need help. He didn't make eye contact, he didn't offer to move the cart he was working from, he just continued to work and not acknowledge I was trying to get pegboard with my cart in the outer isle so that it wouldn't be in his way...I just needed 2 sheets of pegboard. I ultimately apologized for interrupting his work, slid the pegboard back in (pegboard was halfway out but his cart was in the way) and I left the store. There has been several incidents but different times. Is it a woman thing? Do they not like helping women in that area? Is it an inconvenience for us to ask a question? I see them breaking their necks helping men. I was employed by Lowe's in another state for a few years and I loved being there and I loved cashiering in lumber and those associates made sure customer service was their #1 priority! This Lowe's Lumber department gets a -10 on service. I have spoken to many others consumers who feel the same way about that department. read more

Purchased a new build closing on August 30. I came into the store on Thursday the 29th and was greeted by a very nice young lady who was completely overwhelmed with three different customers all at the same time. I knew exactly what model and manufacturer I wanted and she checked stock, and assured me that both the washer and dryer we're in stock ***at that location. Then she offered delivery Sunday the 1st, which surprised me but I gladly accepted! My phone started lighting up with the text messages confirming my purchase and my delivery date. I was so busy unpacking and didn't notice they had not called to reconfirm as promised. I reached out to the store on Sunday 7 different times but couldn't get anyone to answer the phone. I happened to read down the list of long complaints, most of them concerning this exact problem and was horrified. So I drove all the way into town (35 mile round-trip). The woman I spoke with at customer service was very nice and very understanding and said that it must've fallen through the cracks but that they would deliver it on Thursday. I was still OK with that. We went the same route with the texts and the missed confirmation phone call - but when I remembered Wednesday afternoon they hadn't called, I began trying to call. THIRTY-SEVEN TIMES I CALLED. The phone was answered twice out of 37 calls. 35 calls we're just terminated after 8 rings. The two that were answered were immediately put on hold without anybody saying anything. I was left on hold for 8 minutes on 1 call, and 12 minutes on another before they picked the phone up and hung up. I should've just canceled the purchase at that point but I'm new in town, I don't have a way to transport them, and my merchandise is paid for - please provide the services that you were contracted for as promised. It shouldn't be this hard! But instead I chatted with the same nice lady who swore up and down that it must've fallen through the cracks again and that "if she had to deliver it herself" this Sunday it was gonna get done. I did get a confirmation call yesterday which made me very hopeful. And then I got four more texts reconfirming that they were going to be here between 9:30 AM and 1:30 PM and then nothing until about noon. I finally called the logistics number back that had left a message and spoke with a female dispatcher who gave me three different stories about why they were late. I explained to her that I was missing a dear friend's funeral awaiting the 3rd attempt at this delivery and that if they honored their most recent timeline I could still make the wake, and asked if she could please reach out and encourage the drivers to prioritize the stock. She called me back 5 minutes later and told me that they would be there no later than 2 PM. So I explained to her that if they weren't here by 2 PM I was probably going to end up canceling the order and I said that mainly because I was upset but ***I definitely did NOT cancel the order. *** 2 o'clock came and went...as did 3 o'clock, then 4 o'clock. I received a text at 4:08 PM from their dispatcher stating they had just finished their last delivery and were headed my way and should be here within 30 minutes. At 5:33 pm, I called the dispatcher again.This time a young gentleman at dispatch took my call and told me that the reason they have not arrived yet was because I canceled the order At no point whatsoever did I cancel the order! For God sakes I missed my girlfriends funeral to try and accommodate these fools and this is how they respond? By gaslighting me? I finally told the guy that he needed to get on the horn to his driver and turn them around and have them deliver and install tonight as promised I would not only be cancelling the order, but I would do it through corporate headquarters and have a nice long chat about just what a horrific experience the whole thing was. He promised that they would be here within 30 minutes, so I sort of laughed and said "all right I expect them in 45"... and he hung up on me. One hour and eight minutes later a large moving van, clearly marked with Lowe's logo attempted three times to back up my steep driveway, this is a brand new construction and the guy backed over the corner of my driveway and culvert three times as I stood there screaming at him to stop. He's lucky the truck didn't get stuck. They finally brought the items in and got them installed. But only after dumping about a gallon and a half of water all over my brand new floors, mopping it up with one of my good bath towels without asking and then leaving the baseboards sopping wet with water standing on them... but that's OK because they shove the dryer back against it and I wouldn't have found it until it was too late have I not pulled everything out as soon as they left and dried it off completely. A circus. There is no one in charge, and nobody picks up the phone. Paid for an expedited delivery and tried to add an item. Lowes told me to contact the third party carrier. Did so -third party carrier told me to call Lowe's! Dialed Lowe's 8 times - nobody picks up the phone! Delivery comes without my added item. Drivers says he's not the third party but a sub-sub contractor. I still haven't resolved this despite paying $150 for expedited delivery. I finally gave up and now my husband is calling. The only thing that is consistent at this Lowe's is disappointment. Customer service is usually rude if you can find anyone to help you. Big gripe I have is finding items on the shelf that have been crushed or damaged somehow but are stocked at the front of the shelf at full price?! Have used them for years. Find the employees overall to be helpful but very busy. Best product selections in my area, Hot Springs Ar. Prices are comparable to other hardware and lumber stores. They will help you load if needed. They treat Veterans good. I like doing business with them. Only complaint I have is they do not answer the phone. read more

Unfortunately the nearest Home Depot is in Benton, AR and 43 miles away! Lowe's employees are rude and uncaring. Most are clueless regarding their products or where there located in the own store! Online orders take an absolutely unacceptable time to deliver. No one ever answers the phone. Believe me, I've tried numerous times speak to a representative though their automated system. Lowe's...you're slacking right now! Not sure who's end it was on each time but, y'all need to work on you're communication, reading, amd/or following instruction. We purchased a grill on Thursday. Had delivery set for Friday for an assembled grill between 8am and 8pm. They came early, which was great but they didn't assemble the grill (we were told that nothing gets delivered unassembled prior to purchasing). Ok, not a big deal, we were going to assemble it but called to let them know and they said they would send out an assembled grill on Sunday any time from 8am to 8pm. They showed up close to 5:30pm. Only thing is that they didn't have a grill to drop off; only picking one up.... the delivery drivers didn't know anything about it. They called their boss while they were here to talk to me since they didn't seem to speak English and he acted like he didn't know anything either... Someone from the delivery team called my husband and he explained everything and she said that there should have been one assembled at the store but she couldn't say for sure since she wasn't at the store. So we're still waiting on a grill... My husband is now going up to the store to take the grill back that we have to hopefully swap it out for the one we should've had delivered. Crossing our fingers that it's actually there and ready to go. This has been pretty frustrating! Not to mention, making sure one of us was home all day again for when they came. He just went up there to swap it out and they hadn't even started putting it together! Told him that it would be another week for someone to assemble it so he asked to talk to someone that could give him the ok to take the display after all this trouble and the mistakes. So they did thankfully; if not we were just going to get a refund and go get one somewhere else. There needs to be better communication and/or instructions on delivering/pick up. Some people will say, well why didn't you just put it together yourself. We probably could have but if you have someone there that knows more about assembly and when you're told that nothing is delivered unassembled then that's what you expect. I asked someone in plumbing about how to connect another hose to a shower head he told me you can't do that. I went ahead and got the shower head kit and an addition hose. I went to another associate and asked what are the dimensions of the hose I'm holding so I can get the right connectors ( I'm not a plumber). He said it can't be done and to ask the guy in plumbing and walked off as he continued to walk off he said to go online and order a longer one. Executed $40K contract installation of cabinets, countertop, Island, and new appliances Jan 8, 2023. Now it is June 24, 2023, and I have plywood countertops I built, coffee pot on bathroom sink, washing dishes in bathtub, and microwave on makeshift table. DO NOT do what I did - trust Lowe's with your retirement savings! I have struggled to get these items secured and installed and have done all their work for them. Appliances are in boxes gathering dust warranties going away after almost 6 months, Island and cabinets partially installed by substandard installer they fired after trying 9 days screwing up some cabinets and my walls. Purchased 19 windows for our home in July 2018. Windows were improperly stacked on top of each other for 3 weeks at temps. between 94-102 degrees. Installers had some problems with windows when they put them in. Two weeks later started having problems with windows. I immediately called installation dept. and talked to supervisor. She stated that since they were improperly stacked on top of each other in that much heat for 3 weeks-"They may eventually have to be replaced." "you will probably know in 2-3 years." They had to replace 3 of them after only 3 weeks. That was when Lowes answered their phones. Water leaks in some of the windows, some will not stay up unless locked, others fall out of the track when you try to clean them. Some very hard to push up and others very loose. But NO ONE responds to my call for repair. Have had original installer out twice with problems. Having same problems again now-for over 9 1/2 weeks. Cannot get ANYONE from Lowes to help. No one answers the phone and for those who do and pass on the messages, no one calls me back. This has been going on for close to ten weeks (will be ten weeks Sept. 7) Went in to see Dillan, an Asst. Mgr on Friday August 28th, 2020. Explained problem (s) to him. "I have been off for a couple of days. Sorry about the problems. I will call you as soon as I can." He did. That very afternoon, telling me he could not get anything done but would DEFINITELY call me Monday or Tuesday. It is now Friday Sept. 4 and no calls. Have had front desk tell him I have called, sent him e-mails and no return, no correspondence. I WILL NEVER purchase another thing from Lowes again. Lowe's in Hot Springs is a great example of what happens when a business doesn't have competition from a similar store. When I have HAD to go there they have been under staffed and one particular time I wanted to buy a pellet grill. I was told it was out of stock, last year's model and would not be available. I offered to buy the floor model and was rudely told that floor models were never sold. I don't think I need to explain the stupidly of this reasoning to anyone following along. I was told the manager wasn't available. I came back 2 days later and the grill was gone. Was it sold to a friend of the rude mental pygmy I dealt with 2 days previous? It's anyone's guess. Ordered a range the sales clerk told me it would be delivered January 10 but instead I get an email stating it is scheduled to be delivered January 17. So we were okay with it. I received a call the day before letting me know about the delivery the next day. It was then that I let the Lowes rep know we needed the three-prong and not the four prong. So when the two delivery guys came, my husband let the one know about the prong. The whole time my husband was trying to converse with the one guy about the range the guy was rude and unresponsive to the questions. The were remarks made by one the guys about how he hated dealing stoves and would rather deliver refrigerators while changing out the prong. There was a lot of banging around in taking the old range out and bringing the new one in. They over adjusted the height of the range and blamed it on our "uneven" counter until he used his level to see how level it was - it was LEVEL! He then shuts up. Husband didn't want to deal with them anymore and had them leave. So now we will be readjusting the height. Boggles my mind if you don't like your job why even do it. Lowe's custom cabinet/countertop department have their process and requires a good bit of effort on the client's side. It all starts with a virtual meeting (unless you are local and can go in the store I suppose). You answer a questionnaire, draw out your layout with measurements, and send pictures and any other information by email to the person you are scheduled to meet with. I picked the person who had the soonest opening and received 2 reminders of the meeting. I made sure I was at my desktop and was fully available for the meeting. I joined the meeting and waited for 10 mins before giving up. So...I did my part and you didn't show up. I think my contractor will appreciate my detailed thought-out plan though ...so thank you for the exercise. I'm moving on. Maybe next time you will have your process together on your end. My job might have been too big for you anyway -- 49 linear ft of cabinets plus countertops. read more

He was eager to help and listened to what we were interested in and we walked out of Lowes happy to have exactly what we wanted! What can you say about Lowe's? It's the only large hardware store in town. Could use some competition. Adequate safeguards for Covid-10 response except they don't seem to sanitize shopping carts. Nothing was available to do so on this visit. Selection of items in store was good. Seemed like many aisles were crowded with incoming stock but not enough help to put it up. Crowds build up and mask usage by customers was not enforced. Particularly noticeable at the paint department counter. Hardware department (screws and nuts) were re-set but the signage wasn't; just a small inconvenience. Also stockage of screws and nuts was somewhat lacking. One of the associates, instead of telling me where it was located in the store, actually "walked" me over to where the item was. I was very impressed. Had a horrible experience with Lowe's, ordered new flooring and they subcontract with Legacy Flooring for installation. Legacy is a division of Lowe's. Installers did a sloppy job, damaged most all the baseboards, mixed concrete in my very expensive pots and pans, dumped unused concrete on the grass, killing it, left dust everywhere and even drank beer from my refrigerator! I battled with Lowe's for over six weeks for satisfactory result of reimbursement since I hired another contractor to make it right. I wouldn't recommend this Lowe's location in Hot Springs, Arkansas, for anything. I live a half hour away over mountain roads, so it's not always convenient for me to get to the store. I ordered some merchandise online and had it delivered to the store. Everything was too big to haul in my SUV, so the man I hired to do the work was going to pick it up. I tried numerous times to call this location over a period of a week. I called the main number, and an automated system answered. After listening to all the BS, I was finally given options, so I chose speaking to an associate. The phone rang...and rang...and rang. During one call, I had some time, so I decided to count the number of rings, thinking they'd have to answer eventually. I hung up after 120 rings. I finally called a corporate number to get help. This store is always crowded. I try never to ask for help locating anything (NO ONE ever asks if a customer needs help). When I have asked, I've gotten a look from employees like they really can't be bothered, and they vaguely point in the direction of what I'm looking for. Parking is also a nightmare with all the trucks and trailers of contractors parked anywhere they please. I used to shop at two Lowe's locations in another state, and they were both great. I'm thinking of cutting up my Lowe's card and shopping at Sutherland's in Hot Springs or driving an hour to the closest Home Depot. And the corporate office of Lowe's hasn't heard the last from me. If I could give less that one star I would. My first mistake was buying a refrigerator from them. I have no problem with the appliance just the company I had to deal with. They don't answer the phones and if they do they just send you in an endless loop. The ones at customer service are a joke. I asked to speak to a manager and they told me to go to appliances. My delivery was to be made on a Friday. They called that morning to tell me I was 7 on the list. Later in the afternoon I had to go to work so I wanted to give them my husband's number since took off work for this. At 4:30 they called and said they had to reschedule for Saturday am. Saturday I called to find out what time and was told that I wasn't on the schedule for Saturday but for Sunday. Are you freaking kidding me?!? Comedy of errors (except it wasn't funny) We were in the store Nov 16 to look at a freezer. Was very difficult to even find someone to help us. I asked two guys passing through, but they knew nothing. My wife finally came back with a guy who knew very little (made the comment we need more help). Finally got everything written up and we talked about delivery date. We were going to be out of town until Nov 26, so he set us up for Nov 28. My wife called 815 this morning to see what time the delivery would be and she was told she had called too early... excuse me... Then he said probably this afternoon. Well, no freezer and we called back, talked to 4 different people before we finally got "we will deliver it this Friday"... it appears the guy who worked with us at the beginning did not get us on the delivery schedule (we had talked about that before we left for the holidays). Now supposedly we are on the list for Friday, but was told to call around 900 as the driver supposedly has his route figured out. This is the poorest service we've ever had at this Lowe's store and ... no apology from anyone about the mistakes made. Hot Springs wonders why more Villagers are going to Benton for items... this is another example of why... I just wanted to let you guys know about my experience as a customer at the Lowes store in Hot Springs, Arkansas. The address is 300 Corner Stone Blvd, Hot Springs, AR 71913, Store #0597. I have been a long time shopper of Lowes in many states and have spend countess thousands of dollars in your stores. It's one of my favorite stores for decorating and all my home projects. At all the Lowes stores that I have shopped at the employees are friendly and well trained and the stores are neat, clean, well lighted and comfortable until I moved to Hot Springs, Arkansas. I visited the store with a long list of items I would need for my new home and also wanted to get Levolor blinds cut for all my windows. What I noticed first when entering the store was that it was very hot and muggy. It was a little dark as well because in order to save money the management had turned the air conditioner way up high and turned off half the lights. All the employees were hot and cranky. I couldn't find items that I wanted to buy so I had to ask for help but not even one employee knew where anything was. They just continually pawned me off to someone else. Nobody would even bother to look up any of the items I was looking for on the computer. I basically wondered around asking for help. Many of the employee were just walking around not doing a thing. There was no supervision and no motivation. Next I went to have my blinds cut. My experience here was a joke. The girl working in the window covering department didn't know how to use the cutter even though she said she had been working there for six months. She said the blinds couldn't be recut and the machine was broken as she took two personal calls from her mother. She continued to talk on the phone as she cut bad blind after another. Wasting many hundreds of dollars because she was busy talking to her mother. She told us that she had called a Levolor repair person and the blinds would hopefully be cut the next day. We waited all day for her phone call but the call never came. I tried many times to call the blinds department but either nobody ever answered the phone or I was transferred each time to either flooring or paint and nobody from those departments answered the phone or when they did they couldn't find anyone to help me. My husband decided to call a manager so we could find out what was going on with our $1000 dollars worth of blinds to be cut. My husband was transferred all around the store only to find out that there was not even a manager, assistant manager, or even a supervisor on duty. The next day we drove to Bryant, AR and the wonderful and knowledgeable people there cut our blinds perfectly in their well lit, and cool, comfortable store. I thought we should call the Hot Springs store to cancel our order on the off chance they would actually be cut but again, I was transferred all over the store were nobody answered the phone. I was finally able to talk to a manager that day and I explained the situation and him that I wanted to cancel my order so Lowes wouldn't cut blinds that I no longer wanted. In a more than disinterested voice he said he would try to cancel the order. I have never been in a store that is this dysfunctional (any store not just a Lowes store) and wanted to take the time to let you know. We were at Lowes in Hot Springs Ar. We frequently use the store for building. This time it was Halloween Decoratins Nightmare Before Christmas by Tim Burton. We found The Jack and Sally Blow up. It was listed online there was a Halloween Town Wreath. I walked over to a young man on a sliding ladder and asked him. He snidley looked at me as if I was a bother and said if you dont see it we dont have it. As I turned and walked away I saw the Halloween Town Wreath haning high up on the shelf of Hallowen Decor. I said to him there it is up there. He dragged his feet with a grouch look on his face and got it down. I thanked him for taking his time and getting the wreath down. The young man did not acknowledge me and just rolled his eyes. I am a US Navy Veteran and I shop there often this type of less than pleasant to deal with is not going to help you business. Negative 5 stars***** boycott Lowe's, they are horrible and do not stand behind their large appliances. They try everything , including deleting you off their computer to resist picking up a return. They seriously could not find my purchase even when I was holding the receipt. Three trips to the store to insist they make it good. They tell you that you picked a bad made product?? Huh? You sell it...and don't believe in it? If you call the store they 'cos-play' their way through the call, you can totally tell they are faking, like in the movie Don't Tell Mom The Babysitter's Dead.. " I'm right on top of that , Rose!" Their installers are just as incompetent. No knowledge, if its a toilet, it'll leak, if it's a dryer it won't heat!! Save yourself a lot of grief and try anyone else next time It's time to stand up people!! Take a stand take back your purchasing power and boycott these clowns!! Never shop Lowe's again!!
