I almost got away but I'm a nice person lol!!! I came to this truck stop to just grab a few snacks so I went to the self pay since I was in a rush to hit the road. I never carry my wallet so I had my phone for Apple Pay but little did I know after ringing up everything the tap doesn't work on the self pay machines. I had to go to the associate who was unaware the tap pay wasn't working but a regular customer said that they haven't worked in a while. I would suggest putting a sign up because most people use tap to pay nowadays. I get to the register and my cashier didn't ring everything in the bag up I could've gotten away with $17 worth of items. I'm an honest person so I told him there was more in the bag. I would visit this store again but please fix the tap to pay on the self service registers. read more

As my family and I headed up to Minneapolis-- we needed a restroom break and a tank of gas. Love's Travel Stop fit the bill. Love's always boasts: - Clean bathrooms (they pride themselves on the cleanliness, even soliciting ratings.) - A plethora of bizarre merch-- we saw some rad walking sticks with silver ornate handles that I can't say I've ever seen offered at a gas station before. - A smorgasbord of specialty food items made daily-- like tacos, sandwiches, Taquitos and chicken drumsticks. Love's Travel Spot is just off the interstate and an above average option for a pit stop. read more

Didn't got into the Wendy's but the gas station is nice. It's clean and offers lots of different things! We even got a Minnesota spoon since we are just passing through. Has a little bit of everything. Also extra plus for those driving trucks. They have windshield cleaners with extra long sticks! I hate the small ones with my husbands Toyota I get bug guts on me from the side of the truck. read more

Of all my Loves, Barbie was definitely the hottest. And least jealous of the other Loves too. And she's had plenty of her own. And we Loves it. This is right across the highway from the Petro station and truck plaza, which is one of my favourite truck stops in the whole country. So I almost never stop here at Love's anymore even though I did one time when I was heading south, and a previous time while heading North when I used to think Love's was the sh** to end all sh**. I guess losing your colon would cause you to end all sh**? Or divert it anyway. But back on topic (and off colonic). What I will say about Love's is that it's very clean and fairly friendly and is pretty cool just like the Petro across the street so I recommend it. Skip the Wendy's though. That's some of the worst food you can get. It's not a bad location but it's just bad food. Gas prices here are usually identical to what they are at Petro directly across the highway. Just like twins are identical..... BUT NOT ALWAYS IDENTICAL. And that's all you need to know. read more

I arrived here because of the Wendy's that shared the convenience store part of the Travel spot. But I did go in to look over all the trucker-related stuff. I didn't need any driver's forms, knives, or snacks, but I did find a cool little book that listed all the truck stops in the USA and parts of Canada by Highway. Of course there's more that serves Trucking needs here, but I was just an accidental observer yesterday. Maybe next month when I'm back in Iowa City I'll visit a bigger nearby shrine - The Iowa 80 Truck Stop. read more

Nice small little loves truck stop with some nice clean showers, the cashier always seem to be really busy with the overwhelming flow of customers but they definitely try their best to get the job done, they have a Wendy's inside but overall experience was pleasant. read more

I was in the store today and some crazy store employee who seemed to be in a termination phase started going off about the staff. I was blindsided by it all. they handled it with integrity, they were calm and this ex employee was off the chain. swearing. when you see a team being a TEAM, this was a great team. holding it together and very respectful and professional. amongst alllll the construction and how busy they were. showers were clean, bathrooms were NEW and beautiful. once this store is done with construction, it will be wonderful. props to the GM for the handling of her store while chaos ensued. love this store and I'll be back! read more

I wanted to thank the Store General Manager Patrick Piper for assisting with my son's wallet that he lost in the store. While on a youth church trip, my son with a bus load of youth stopped at the store for dinner/rest stop at which time my teenage soon lost his wallet. Fortunately a good person found it and turned it in to the store office. The wallet had some cash and my son drivers license. We called and spoke with the General Manager who informed us that he could send us the wallet to the address shown on the drivers license - good store policy. Patrick was kind and showed that he cared about our situation. We really appreciate his customer service and quick action to send us my son's wallet. read more

I always end up stopping here to grab a bite to eat at Wendy's. It's the nearest Wendy's just north of the border on I-35. Sure, you can stop by the Trails Travel Stop next door with McD's. However, I usually favor the salads at Wendy's. Not a bad truck stop. It serves it's purpose and has fast/quick service. Plus, you can gas up and head back on the road:) If you want a nicer convenience store, then head over to the Trails Travel Stop next door. read more

Love's Travel Stop in Albert Lea has been a stop on many a trip to Twin Cities. Wether its because of a snow storm, or I need gas, or I just need to stop to go to the bathroom! This Love's is always clean, and the staff is always nice! The coffee is pretty good and they got snacks galore! It's huge and they dont care if you wait out a snow storm there! Not to shabby! read more

It seems as though this Loves has no TirePass, which is an attractive value considering the safety aspect and the preventive maintenance advantages. I check a few Loves along my route here to Minnesota and none of them have a TirePass that was up and operational. read more
