I still have not received my refrigerator, which was ordered online a week ago. It was suppose to be next day delivery. They cancelled my order without letting me know. I called customer care got 10% discount and was told the refrigerator would be delivered at my house the next day. Next day came and went. Still no refrigerator. The second day came and went, still NOT GOT DANG refrigerator. Was on hold for near 2 hours waiting for a manager to come to the phone. I have not been able to contact a manager as of 9/15/17. I am going to the store on Saturday 9/16/17 and me and whoever is working delivery are about to fight. If I get arrested start a gofundme for my bail money. They have me all the way twisted. We have had the delivery messed up for 5 days now. Call the store and nobody will take responsibility for the mix up and nobody has been able to fix the issue. I will be contacting the corporate office. It appears that the employees do not care about anything. Shame on Me. So I previously reviewed this lowes; and mentioned that the customer service is horrible. Well because I am also an idiot, i did not follow my own advice and purchased lumber from them with an order to deliever. On the day of delivery they had me with a window between 2pm and 4pm. Then proceeded to not call me and tell me that morning that they would not be delivering my products. So of course I did not find out until 5pm and ended up wasting the last 3 hours of my day waiting for them. Apparenly there driver quit and they did not have a backup driver so they were unable to deliever. When called they said, they had no idea what they were going to do. I'm sorry when someone spends 1000's of dollars on lumber and building supplies you need to be capable of delivering and if you cant then you need to make other arrangements. read more

Worst worst! Floor install gone wrong twice! First round didn't deliver enough wood and the second round it got delivered in the rain not wrapped. Subcontractor couldn't install it. Both Lowes and service pros their subcontractors can kick rocks. Went to get a refund and the cashier took 30 minutes to try and refund it even though I had all the receipts and then she couldn't even print anything for my records. If it doesn't go through on my credit card I'm disputing. I hope to never set foot in their store again. read more

This Lowes location never fails to give poor service. I ordered a grill, assembled. When I arrived, even through there were 7 people behind the counter, they actively avoided serving me. I waited about 10 minutes, and finally someone said they would help me "in a minute". About 5 minutes later, after doing something on the terminal, she finally asked me what my order number was. They don't have a scanner for the email barcode sent to me. They then informed me that although they had the grill, someone was supposed to call me and tell me that they didn't have it assembled. I took it the way it was. But each time I go in there, no checkout counters are open, and there are many people behind the counter in the customer service milling around. It's just awful read more

Here's the story in a nutshell: We went there to purchase paint samples for our new home using these vouchers that are found in the 'test paint kit'. On Saturday afternoon when the store was moderately empty, we waited no less than 30 minutes for someone to help us at the paint counter. This is after we asked for someone to be paged from various employees. The poor guy at the paint counter was very nice and genuinely tried to help us but it was certain that they are severely under staffed. After we got the samples and other items, there was one register open. One register. The rest were the self checkout lines. When we went to pay using these Lowes coupons for free paint samples, neither the cashier or the customer service lady could ring up the voucher even though they were from Lowes. The customer service lady, Monique, proceeded to raise her voice at me stating that I had the wrong product. In front of other customers. I've never encountered such unprofessionalism from anyone let alone someone who worked at the customer service counter. Needless to say, a store manager came and helped us and resolved the issue very quickly and nicely. Monique needs to be fired. read more

Don't get any installation service from this store. They will take your money and leave you hanging with a poor product and won't try to correct it. I had a vinyl fence installed with a gate but the gate has a latch on the outside of the gate. How do I get out of fence? I would have to walk a half of block around my back through the common area to open it . I don't have a latch on the inside or lock on the gate. This doesn't make since. I have called them several times to get this corrected. But they keep giving me the run around. Don't get any service from this Lowes. I have the pictures to prove it. read more

The staff are usually friendly but always seem to hate being there and are mostly clueless. Worst hardware store on the planet to order from. They have never pulled an order for me correctly. When you call to tell them they delivered the wrong stuff expect to be on the phone for hours. Not on hold because they just lay the receiver on the counter for 30 minutes or so. My guess is that their system tracks how long customers are put on hold so this is their way around that. It has happened to me quite a few times. I ordered a deep freezer March 14, 2020. I received an email stating that my delivery date would be March 23. The day before my order was to be shipped I received an order confirmation with the time of the estimated delivery which would be between 12 noon and 4:30 pm. The day of my delivery I called the store at 6 pm to find out if my order was still being delivered. I gave them my order number and was placed on hold for 15 minutes when the young lady came back to the phone she said that she didn't see my order and that the manager Kevin would follow up with me. Of course, I never heard back from Kevin and when I checked my order online it had been canceled at 7:46 am the day of my delivery. Purchased blinds with window measurement and installation on 07/23/17. I did not receive all of the blinds for a couple of months. The installer arrived on 9/23/17. They incorrectly measured 3 of the 11 windows, so I am waiting for them to replace those blinds. I have not received an update since. i LIVE close to this Lowes and have shopped there periodically. It's hit or miss, sometimes I find what I want easily, sometimes not... and the staff is sometimes helpful, other times not.. I was looking for a product to keep roots from accumulating in our toilet pipes.. they had the product but were out in two places. The guy who tried to help was nice but still couldn't get me what I needed. Then I called and spoke to an Erlene who first acted puzzled when I said the product. Then I said I thought I needed to speak with someone who knew what the product was. She became somewhat defensive but did offer to look to see if the product was there (it was a root killer for toilets called Roebic FRK-6, something an Amazon reviewer said he got in Lowes for a better price than on Amazon). Erlene came back and said they did have Roebic products but not the root kill. She said they had something called The Enforcer. I looked this up and saw it does clear hair,etc. but it said nothing about roots.. Frustrating. Erlene did say that not all Lowe's carry the same products.. also frustrating. read more

I had said once before that I'd never shop here again, but it was convenient. I'm shopping for wood or faux wood blinds for 14 Windows. I had a good experience @ Home Depot & wanted to compare the stores. I walked around the Lowe's blinds area for ~ 20 mins w/o being offered help. I finally sat down in an employee's chair at a desk & started reading the brochures. An employee approached me, asking if I was being helped. After replying, "no", she said she'd page someone, then looked up & said, "There they are, talking trash." She paged them, they never looked over, I sat there for another 10 mins then walked out. I started the process of ordering 20 blinds for my home just before Christmas. Had my measurement right away, but their installer is the only positive thing so far. It took a month to get my order placed. They were installed Feb 22nd and they didn't send a few brackets for the blinds on the doors to keep them from banging when the door opens and 2 of the blind toppers were cut wrong. Both myself and the installer has made many calls and emails. 2 weeks ago was promised the store manager would be calling me in 30 mins. Still no call or resolution. They don't even care. Not 1 return call or email from them and it's April 28th. So 4 months later and I'm still not taken care of. This is the worst customer service I have received. Their installation dept can't get anything done and neither can their associates. Go somewhere else for your home improvement needs. read more

I rarely write a review but this one is hard to resist! Jim Smith at store #0624 is in need of serious customer care training! His sales person, Steve, was much better at handling the situation and managing my disappointment than the manager! Briefly, I work for a renovation company and ordered a washer and dryer a week in advance to go into a home prior to the sale. As luck would have it the dryer comes in damaged from the distribution center and there weren't any replacements within the vicinity and it would be another week before they could install. Steve from Lowe's suggested I purchase a different set but it would cost our company an extra $100. I asked to speak with the manager thinking perhaps we could figure this out. Jim gets on the line and was unprofessional and unapologetic for the mishap. He refused to take ANY responsibility for the product coming in damaged and said it was no reflection on him. He could care less that our company is on target to spend a million dollars in sales and clearly does not appreciate nor value maintaining any kind of relationship with our renovation company. In contrast, I hung up the phone and called M and M appliance and I am not kidding-- they will have a washer and dryer of the same value, placed in the home within 24hours! Jim, money and business must come easily to you since you could really care less about the manner in which you treat your customers. I didn't say you need to cater to my every whim! But being kind, respectful and empathetic-- would have gone a long way towards finding a resolution. read more

It seems, from reading the other reviews, that I had a similar experience at this Lowes: poor customer service. I go there infrequently, and the last two times were horrible. I have even spoken with the manager regarding the first incident. She seemed indifferent to what I told her. So, I believe that the poor service is systemic at this store. Its not just when you get to the store, it starts with the initial phone call to the store. The operator began transferring me back to appliances. After the second "ring back" I began driving over there. I was transferred back to appliance no less than 6 times during my ride over there. By this time, it seems that the operator simply sat the receiver down and did no more. I could here people speaking in the background and the announcements over the store PA system. When I got to the appliance dept, there was no one there. An associate from an adjoining dept proceeded to help me. While he was checking in the back for my item, the appliance associate shows up to pick up the phone after a page then hangs up muttering something about "there's never anyone on the line"! Doesn't even acknowledge that I am in his dept, nor asks if he can help. Then vanishes again. So my question, why would the operator transfer me back to a dept so many times where no one is answering? If he is answering, but no one is one the line, why doesn't he go to the operator to mention that he is not receiving his phone calls? I agree with some of the other reviewers; I would not mind seeing this particular store disappear. The only reason I even went there was because I needed a stove, right away and it was a Sunday. I have found that they sometimes have appliance in stock and ready to go. This time they did. They sent me to the front service counter to collect the paperwork and pay for the stove. After standing there for 15 minutes and being totally ignored by the two that were "slowly" working and the other three that were constantly interrupting the first two with what appeared to be personal conversations, I finally spoke up and asked for help. One of them turned around and told me to go to the self service check out to finish my transaction. Which I did. I went back over to the cart with the stove on it and pushed it to an exit. Just as I was leaving, a cashier jumps out and asks for my receipt! The only person to acknowledge me the entire time I was there! I showed her the crumpled up receipt in my hand and walked out the door. I loaded the stove on my truck by myself. I looked at my phone, I'm still on hold! About an hour has transpired. If you are considering or have considered using Lowes of Catonsville for a kitchen remodel and have actually walked into the store, i urge you to turn around, run as fast as you can and never look back there again.And run even faster if a guy named John tries to help you. It has been the worst nightmare of our lives dealing with everyone from the in store sales people and "designers" to the subcontractor (Carnegie Kitchens) to even corporate. Yes, corporate had to get involved its been so bad. But they have been no help whatsoever because you are speaking with some woman from Indiana who reads her corporate script from a telaprompter and only shows up for work 3 days a week. Pure incompitence, no common sense, dishonesty and lack of accountability and remorse for what they have put us through. This post would be 100 pages if I go into detail and state every pathetic mistake that occurred on their watch. I just beg anyone who reads this post to trust my words, I am only trying to help as many people out there so they don't go thru what we have. It will truly test your marriage and your sanity. And if you are curious, our job is still not complete. It began the last week in October and we told them we were done with them, all of them, and we would finish the job ourselves. I use this Lowes for new appliances (and occasional consumer goods like hard-to-find light bulbs). They've been amazingly good. If you're a proud cheap-skate like me, they'll price-match other stores. There are 10% off movers coupons through USPS, specials for money off across the board, and other Lowes stuff that keeps things cheap. The staff is relatively friendly, and in appliances they're (mostly) pretty knowledgeable (a few newbie exceptions - just leave and come back for somebody seasoned). I've gotten some great deals (5 major appliances in 5 years) and the service has been really good. (OK, sometimes I've had to call Lowes Exec Customer Service at HQ, but that always sets things right.) Usually I assume that stores in more expensive neighborhoods (Timonium) have nicer staff etc than in dumpier places (sorry, Catonsville!), but I really don't notice much difference here. Indeed, even the clientele wearing flip-flops here seem to get service as good as the Gucci loafer crowd over there. Five stars. read more

I hate writing negative reviews, however in this instance it must be done. My experience at this particular Lowes location as well as the customer experiences that have followed have been abismal and as such I encourage people to avoid the store as if it were quarantined with plague. My wife and I went to the store on a Saturday to purchase several hundred dollars worth of gardening supplies and landscaping items. When we located what we needed we were unable to get the items ourselves either due to height placement or weight. My wife went to the customer service area and requested assistance. The announcement was made and I we waited and waited...no one showed. I then did the same, announcement made...waited and waited and no one showed. I did this a 3rd time and the same thing. At this point we are beyond frustrated and as such while in the store on my cell phone I call to speak to a manager. Once I do I explain what is happening and am told I will get to you when I can. I responded that was not acceptable customer service and left the store. I then called Lowes 800 number where I was apologized to and assured of a phone call by Monday from the store manager. By Wednesday, no call. So I call back to which they stated the manager said they spoke with me and resolved the issue. When I told them that never happened, they said they escalated the case and the Marketing Director would call. Instead the store Manager, Dawn, called and apologized and said if I ever chose to come back to her store look her up. What? How does this demonstrate you want me back as a customer. So I call the 800 number again, and they tell me that they will really escalate the issue this time. I highly recommend that Lowes needs to go out of business if it cannot do a minimal job to keep customers. read more

Absolutely the worst experience possible. Waited for 1.5 hours for help in the appliance section. Should have left right then. Purchased a washer and dryer. Washer was delivered. Delivery guys were not that friendly. Did not install washer like I was told they would. Left it in the middle of the room.Still waiting for dryer to be installed. Called lowes the night before delivery to make sure everything was a go. Was put on hold 3 times for such a long time that I was disconnected or hung up on. As a new homeowner, I needed a lawnmower to care for our new home. After careful research, I decided to purchase a particular lawn mower from Lowe's. After over 3 weeks of waiting for the lawn mower, I have found out that the lawn mower does not exist and had to pay $260 for lawn mower services. Still I have not received a complete rebate and have not been compensated fully for time. 11/26/2017 - Purchased online Bronco 19" P Automatic Lawnmower & Mower Bags 11/26/2017 - Contacted Lowe's delivery service that I needed the system automated delivery changed from 12/2 to the following Saturday morning, 12/8. 12/8 - After, earlier in the week, requesting a Sat morning delivery time, Lowe's delivery service called me and a recording said my scheduled delivery time would be Sat, 12/9 between 4:30 PM-6:30 PM. I told them that did not work for my schedule, and they said the delivery would have to be rescheduled for the following weekend. I informed them, again, that I would prefer a Sat morning delivery time. 12/15- I received a recorded call from Lowe's delivery service telling me my scheduled delivery time would be Sat, 12/16 between 2:30 PM-4:30 PM. Despite the time not fitting my requested delivery time, I decided to rearrange my plans and accept this delivery time so I could finally have my mower! As an automated call, there was no requirement to call I agreed to this delivery time. 12/16 - At 11:35 AM, the local Lowe's delivery people in Catonsville, MD called me and said there was a mix up in scheduling and so they didn't send the delivery at all. They insisted that because I asked for a morning delivery, the decision could be made without consulting me to not provide the delivery at all. I asked if they would be able to deliver the following day on Sunday, 12/17 and they said this would not be a problem, even telling me that they would be able to deliver the product that I order at the specified time of 2:30-4:30PM. 12/17 - At 9:49AM, Xavier left a message from the Lowe's store in Catonville, MD stated that there would be no delivery of the lawn mower because the lawn mover does not exist at the store. When I called Xavier at 9:57AM after a very long wait, I spoke to Xavier who reiterated that the lawn mower did not exist in the store on the day that I initially ordered it and was not even available in the neighboring store in Columbia, MD. Although he apologized profusely, the only consolidation he could give a lawn mower that was not the one I order at 10% off the price and would not have a lawn mower bag to match. I asked Xavier for the phone to the customer care service after telling him that I would rather have the refund. 12/18/2017 - At 6:19PM, I called the customer care line at Lowe's who after commented that I failed to get the product after 3 weeks of waiting and having to my lawn serviced twice for $130 each, I wanted to be compensated fairly. I gave a fair amount of $200-300 aside from the full refund. I was given the option of 10% of my next purchase. I asked to speak to a manager. I therefore spoke to Susan who after making the estimate of $200-300 said that the 10% is the highest amount they could give. I informed her that I have no reason to buy anything more expensive than this and I would not be able to buy a new lawnmower until next year. After arguing more, I asked to speak to her supervisor. Susan stated that she was the supervisor responsible for customers and the next level of supervisor cannot be reached by customers. I insisted that all people have bosses and she continued to state that her supervisor cannot be contacted directly and that I had a choice between $100 or 10% of my next purchase. At this time, I have finally gotten my refund, but I plan to never go to Lowe's AGAIN!! read more

I ordered a refrigerator on Monday morning. In that time I have spent over two hours on the phone, the order has been cancelled and no one will order it out of the distribution center until the gift card arrives in the mail. Please see this timeline: I ordered the refrigerator online Monday morning from Columbia. I received a phone call Monday afternoon from the Catonsville store to say it was transferred to them, but they didn't have any so they transferred it to Westminster. Westminster called Tuesday around 8:30 AM to complain that the Catonsville store never should have sent it to them and that they were transferring it somewhere else. It was unclear where. Before 10:30 AM on Tuesday a voicemail was left on my phone saying the that the refrigerator was not in stock. There was no explanation of further steps. At 10:45 AM I attempted two return phone calls to the store only to be transferred to a department that never picked up the phone. By 11 AM I contacted Lowes Customer Care and learned that the order was cancelled, but that there were over 200 units in stock from the distribution center. The rep escalated it to a complaint and said that I would hear from someone in 24 hours. I did not. I called Wednesday at 11:52 AM, spent an hour on the phone with a rep who was trying to locate a refrigerator only to be told that I needed to speak with a manager. A recording came on asking me to press 1 for feedback. The call was terminated by Lowes' system. I called back at 12:49 PM, waited five minutes for a supervisor, only be sent to the same recording for the feedback system, and the call was terminated. I called back at 12:55, and spent another 35 minutes on the phone while yet another rep acquainted them self with this issue only to be told that I would be contacted by a store manager in 24 hours; the SAME process that I was assured would happen on Tuesday and did not. Here's the issue. I used gift cards to pay half the price of a refrigerator. The order was cancelled, without my knowledge, without the opportunity to order it from the distribution center and now after three days and 2.5 hours on the phone I have NO refrigerator on order, NO gift cards to pay for a reorder from the distribution center and NO call back from ANYONE that has any ability to fix this. After all this time, hassle and inconvenience, I have to wait over a week or reorder a product that was supposed to be delivered yesterday all because various stores mismanaged the process and cancelled the order. This is far from adequate customer service and is a complete disregard not just for the customer, but for the execution of good common sense. I'll be singing this story from the rafters on every review site and personal conversation I have. read more

We ordered fencing material and decided to have it delivered. Received a call at 8 a.m. the day of the delivery, stating that we would be the second stop (yea!). He finally showed up at 4:30 with almost all of our order. He told us he'd be back the following day (today) with the rest of the order. It is now 3 o'clock, we've heard not one word from the deliveryman or Lowe's. My husband is on the phone with Lowe's in Catonsville, trying to find out what is going on. Never again will we deal with this particular Lowe's. We used this Lowe's because the Columbia store didn't have enough of this particular fencing material available. Why can't you give zero stars!?! This experience was brutal. Needed a window air conditioner.ate in season, and sort of an emergency. Website said 80 in stock. I know that's not possible, so I call the store. First time, guy says to wait for a minute. 20 minutes later he hangs up on me. Second call, I get some one to check. He's nice. Says they don't have 80, but they do have a couple. Says he will call to the service desk and tell them online order is coming and have it pulled right away. I order immediately. Five hours later, I get email saying order is ready for pickup. I go to pick it up and it isn't there. I'm told " ready for pickup" means they have to go to the shelf and get it. What's the point then? Why not show up one minute after the online order? They say it isn't on shelf. So I walk to shelf and point to it. Then they admit they have it. But no! They have an associates meeting. They will be back in 1/2 hour to get my item. I'd call them out by name, but no name tags. Finally got it. If it hadn't been urgent, I'd obviously have walked. I agree with the other reviewer who said they were incompetent ... to the point where two of the staff were unable and unwilling to write my name and address down. I was contacted by the store and asked to call back to verify my address. Two people I spoke with on two different days couldn't do this. All I asked them to do was to take my name and address and give it to the store manager who had called and asked me for this information. Difficult task, I realize. I'm sure there are several 9 or 10 year olds out there who could do the job quite well and Lowe's might consider hiring some eager children to replace the idiots they have there now. read more

I tried giving a 1 star which is too much but the system won't let me so I guess they must have it rigged. The Elkridge, MD store is the worst one I have encountered. People have no clue what they are doing, they can't get deliveries straight, they talk to you like you are inconveniencing them. My husband was calling them about their mistake and the person on the other end said "are you done yet". Really. They delivered when they weren't supposed to, I wasn't home because the delivery wasn't supposed to be made then, they rescheduled my delivery and then didn't show. Then when I call at the 4 hour window I'm told the store cancelled my order. Wow, you sure take my money but you don't provide the product. And then you get the back and forth issue with having to call XPO then the store then XPO then the store, then XPO, then the store and the circle keeps going. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE. I wouldn't even give them a 1. Oh and they screwed up on the military discount as well. The cashier didn't do it properly so now I have to contact the store yet again. I have never seen this kind of customer service! They are disrespectful. Our landlord bought a refrigerator from this store, if I were them, I would have never ever bought anything from this store, because I have seen the ratings, and almost every review is a complaint of this disgraceful customer service. The refrigerator was a replacement for a faulty fridge. The old fridge should have been taken out of the house around 2/3 weeks ago, yet they repeatedly gave us appointments for the fridge to be taken out, yet nobody came. Now, the old fridge has no place to be, and is now in the middle of our dining room. All in all, a disgraceful store, with horrible customer service. Shameful. read more

I wouldn't even give them a whole star! Less than half of a star if I could. I will NEVER shop at Lowe's again!! I'd paid for a detail and was told I'd be contacted within two days. Four days later no one has contacted me and I've not been able to get an employee on the phone to address the issue. When some FINALLY answers the phone I'm transferred and no one answers the phone in that department. I've attempted to speak with someone several times and have yet to speak to anyone. Their customer service sucks sorry and they don't do what they say they will when they say they will. Unlike my experiences at Home Depot, this has been extremely frustrating and I'll not shop there again. I'm going back to have my deposit returned. read more
