Café Loulou is located near Unkapanı bridge on the southern shore. We stopped for lunch after we had been walking through the snow for several hours, and we certainly enjoyed the tea and coffee we drank just after we arrived! It's a nice, quiet place where they don't mind if you sit for a while. We tried güveçte tavuk (chicken stewed in tomato with yogurt sauce) and tavuklu mantarli krep (crêpe filled with chicken and mushroom and topped with melted cheese) and one çikolatalı sufle (chocolate souffle). The menu contains a mix of Turkish and French foods. It certainly wasn't the best meal we ate during the entire trip, but the food was well-priced and better than I would expect to get from just picking a random place to eat. We certainly enjoyed the food more than what we had eaten the previous evening, at one of the city's more expensive restaurants. The french fries were extremely good. read more
