    When buying our home owners policy, the Agent was nice, informative, BUT when the time came to…read morefile a claim, because of a hail storm, a different story. We have a replace clause, well the Adjuster didn't want to replace with the type of shingles we had on the roof. Also everything that was told to us in the Agents office, what we had in our policy, not so when it comes to the claim and we had to deal with the adjuster. He wouldn't call back and discuss issues. It's been three weeks since the roof was completed, still fighting with the adjuster. Not wanting to pay out what we have on our policy.

    Called Allstate Insurance Agent David Griffin's office today to cancel my Homeowners policy (after…read morepreviously canceling my auto insurance with them) and was treated so rudely by his licensed agent. I even asked the lady why she was so hostile; it was as if she was taking this personally. I was canceling because I found another company that matched the same coverage in my Allstate policy but for literally HALF THE PRICE. However, after my overall experience with this company, I will NEVER use Allstate again...even if they offered a better rate down the road... they have lost a customer for life here. Call around people, I've done my research, and trust me when I say, Allstate prices are one of the highest around; even when it comes to Auto insurance. Oh, and if you do go with Auto insurance from Allstate, MAKE SURE to ask if the policy you are purchasing offers the Accident Forgiveness that they so highly publicize in their commercials! Unbeknownst to me until I had a minor accident (payout to other vehicle involved was $800; $0 for my vehicle as there was no damage) that you have to request a policy that includes Accident Forgiveness! Boy, was I shocked when my insurance when up 32% because of that one minor fender bender! That's when I was told..." you don't have the policy that offered Accident Forgiveness!" I would have paid the $800 out of pocket before filing a claim had I known this! BTW...the licensed agent I spoke with at the Allstate Insurance Agent David Griffin's office advised me that, it is indeed in their commercials; she has seen it herself! LOL...to which I stated yeah if you pause the DVR and walked up to the television to view the tiny font they flash on the screen for 3 seconds right before the commercial ends!

    I submitted information online and this agent's office responded. I got a quote on April 1st for a…read morepolicy I needed April 18th. The licensed person put an effective date of April 1st. I never asked for that date, not insinuated the need for that date. The next day April 2nd I followed up to solidify the quote and mentioned, for the first time when I would need the insurance (April 18th). I was happy with the quote and indicated that to the licensed person. I went out of town and came back to follow up and purchase my insurance on April 15th and the quote had increased by almost $30/mo. I asked why, bc I had a quote. They told me bc it was noted as Effective April 1st it could not change. I called SF CS and asked them if i had a quote given to me on April 1st would it expire by April 15th. They said no you should be good. I told him, online you get a quote and it usually expires in 30 days. Yes, you should be good, they said. I also asked if their was a rate increase and he indicated, no. The next day I called Jenny Stewart's office back and they said we have nothing to do with it we just place the effective date and it spits out the price. I don't doubt that is true, but read on. I called SF CS again and they stuck to their guns about the quote should remain the same. They called Jenny Stewart's office and altered their story. Why? I do not know. It's a guess, but they told me that she would call me to explain. Did I get a call? NO! The reason for my rant. I got an email at 5:19 PM, at the close of the day saying the they had a rate increase on April 15th. And that was it. Jenny Stewart obviously did not want my business! I surely do not recommend her!
