Just last week, I arrived at this post office exactly 2 minutes before closing time and when I got inside to open the door to go to the counter it was already locked. I looked at my iPhone which read 5:29. Two male workers were still at the desk and I had 2 packages in hand with postage already attached. I didn't need a receipt but I did need for them to go out that day. I tapped on the door and asked if I put the packages in the drop box would they post mark them to still go out today? If they said no I planned to drive a few miles further to the post office location off fields ertel rd that stays open until 6:00PM but, they yelled from the desk loud enough for me to hear from the other side of the glass doors "yes, put them in the package bin and we will get them out today". I said thank you and left. They didn't end up post marking those packages until 24 HRS LATER!!!! Delivered them on a Tuesday at 5:29 and they were not received by them until Wednesday around 5:30! Just do as you say you will when you are representing a business!! I trust a USPS worker to do as they say they will do? I ended up having to send credits to the buyers of those two packages as a result of this. Just say "NO" if you are going to be so lazy to not get them after you say you will because I could have driven them to a post office that would have. That was over a week ago and I am still so angry about this! Additionally, about 1 month prior, I had another incident with this post office where I dropped off 3 packages on a Friday afternoon at the counter. 2 of the 3 were post marked as "received" moments after I left. The 3rd one wasn't marked as received until the following Tuesday afternoon!! Why? I had to give that customer a full credit because of these irresponsible young men that work at this location! Do you think this post office location is going to reimburse me for all the money I have to credit to buyers? I simply hate that some USPS workers take zero responsibility for their actions or I should say lack of actions! read more

The small town of Loveland has a cute little post office right in the middle of town. You can find this post office only a few minutes from the Bike Trail. This post office has a self service station, as well as a place to talk to a live person to have them ship and mail all items and letters. This location also has a place to weigh items and letters without having to go stand in line to talk to a live person. Lots of convenience here at this location. If you prefer not to run inside to mail your items, there are also 2 to 3 large mail bins located near the exit on the way out of this post office. One of my favorite things about the Loveland post office is that they support the tradition of the Loveland Valentine ladies. People, as well as local Loveland businesses, hand stamp all letters and packages with a message of love during the valentine season. It is a hidden gem in Loveland, as lots of people want their valentines stamped with a message of love from Loveland, Ohio, the sweetheart of Ohio! I made a lengthy trip across counties to use this specific post office for a special wedding mailing; only 6 pieces. There had been a local magazine article that highly recommended this location for Valentine's Day, Anniversaries, etc...due to it's "Loveland" cancellation stamp. In this case, I had a few items intended as wedding keepsakes for the couple & parent/family. One formal envelope and 5 small, "Save the Dates" that I wanted to be certain had proper postage. I was even recommended to go to Loveland by the Parkdale Branch; saying they would have more wedding stamp selection.... Imagine my surprise when I was arrived between 12:30-1pm on a quiet afternoon. No one was attending the counter, then a young man checked from the back room, came out & grumbled something about lunch..... I asked for weighing items and what appropriate postage on my 6 items. The younger attendant in a hawaiian shirt was gruff to answer the question adding, "why would anyone go to such fuss for wedding invitations when there is email...." While I was on this specific request from the Bride's mother and mentioned that, he emphatically continued, "...if I had a fiance who wanted that kind of wedding, I would call it off and not marry her at all !" I tried to neutralize his angry attitude over the task as he completed the transaction for the stamps needed. In this exchange, I asked if "hand cancellation" was included in the proper postage paid? He was even more aggitated, shrugged & replied, "just step over to the next window & set them on the counter when you finish" (meaning, finish applying the stamps). As I did this, he remarked to me (while helping the next customer), "....are you going to be here all day?...in a mock-joking tone. As I finished the stamps & made eye-contact w/this attendant, he gestured to the empty window next to his own.."set them there". I did as instructed and was uncertain as to whether the items would be tended or not....I just gestured back, THANK YOU. It took no less than 3-weeks for these pieces of mail to be delivered. One was even in Cincinnati! The out of state ones varied on 2-3 weeks before reaching their recipients. After the first 7-10 days of no deliviery, I had gone to my local Parkdale Branch to inquire. They were quite helpful, assisting a missing mail search report. She mentioned that sometimes, hand-cancelled items get "lost" in the process after the first phase of sorting; explaining that they can be mistakenly entered into the next 2 phases of sorting --mechanically. She also noted that if the hand cancellation was done, it could take up-to three weeks. I was disappointed, but hopeful they would arrive. Sadly, the attendant's theory was confirmed...condition of several pieces were absolutely awful--bent, folded and OVER-ly stamped!!! These were nicely hand lettered (my occupation) and were obviously handled WITHOUT care. In fact, it looked like the attendant took his frustration out on these items; stamping three-4 times on BOTH sides of the small notes!! Not surprisingly, I would NOT recommend this office & especially not the clerk w/hawaiian shirt...easy to avoid, his counter window "station" had a hawaiian shirt greeting card posted on his bulletin board. the issue is that the usps is a losing venture. they can't deliver packages or letters to the correct box and there is no way to find a package that is delivered to the wrong box. i continue to get mail addressed to individuals whose names are not on my box and who have not lived here for more than 4 years. this, despite, repeated efforts on my part to make corrections. it is no wonder that the usps loses millions of dollars every year. why would anyone trust such a flawed system with their important communications and packages that are paid for. read more

Had a very bad experience with the postal worker with long platinum hair and facial hair. I arrived at what I believed to be under the wire at 5:28. The doors were still open and when I entered there were two postal workers behind the desk. The one w long hair gruffly asked me what time I had, and I said 5:28. He says, "It's 5:31," in a very domineering voice, then asks me what I want. I assume, under the circumstances I should be leaving, and I'm getting two signals from him. I felt really uncomfortable, which was his intention. I told him I need my letter delivered as quickly as possible but I'll come back tomorrow. Then left for the lobby where I stopped at the stamp machine. I was surprised to find he'd followed me into the lobby and as I was looking over the machine he asked what do I want to do, and not pleasantly, not in a neutral tone, but overbearingly. I hadn't asked for his help at all. I wasn't pressuring him, I wasn't rude, but I'm a woman, not unattractive and not young. Would he treat a man like this? I told him thank you but I didn't expect special treatment and he point blank said sarcastically, "YES YOU DID BECAUSE YOU KNEW YOU CAME IN AT 5:31. Come with me I'll take care of it," in a very dominate and rude manner. Out of discomfort, I immediately left the building to return to my car for a few moments. Assuming he'd be back to his work I reentered the lobby to use the machine and he was still there waiting and watching me! I told him firmly I didn't need his help and he finally left the lobby. I didnt want to be anywhere near this guy. I never spoke loudly or rudely. He had an issue, he should be professional, tell me, the customer the PO is closed; the door should be locked at 5:30. When I left he shouldn't have followed me into the lobby, he shouldn't be challenging me, insinuating I'm lying about what I thought the time was, or speaking to me. I'm positive if I'd been a man he'd have behaved differently. It's like he got off on the situation. I hope not to see him in the PO of my town and you take this review seriously read more

Have had SEVERAL pieces of mail go "missing" from here and they NEVER answer their phone. Customer service is very much lacking..

They refuse to answer the phone. They constantly deliver other people's mail to my address, Drivers don't seem to be able to identify numbers. The house numbers are on the mail box so there shouldn't be any problem, you would think . read more
