Picture provided by Brian of Crume Installations after completing the installation.

My family and I have been in our home for over 6 years now. Our family consists of myself, my husband, our sons and twin daughters. While we may not have a fancy home, it's ours and we value it and take care of it to the best of our ability. Due to the age of it there have been appliances and other things that have had to be replaced and/or updated. The refrigerator, stove, microwave etc. The most recent of those items consisted of the garbage disposal and the dishwasher. The garbage disposal was replaced in February of this year due to it failing to work and overflow carrying over into the dishwasher. The garbage disposal was replaced, and everything appeared to have been working without a problem. We also went a step forward and replaced the dishwasher due to its age and performance and the overflow that had previously occurred prior to the garbage disposals replacement. It was installed by Lowes installation company "Crume Installation" in May of this year 3 months after the garbage disposal was replaced. Prior to the appliances being replaced we had already moved items from under the sink such as extra bags and cleaning supplies and relocated them into the laundry room area. Which ultimately meant there was no longer a need for us to go under the sink anymore for anything. In October we noticed water on the floor in front of the kitchen sink, but it looked as if it was possibly water from where the kids completed their chores and left water on the floor so out of habit, we just cleaned it up. But it began to happen more and more and eventually resulted in us reaching out to restoration\repair company that specialized in potential water damage. After surveying the property and damage they informed us of massive amounts of water coming from under the sink and that had damaged the cabinets and flooring. It had also resulted in built-up moisture behind the cabinets and potentially the walls and arose concerns of mold. It was after this that we felt the need to file a claim with "Travelers" our insurance company, which was denied. According to their adjuster the cabinet area is an accessible area and we should have noticed what was going. We also reached out to the plumber and Lowes and their installation company whom all have denied liability for the damages. We've reached out to other plumbers to rectify the damage, but we have been informed that if they touch anything the warranty associated with the products and services will be rendered invalid by the other companies involved. We desperately need the damages fixed for the safety of our family and for us to get back to normal day to day activities. We have not been able to utilize our sink, nor the garbage disposal and we fear every single day that one of us could end up sick from the mold possibly lingering under the sink. We have considered selling our home to an investor but right now are looking towards taking legal actions as I am certain that this is happening to multiple families that pay for insurance and are denied claims when needed the most. I strongly urge others to avoid purchasing anything from Lowes and/or DO NOT use them for installation services and DO NOT use Travelers as a mortgage insurance provider. If you don't feel my situation is enough to avoid these companies, please do your diligence and read the reviews for each of them especially Crume Installations whom they have contracted with.

Love these "small box" hardware stores so much better than the "big boxes (BBs)"! Needed a simple…read moresink drain pop up rod. The BBs both listed some one-size-fits-all that reviews were very mixed on. Checked Miles Ace and looks like they had one (for about a $1 cheaper!) that had 2 sets of components for multiple fits. Walked in, immediately greeted by an offer to help, stated what I was looking for and got a personal escort right to the item I needed. In and out in about 5 minutes. Part worked exactly as a replacement for broken item. Miles is a bit further for me than another small box HW store I frequent, but Miles having an online search feature immediately tells me if they have what I need before driving out, which sways me over to them when looking for a unique item.

I have a single key to an old aftermarket Givi motorcycle trunk. These keys are notoriously hard…read moreto find/replicate. I finally found blanks, but even with the original and new blanks, I couldn't get it copied. I tried a half a dozen big box stores. It seems all the current machines require that the key matches a pre-defined blank number in the machine database (which mine does not). A perfect example of technology making things more difficult rather than easier. I saw this Ace Hardware on my way home yesterday and stopped in, hoping they could copy it. Well, they had an old key cutting machine - the kind that just duplicates whatever you put in it. The guy made me 2 copies, both of which work perfectly and charged me $0. That's right, $0. Way to go, Miles Ace Hardware - great customer service. You made a customer for life!

I would give this store a negative 5 if possible. I was referred to the Griffin location to design…read moreand install cabinetry in my new home. It started all very well, but went down hill upon delivery of the kitchen and 3 full bath installation. Most of the cabinets were not measured correctly and damaged upon arrival. The designer, Gail O., took no responsibility for the issues and harassed us to pay the bill. The initial installer ended up quitting. We hired another installer who tried he's best, but unfortunately quit because HomeDepot did not pay him. I was "black-balled" by this location. And told that my transaction was escalated to corporate. Which was not true. I have tried more then 10 times to contact corporate to no avail. I now have cabinetry items sitting uninstalled in my garage. The install began in June 2022 and it's now March 2023. Again, I'm not the only consumer harmed by the Griffin HomeDepot. I recommend that you source a local cabinetry company. I'm positive this review will result in a response by HomeDepot "We are sorry...." I cannot find an attorney willing to take on HomeDepot. The corporate office will not call me back. The Griffin management told me that they cannot and will not help me. My builder paid $40K for this horrible design and install. Do your research and please go local. Tiki Carter
