I came here with my friends as the place came highly recommended by them. They said it's one of the best spots for dining by requires reservation as it gets pretty busy in the evening.
We didn't have a reservation but the host agreed to sit us for 1.5 hr before that table will be claimed by a group that reserved it. I wasn't sure if they ask us to leave at that time or we'll be allowed to stay longer. The spot was close to the entrance which became a problem as guests and staff constantly goes in and out, so the cold air is hitting you. I think that's a problem only for a couple spots near the entrance and the rest of the restaurant should be fine. I didn't realize this would be the case before we got seated but it was an issue for me as I recently was sick and still recovering. Hence I didn't want to be exposed to any cold air. I think the staff should have warned us that this is the case for this table before getting us seated there.
After 1.5 hours we we presented by the check without us asking for it which I guess implied that it's time to leave as they have another guests coming that reserved this table. The restaurant accepts both cash and credit cards which is very convenient. No additional service charges were included. The staff is pretty friendly and service was quick. Most of the staff speaks some English.
One of my friends got the salmon and avocado appetizer. She said the avocado was delicious but the salmon was just okay - eatable but not enjoyable. I had caprese salad that was also okay, but not superb: it's a small portion and mozzarella was fresh but not delicious. There was a little bit of pesto added to it and tomatoes were also okay, they were sliced in quarters which is a strange way to approach it as mozzarella came in normal round slices. I also had a shrimp in garlic oil hot appetizer that was absolutely delicious and came to the table still boiling. This is a must have and I'd recommend everyone to try it while they are at the restaurant.
For the beverages, the place has a good selection of cocktails but the wine by glass offering is minimal and the wines are not that good, or maybe they require some very developed taste... there are wines by bottle but we didn't want to risk taking a whole bottle and not liking it.
Overall, great ambience with lots of lights and plants (see the photo), definitely suitable for an evening with friends or a romantic dinner with your loved one. Not good for kids as it's not enough room for them to roam around.
Might come back if I'm in the area again. read more
