It was almost 2:30-3pm when we decided to give Plan B a try because of their prices and handful of reviews on Yelp. The inside of the sandwich shop was very rustic with a nice eclectic feel. All the tables were full but we were able to snag a table that came open soon after arriving. A friendly waiter came over to take our order. The menu was not extensive. There were about a dozen sandwiches to choose from and the option to get the handheld in a combo (+drink or drink+dessert). The better deal was to go with a combo so we did. After waiting a couple of minutes our sandwiches were brought out and they were delicious. Very simple yet made with quality fresh ingredients to give you a healthy lunch. I had Le Mama without tomatoes and I really enjoyed it. For dessert we opted to try a chocolate brownie to cleanse the palate. I think what added to this experience was the ambiance and gorgeous day outside. Being able to say we were enjoying a sandwich in the cafes of Bordeaux is pretty fantastic, no? The baked goods were even better, as I got the chocolatine (chocolate croissant), for around 1 euro and it was super flaky, with many layers, and the right amount of chocolate inside. I wish I could have eaten 2 of them. We also got a tarte aux pommes (apple tart) which was equally as delicious: flaky, not too sweet, with a decent amount of sliced apples on top. I wish I could have tried more of their things, but really glad I had a chance to try a variety of savory and salty things. I would definitely come back here again and recommend it if you're in Bordeaux.
