The restaurant Les Frangins is a typical French restaurant in a tiny suburban strip mall. Decor very tasteful and up to date. Immaculately clean. The food and service is 3 star. It's like Julia Child cooked just for you. You know how in the US, even at an upscale place, even when the food is first rate, it's still served lukewarm. In France it's served to you LITERALLY like it was in the pan 30 seconds ago. I mean what should be hot is HOT. The picture is desert called Pain Perdu. It translates as French Toast, but it literally means Lost Bread. I think it's the French way of saying, We're such great cooks this is what we can do with yesterday's stale bread. The cabaret show was also fantastic. It's a small (not tiny) lounge with a small stage. At the same time, the entertainment was first rate. I did a lot of musical theatre a long time ago so I tend to watch the details rather than just enjoy the show. The dancers were beautiful, very professional, practiced, & polished. The choreography & costumes were as well. There was a 3 dancer chorus line, a lead dancer/singer, and a juggler/comedian. (at the moment I don't remember what else) They all did multiple numbers & put on a great show. About 90 minutes. That's a small cast, on a small stage, but it was a big show.
