The upside.... The drink from the cooler is very cold. I mean if you really enjoy over paying for everything.... By all means stop by and say high to the semi rude staff. They even charged almost a dollar for the bbq sauce that accompanied the over priced chicken. I didn't mind paying for the chicken bc I was in a tight spot but they charge 1.98 for the 2 for a dollar chips. If I wasn't in a time constraint I could have saved money at Hardee's and everyone knows how expensive they are. In all seriousness I drive a lot as work takes me all over in Georgia Florida Alabama Mississippi Louisiana and Tennessee.... So I go into alot of gas stations. Some stations have cheap gas but expensive food others have expensive gas but deals on food... this location has neither. Most gas station chicken places give you a sauce with your expensive chicken. They do not. You will pay about 33% more in "convenience" from this location than the average gas station. I knew it would be rough, I expected to pay possibly right at 10 bucks... ended up paying a bit over 14 bucks. I regret over paying out of convenience.... Would have been better off fasting I suppose. The chicken was OKAY. Bbq sauce was mid. They have the right to charge what they want.... As I have the right to complain about it and possibly help people save money. If I am ever unfortunate enough to have to stop there again, I'll update yall and let yall know if it changes... but I doubt that will happen. Update! So to drive my point home... I stopped at another station may miles down the road exit 1 in Cuba at the Cuba 1 stop. Got the exact same thing as at the trackside truck stop. Guess what!? Spent 9.82 and the gentleman was nice and courteous. If you can make it here I recommend the Cuba one stop way over.

Coming and going to and from the games can become pretty boring. We like to mix it up a bit and take highways instead of the interstate. We choose different ones to keep it interesting. One of our trips took us through Greensboro Alabama and we were hungry. I looked online at the restaurant options and found M&M Mustang Oil Restaurant was a meat and three type of restaurant with southern food. That's right up our Alabama hearts. We headed that way. Did ya know that Greensboro Alabama is the Alabama Catfish Capital? No?....... Yep! So guess what I just had to have! Good ole USofA raised Mud Cat! It was delicious! That was almost a year ago and we have been going back ever since. This was our third time to go. I have had the catfish plate and the Po-Boy. Helen gets either 3-4 of the sides or the catfish plate which comes with two sides plus hush puppies or cornbread. We also have had the Cheese Logs and the Fried Mushrooms. Everything is delicious! The Cheese Logs are by far the best cheese sticks we have ever had. Talk about molten cheese! Mary (server and cook) uses pepper jack to make the logs. They are slap your grandma good! Onion rings-terrific. The coleslaw is too. If I had to find something it would be that I like my purple hull peas cooked down, way down, like all day cooked down. These are good but just not how I eat them. One last thing. Every one of the tables has home preserved peppers on them. The juice goes great on the cornbread and the peas. Even the coleslaw is better with it. I dare ya to pull a pepper or two out and pop em in your mouth! Especially the tiny sport peppers. They will burn you twice, coming AND going, if ya know what I mean. Go on, don't fret about what it looks like inside or out. You are going to get some delicious food and you will thank me later. Do not forget the catfish. Unless it is an off day it will be the best you have plopped into your mouth!

He's completely redesigned the entire store and added lots of new hot food including hunts brother pizza. I love the new design. It's clean, and easier to get in and out of now. The staff is friendly now, and they have a huge selection of drinks and snacks. The gas prices are usually a few cents cheaper down the road at the shell, but it's still fun to go in here and get pizza or chicken bites. Totally giving 5 stars. Which I feel is overly generous for a gas station.
