It's been open for almost three years. The storefront is rather small, but it's packed with color - there's furniture, lovely glass vases, handmade books, adorable toys, and reclaimed estate jewelry. The shop owner, Selena McAdams, is an interior designer, and all of the items inside Spruce have clearly been selected with great care and attention. I hesitate to call Spruce an interior design store, because it's much more than that. On my visit, I was totally taken with their selection of adorable and unconventional stuffed animals. I picked up a sea foam green latticework pendant necklace. It reminds me a bit of a lawn chair. So, a big thank you to the person who suggested that I check out Spruce. They also carry pretty anthropologie-esque accessories, such as necklaces, bracelets, and a very sharp silver wristlet -- soft leather -- for $50. That wasn't so bad and I almost snatched it up.
