----- The Refugio in Montanejos is super cool! The owner, Ernesto, bolted most of the routes in the area and also wrote the Montanejos Guidebook. The guidebook has a ton of info, but in the Refugio you can look at a binder of all the new areas or ask Ernesto (or anyone who works there) for more detailed information. There are also a handful of short, really well-protected routes on the cliff above the Refugi. You could probably climb them all in an afternoon; my partner and I did 8 in an hour and a half, or so. If you're not a climber, it's definitely still worth it to stay at the Refugio. It's the closest hotel to Fuente de Los Baños, which is the warm-spring/swimming hole in the area. Lodging is pretty cheap, especially for how great is, includes breakfast and they have great WiFi. I'd recommend asking for a Jaima, which is basically a Moroccan yurt. The food is also really good and the sangria was phenomenal. All in all a very pleasant experience.

This was a nice place until this italian guy was working. he was complaining of how tired he was. probably was hungover. he was extremely rude to me and refused to serve me a beer in a proper pint glass. he served me in a small paper cup. i tried to explain i would sit down and possibly eat a pizza to be served in a proper glass. he was extremely rude and told me no. the paper cup was half the size of a pint glass and i explained this to a waitress. she was nice and tried to talk to him but he was rude to her to. this place needs to get rid of staff that treat people badly. after that he was yelling at me in front of everyone so i told him well give me my money and ill go get a proper beer elsewhere. he slammed my money on the counter and was being extremely ugly. for people including staff members to see that this kind of behavior is accepted is not a good look for the business or customers. he really made me angry so i took a photo of him. he then tried to grab my phone out of my hands getting physical with me. in no way is all that worth one beer. management should fire him.

While you can't choose anything in particular, you can rule out toppings if you detest something or have a food allergy. I went here recently with a two friends, and ordered six pizettes to share. All of them were surprisingly good, and it was fun not knowing quite what was on each one until we bit in. However, there didn't turn out to be quite as much variety as we expected - all the toppings were mostly variations on different cheeses, with some hame and salami thrown in. There was nothing particularly unique or exciting, which might have been a good thing ;-) All told, this is a fun place to eat with friends; I'm sure I'll be back!
