This is one of three locations I know of in Ventura County. The others are in Camarillo and in Oxnard in Ventura rd. This is conveniently located in the Annex within the Collection and has been a popular eating venue since it has opened while other shops seem to not last as long. The food is pretty consistent with all the other locations although for dine in, I prefer the Camarillo location as it's a larger space and their portions seem to be a bit more generous. If you are doing takeout and have called it in, I would definitely check your order before leaving. The workers are Vietnamese and although they are very friendly, can sometimes be hard to understand on the phone resulting in a communication breakdown of your order. It has happened to me several times and luckily I always check my food when doing takeout. Not a big deal, just be aware. This is a go to spot if you are looking for a healthier delicious option for lunch or dinner. read more

I've been here numerous times. I usually get the filet mignon pho. Normally, it's pretty good - tender soft meat. However, on this occasion, the meat was tough and full of tendon. Clearly this wasn't filet. However, the other dishes were ok. If you want something sweet at the end of the meal, I would recommend one of the flavored smoothies, just don't add the boba; it's not very good. It's a hit or miss place, but it's about as good as it's gonna get in the Oxnard/Ventura area, thus the 4 stars. (If this was any place closer to LA, it would be downgraded to 3 stars). read more

We love Vietnamese food. Any day is a great day for pho or banh mi sandwiches and we can have it for breakfast, lunch or dinner. My boys and I had a movie date and we decided to try this place at the Annex. Perfectly located so close to the theater and to our car. Their space is small but there's other spots around the annex were you can seat. Personnel: efficient and quick to help you. Having said that they need to be a bit more friendly. They look focused which is good but a smile is always welcoming. Food: not bad Definitely not the best Pho we've had but pretty tasty anyways. Despite the warm temperatures, my boy had a large bowl of Pho with the works. We also order a vermicelli platter. The flavors on the meat were so well seasoned and cooked thoroughly without drying the meat. Portions were large so we ended up not getting popcorn at theater afterwards. Haha. I order the banh mi ( oh my)!! That was surprisingly the best item we ordered. The bread was freshly made and perfect sized. The meat and veggie (pickled radishes/carrots) ratio were just right. This review is specifically for the the DRINKS since we have not yet tried any food items. We had the TARO SMOOTHIE and the MILK TEA. Both were prepared within 5 minutes. Creamy, sweet, and served ice-cold. The boba had the perfect consistency -- drinkable, chewy and soft, but not mushy. I typically ask for drinks without boba balls because they're often either undercooked or overcooked, but found Love Pho's version quite addictive. Minor gripe that the drinks were very icy. Towards the bottom of the drink, there were lots of crunchy ice chunks, about 20% of each cup. Pet peeve when drinks aren't blended thoroughly. PRICES are relatively cheap: only $2.75 for a small drink versus $3.75 for large. Special toppings like crystal boba or rainbow jelly are extra. Kids pork rice bowl is ok. Popcorn chicken is a bit bland, would be nice to have sweet and sour sauce with it but I don't think they have that. Grilled chicken banh mi sandwich was also a bit bland but tasted much better when I added mayo on it at home. Employees are stressed because they're in a tight space and trying to serve a lot of people. I could give less stars since it wasn't a great food experience but I could see that they're working hard while a lot of others are on holiday and that deserves some kudos. read more

I gave this place four stars because I remember their pho being delicious! I stopped by today to try their smoothies with boba out of curiosity. It was a little watery (flavor-wise) and seemed like it had been cooked with a little too much ice. There wasn't much boba in it, which I normally would not minded if the smoothie was a little tastier. Not my favorite spot for smoothies/boba, but their pho was very satisfying. read more

No vegetables, herbs, or pickled carrot/radish came alongside with the egg rolls. I don't know if they forgot but I wasn't able to enjoy. What separates Vietnamese egg rolls from the rest is the vegetables and herbs that are eaten together with the rolls. The texture of the lettuce, the cool scent from the mint, the crunch from the cucumbers, etc. The Nuoc Cham was also pretty basic, not very colorful as well. Btw, this restaurant is located in a modern cafeteria like setting with a lot of other small eateries inside. Nice concept for the space--no complaints on that, but the egg rolls here need improvement. read more

Food is delicious. Although the prices have increased, I do not mind at all because they keep the quality and quantity the same. Service is fast and efficient. This is a review of just their pho and not their subs. I'm still looking forward to trying out their subs. If you are eating in, just go ahead and sit down and they will bring out for your sit down menus. Initially I thought that you had to order and then sit but that's not the case. Their pho is pretty solid but not the best I've had. I felt like the taste of their noodles did not blend as well with the taste of broth as I have experienced. They don't have the typical option of pho with just brisket. I was surprised they didn't. The option they push when someone asks for that is their three meat bowl where you get to choose three different meats instead of just one. You might think they're trying to milk you by taking out a popular sought out dish and replacing it with one that gives you 3 meats but in all honesty it's not that much more expensive than it might have otherwise been if they did have a brisket only option. Take it from me, I easy get offended when I feel like a business tries to pull a fast one and I didn't get triggered. The quality of their meats is a hit or miss. I don't think the rare steak is any good. The tendon and meatballs were amazing. They have an option on the menu for pho without any meats for much cheaper. Since I'm not a fan of their meats I could see myself ordering that in the future. read more

A great casual experience. Came here the other day for dinner and was surprised over how long of a line there was. The restaurant is located in a food court and there were several other eateries, but none had quite the gathering that this place did. A real testament to their quality. The restaurant isn't cafeteria-style like the other places in this court; rather, it operates as a traditional take-out or dine-in. The venue is large, clean, and well-lit. We opted to dine in and were seated in an alcove area with other private tables. Service here was great and the woman we spoke with (possibly the owner) was so friendly and cheerful. She came and talked to us for awhile and even recognized my friends from the last time they had dined here. Good customer service goes a long way. I ordered a bowl of pho along with a side of egg rolls and a Thai iced tea. All items were exceptional and really didn't take long to come out at all. I'd come here again for sure. read more

It's alright. I come here once in awhile if I'm in the collection area. I order the dry noodle bowl and my daughter gets the basic pho. It's served in a huge bowl but honestly I never get enough noodles in my bowl. The mixture of noodles and lettuces is never balanced. Always to much lettuces. Like pho? There is a new pho place in Oxnard's The Collection at the Annex. The service is quick and efficient like most Vietnamese eateries. I had the Love Pho special and it will satisfy any pho craving. The soup is more on the savory side and the ingredients are clean and ample. It will be more than enough for most. Mixed in with some plum sauce and spicy chili sauce, along with the basil, sprouts, and lime juice, it makes for a good meal. Especially nice hot soup on cold days. Their spring rolls are decent with shrimp and pork inside, served with a peanut sauce. The veggie broth pho is good, for vegetarians who like pho. They are conveniently located at The Collection in Oxnard at The Annex which houses multiple eateries which is very convenient. The service is good and quick, food is decent, a solid 3 stars... nearly 4 since the service is good. Pho Oxnard and Pho Saigon are my go to places... the broth at Pho Oxnard makes their pho stand out. However Love Pho Cafe is very convenient located. I guess they have been around in Camarillo for years and have had a location in Newbury Park which has rave reviews, Oxnard opened recently. I will try the NP location soon for banh mi. read more

I've eaten at the Newbury Park location on several occasions, so I was excited to see them in the newly opened Annex. I usually got for the spring rolls, sandwich, or a bowl of noodles. Went with the grilled tofu vermicelli bowl this time. It was pretty good, but the tofu was a bit "over" grilled and there was probably too much filler romaine lettuce included. Service was so-so, with two different servers attending the table, yet neither was able to determine what was actually ordered. The first server was younger, very polite, but needs to brush up on menu ingredients. I'll give it another go and hope it was just due to the new location. read more

My family came in to enjoy some pho, but instead one of the employees decided to disrespect our privacy by calling someone that we are not on good terms with and bad mouthing my family. We all should be able to feel comfortable when out eating with our family but the action of the employee here really spoiled our experience. I called the manager to let her know about the situation and at first she was very understanding and apologetic but I got a call from her the next day asking my dad to take off the review he had wrote of his experience and completely not taking accountability for the actions of her employees. The point is, this restaurant went out of their way to put our privacy and safety at risk, then on top of that bad mouth us when all we did was sit down to have a bowl of pho, that is not okay. My family would rather drive an extra 10 minutes to eat at Pho Saigon, next time we want pho in Oxnard. read more

The food here is delicious. They always make is fresh & fast. HOT TIP: Always double check your order. They rarely get my order right. I often get it home and realize it and then don't bother driving all the way back.
