I've been on a tight budget and Los Armando's gives the best value Cali Burrito in town which includes Sour Cream, Guacamole, and a complimentary Snowman of three delicious different Salsas (Verde, Roja, and Chipotle) Other Mexican Restaurants charge extra to add on Guacamole but I love how generous Los Armandos is with including all our favorite Mexican Fuerza Ingredients in their Signature Burritos, and I appreciate how they make the Cali Burritos with skinny fries too which makes each bite feel more exquisitely refined! The Burrito Portion is very generous and was able to last me two days, and I like how neatly wrapped my meal was too and served at the appropriate piping hot temperature to fully annihilate my late night Mexican Gladiator Fuel cravings ;0) Thank you to the Los Armando's Team for being so meticulously organized and generously kind with providing us the best rainbow of Sexy Variety for our hard earned bucks! Have seen so many tacos places come and go in this very spot. Decided to give them a try since I noticed they had been here for a while and saw other mentioned that they have good nachos. Was greeted right away after coming in. Friendly service and they answered all questions when ordering. I had the half super nachos as pictured. They were good. Tacos were very good. Meat had good flavor. The quesabirrias were okay. Good rice, not so great beans. They tasted like they cool be from a can. The aguas were fantastic! We got an horchata and Jamaica. The horchata likely had dairy in it which made it that much better. Lots of people going in and out picking up food after work. It should be illegal to sell such dry chicken. That was easily the worst nachos I've ever had and they were $18.99!!! The "shredded burrito" had huge dry chicken chunks. It was hard to chew and get down, very poor quality, they should be ashamed serving that food. read more

Went around 2300.... used their drive thru... Since it's a Tuesday, i went for their promo... just 1.89 for a mini taco. Not bad honestly. Plus , i did get a chilaquiles plate. The order came pretty quick all things considering. There were 2 cars infront of me and it was fast. The price of the dishes were reasonable. The chilaquiles was actually a surprise in itself since there was a cabbage salad, a slice of orange, and even half an avocado on top of it all. It was also served with beans with cheese, rice, and a couple of eggs on top. Not bad if you ask me. Definitely could share with 2-3 people. As for the tacos, I had a carne asada, buche, and cabeza. They were all placed in a to-go container with half a roasted pepper. Pretty good and value for money. I wasn't able to finish the entire thing but i got to say that it's pretty much value for money. I appreciate the staff for placing condiments, utensils, and lime in the package. Ambiance wise, it's a typical diner, with a salsa bar, plus a drive thru. Popped in a little before closing after a night out and they were surprisingly accommodating! I ordered a carne asada burrito with beans and it was HEFTY! Not greasy, not fatty. Just a solid burrito. The location itself could definitely use some work, especially since it is by a busy street and the entrance is very small, but besides that, good spot to order Mexican food from. A bit pricey but the portions are hefty and I'd say worth the price. My asada fries were tasty, meat is good, it is just missing a few components that I would've liked to see on my plate (pico de gallo, sour cream, maybe beans). This is HANDS DOWN the best Mexican Food spot. We have become addicted. We eat here almost weekly. Everything is always made super fresh, the salsas are top tier, and the service is amazing. I never use the drive-through because it's always best to go inside, hit the salsa bar, and get a welcoming smile. You always feel like you're at home. This was our first visit here in many years, and definitely since they changed names and ownership in early 2023. This location has always been primarily Mexican food as far back as I can remember, 1980 (?), but has changed owners too many times to count. My on-going passion for finding good chile rellenos got the best of me today, and I discovered they do make rellenos here. Unfortunately, with so few reviews, no one so far had mentioned whether Los Armandos' were good or bad. Guess that it was going to be left up to me. And today, it was time. While the rellenos were slightly smaller than many I've seen, there were two of them per order, tender, good batter, nicely filled with melty cheese, and covered in a nice chunky, home-style sauce. They were plated with rice, refried beans, lettuce, pico de Gallo. The guacamole was fresh and good. Too bad the beans and rice were disappointing, lacking in flavor. The rest was delicious. We also ordered two shredded beef tacos, durado style. Perfect! They were full sized and contained a generous amount of moist, shredded beef, topped with crisp lettuce and yellow shredded cheese. Very tasty, especially with a drizzle of their house, spicy green salsa. We did not go inside. They have a drive-thru window that is quite handy, with a minor wait. No matter, everything was freshly cooked and still hot, and the cashier girl was delightful. Our meals totaled $24. Overall, this was a nice, first impression. I look forward to returning. read more

The food at Los Armando's is as good it needs to be for this most typical of taco stands. I tried an adobada taco, a carne asada taco and a carnitas taco . While they were freshly built to order the meats tasted a little old and reheated on the plancha. The little salsa bar was a nice touch as their salsa was quite punchy and spicy. They had the usual suspects available on the salsa Bar . A chile onion mix, carrots en escabeche, radish slices, and the tacos came with grilled onions and a fried guero chile. Not bad not great. The meat on the mini taco combo AND birria were extremely dry with no flavor - wet sand probably has more flavor. They forgot my consome so we had to go back, went back and forth with the lady telling us we weren't charged for it but it was on our receipt. I like my burrito with cheese, beans, potatoes, and sour cream, so I asked for that extra, and honestly, it was the best chorizo and egg burrito that I've had in a long time. Came to check out their taco Tuesday. $1.75 mini street tacos. I tried the carnitas, chicken, asada and adobada. Everything had great flavor! Tacos were small but they were generous with meat portion. The carnitas was surprisingly crunchy and chunky not shreddy like expected. The adobada was crisped up before assembly and had a nice char to it. The chicken and asada were lean yet flavorful. My Son got the same variety but added buche and said that was his favorite. I like that the give the grilled onions and jalapenos. They are a game changer. My husband got the shredded beef taco plate. (Not a Tuesday deal but we like to try this everywhere) They have great rice and beans and the crunchy tacos were good, not going to be a repeat order though. Service was quick and thorough. There was plenty of seating inside. I noticed most people order to go and drive through. The area can be kind of sketchy but we will be coming around again. read more

Although I never leave negative reviews, I just had to on this place ,I have been Coming to this establishment for the past year, and while the food is generally excellent, I have recently noticed a concerning trend. I have been stopping by around 1 am to grab food quickly through the drive-thru before starting my graveyard shift. Unfortunately, there have been two different male cashiers working at the window, and their communication is severely impaired, making it difficult to understand .Additionally, My orders are not being taken correctly. It appears that they may be under the influence of alcohol or drugs, as evidenced by their appearance  and communication I cannot fathom how they are even preparing my food. As a result, I have decided to stop coming this establishment. However, my Husband had decided to give it another try. One evening, I visited with my family and noticed that the two male cashiers were also working as cooks and that shift They were engrossed in their phones, while the female cashier appeared stressed and was handling all the orders herself. Based on my experience, I do not recommend this establishment. I am unable to comprehend how they are even cooking the food. This was once my favorite Mexican restaurant, but I will not be returning. I eat here often but usually get tacos. Love the tacos! But this time I thought I would try the cheese enchiladas. Big mistake!! It appears all they did was to heat up corn tortillas, put shredded cheese in them, rolled them up and poured red sauce over it. I don't think they saw the inside of an oven because the cheese was not melted when I cut into them. How lazy!! And these were more expensive than tacos!! I should have gotten the tacos!!
