As a self proclaimed expert in what good Mexican food is, I have to say, so far, in the state of Kentucky, there isn't a better place to eat. First: Atmosphere - Amazing!! So authentic feeling. The Décor is so great. Second: Service - What can I say, fast friendly, properly attentive. Third: Price - super reasonable. We were very surprised!! Fourth and the best!! Food - Can I say HOLY COW SSOOOO GOOD!!! Chips and Salsa served from a carafe?? What?? Yes!! I simply had the Asada Tacos and my wife had the seafood burrito. We are still talking about how good the food was and I've been telling everyone I know to take the trip to Lebanon. Now, any reasonable person will know that even the best restaurants have bad days. Our first visit there has certainly earned this establishment some bad days, because our first day was a great day. For those who have left negative reviews, revisit. Staying in Lebanon for a weekend getaway and visiting local distilleries. Staying at a place on the same block so it was an easy walk to los mariachis. Tables all feel sticky. It's dark'ish inside. Cigarette smoke smell coming from who knows where. The young girl that took our drink order never came back to get our dinner order. I observed her at the bar trying to make drinks. I ordered a glass of Chardonnay and my husband frozen margarita. The Chardonnay was not too bad. Had to flag down a gentleman to take our order. I ordered shrimp fajitas and husband ordered Tijuana special. When the food arrived the fajitas were not sizzling as they usually do. The taste was OK. Guacamole has a kick. Hubby liked his food. Ordered second glass of chard. Watched who I presume to be owner/manager open another bottle of wine. When it came to the table it was room temp and tasted nothing like the other one. He was generous enough to remove that glass of wine from our bill. Personally we would not go back to this restaurant. Our other option was to order pizza from Papa John's and get a bottle of wine at the local liquor store. Next time we'll go with option B! read more

I love Los Mariachis :) we come in and are treated like family. The portions are big for a great price, and I love the food. Always ask for the salsa with pico in it. YUM. I always get a dish of their spicy sauce to put on top my food (which I'm pretty sure is homemade), and it never disappoints. I got the half portion of the fajita nachos and it was huge! The service is great and they check in frequently, wanting everything to be right for you. read more

Ah, Los Mariachis, where the small stuff counts. I am one of those eaters who looks at the small stuff - from the health department's chronically high 90s valuation about the sanitation of this Mexican casual diner that hangs on its front window to the speed of service to the temperature of its food. The scores, the smiles, the speed and the food all matter to me. Los Mariachi scores well for local establishments on all counts. It is certainly better than the national fast food and casual restaurant chains - even if this small town could support a more big city Chipotle or Qdoba, in which I would typically rank a three for their pre-fabricated servings. This place is a cut above. This is one of my local restaurants that I have patronized over the years. It has been a Lebanon establishment for over 14 years. My favorite dish is steak salad with guacamole. read more

Came into Lebanon to grab a late lunch and was planning to eat at Hennings. Unfortunately, they have permanently closed. So we walked down the block to Los Mariachis. Turned out to be fate intervening. This place is the real deal Mexican food. Everything is fresh and prepared in house, right down to the owner making the chorizo himself. After eating here, I got food poisoning so bad that I had to go to the emergency room. It was coming out both ends, and I was puking bile. I recovered after two days, two IV's, five hospital-strength doses of anti-nausea medicine, and a 100.7 degree fever. I know it was the food I ate here (the Gringa, probably the chorizo), because that was the only thing I ate that day that my family didn't also eat. Shortly before realizing the ER was necessary, my stepmother called the restaurant to let them know that I got sick from the chorizo. They just said that they had not heard from anyone else and they use it in a lot of stuff, but nothing about checking it or throwing it out to be safe. I definitely won't eat here again. If you do, just don't order anything with chorizo, and you might be safe. read more

Terrible customer service. I tried to complain about my food and the owner Saul took immediate defense because the the multiple complaints i had ended up being his daughter and wife. I work in food service and only complain about the big stuff. The food we got was good but it wasn't what I ordered and it looked like slop because it wasn't handled correctly. Their only response was busy and things happen. They were rude and still after 3 phone calls & a personal visit, I still have not received a receipt. (Because they over charged me) Possibly the worst customer service I have ever dealt with in 40 years. So sad. read more

I am a very patient person, but service and our food took a very long time. They would barely bring any chips and the salsa was anything but sub-par. They brought out our food staggered, which spanned over about 20 minutes. Then I was still waiting for my food and when it came out, it was awful. It is very difficult to find bad Mexican food but I found it here. Terrible. But their margaritas were pretty good and they make them fairly strong. read more

Quick service, tasty food that's reasonably priced, but a really annoying kids' video game keeps saying the same loop sounds over and over by the door. As a bonus, they seated a guy in the booth behind us who let loose with huge, gross burps every few minutes. This seemed like it was going to be one of those run-of-the mill low-quality Mexican restaurants that are suffocating America like the plague. I am happy to report that it was not! The menu looked the same as all of those other places, but the food was actually quite good. Don't get me wrong, I've had all sorts of great authentic Mexican, and this isn't that, but the food was very tasty and fairly inexpensive. I would go there again. Excellent Food but Horrible Service!!!! Waitress acted put out to serve us. Had to get up to get continued service and there were only two tables active in restaurant at the time. When expressed my dissatisfaction simply got a " sorry about that!" Not many options in this town but I would keep driving for something better!! read more

If you're in Lebanon, KY and like Mexican food - this place is great. I'd absolutely stop here again. The food was terrifice and the service was friendly and fast. They had some very unique dishes on the menu that I'd like to go back and try. read more

My bf and I are regulars here, at least 2-3 times a month. The food is excellent, service is decent. The salsa comes in tiny bowls, that could be better. Their prices are very reasonable, the beer is cold. The restaurant itself could be kept a bit cleaner however. read more
