We pulled in on a whim just traveling through and were amazed with everything. Service from waitresses, especially Jordan, to bartenders was genuinely great. Food came out quickly and was delicious. The oysters were delicious. If you get the stone baked items then the food keeps cooking on it while you eat it. I had the salmon and didn't realize this so it quickly overcooked. On The Stone... a nice experience!! The food was cooked on our table on a 650F preheated lava stone. We had Surf and Turf (top sirloin, scallops and shrimps). Another great experience. I've been here several times with very pleasant experiences every time. First, the staff. Extremely friendly, polite and helpful with any questions about the menu and items on it. Speaking of items on the menu, check out some of the photos I have captured here. The food is great. - The Shaved Beef Mini Yorkie are absolutely delicious. Shaved beef with onions, horseradish mayo, green onions. Highly recommended. -The wings, Cajun dry rub are some of the most tasteful wings I have had in recent memories. If you like heat, hot sausage is good too, but definitely try the Cajun dry rub. I can go on about the food, Wonton Nachos, Vegetable Tempura, all excellent choices. Lott 88 is know for its grilled steak, yet, I haven't had the pleasure to try it yet. Some day soon I'm sure. Current promotion that's worth noting is the Thursday night half price bottle of wine. If this is up your alley, get a ride or call a cab, drink responsibly. to have a bottle that is affordable at a restaurant is incredible and the staff can help you select the perfect bottle. Stopped in North Bay for the night on our way north. Ate dinner here on the recommendation of the hotel. Our waitress sold us on the "steaks on the stone." It was as good as she said. I have heard anecdotally that the food, service and atmosphere is excellent. The sticking point always lands on price. Unfortunately this steakhouse is priced out of our local market. Also not sure how well they can adapt their menu to a rapidly expanding vegan food market. read more

A unique experience. Server Ashley was super friendly and knowledgeable. The food was good not outstanding. The whole idea of serving steak/seafood on a 600 degree hot lava stone and having the guest cook it is pretty neat. Excellent wine selection (Tom Gore cab/sauv. Decor/atmosphere was upper casual. This was an enjoyable place to have a nice dinner and desert We came here to celebrate our anniversary and was not disappointed When we first walked in though the welcoming could have been a little warmer... the (manager?) and young man could have been friendly .. we basically got stared at when we walked in. As we were seated (Jordi) our server was excellent. Pleasant conversation and excellent service. The ambiance was okay but could've been better if they had some music playing .. some soft jazz would've been great We got the surf and turf on the "stone" which was excellent. We ventured to this restaurant due to others saying it was so great, however, unless you order steak or a burger, it is certainly not worth the money or effort in my opinion. Seafood linguini (ordered by my husband) was tomato sauce on noodles. I had stir fry and after ingesting a moldy cashew, it was less than stellar. When speaking to the waitress and manager, they both verbally indicated that their steaks were great and the rest was mediocre. When charging $25 for a meal, I dont care what your specialty is, mediocre does not cut it. read more

We had a great experience until I had a drink of the wine that was served to me. I realized I had received my mother-in-laws glass of Woodbridge at $11.00/9 oz glass and she had my J. Lohr at $19/9 oz glass. When I mention to our server she made no effort to correct the error that had been made and blamed it on the bartender. Consequently I ended up drinking out of a wine glass with lipstick on it for the remainder of my meal.
