Tucked within the books are many play options. My son enjoyed the puppet theater, bean bag chairs, tablet games, play kitchen and train table. They also have puzzles, building blocks, and coloring areas. They have seating for adults which is great so you can supervise your child but also let them play with the other kids. My favorite part was the family bathroom. Small toilets and stools for the sink. My son is working on potty training and was so excited he had to give it a try.

Updated discovery lab…read more This was my first time back with the kids to view the redesigned discovery lab and it was awesome! I enjoyed how it wasn't sectioned off by age so all the kids could play together and easier to watch as a parent. Lots of activities and interactive games. The kids were easily entertained.

There's also a big conference room available to reserve for meetings and what have you. They have a private study room if you need a quiet place to prepare for exams too. They have an amazing selection of Blu-rays, DVDs, and even video games! They have Wii, Wii U, PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One games. I haven't seen any Nintendo Switch games yet though. Lately I've been taking advantage of their TV series DVDs. It's nice to finally be able to binge watch Breaking Bad! The Sopranos or Game of Thrones is probably next! There's 6 public computers available for internet browsing or working in MS Office and it's only 10 cents per page to print in black and white. Double-sided pages are 15 cents. The librarians and staff have been always friendly and always willing to help. If you put items on hold, they keep them on a separate shelf and they're arranged by last name. That makes it easy to grab and go! Check out is quick and easy. You can use one of the two check out machines or just go to the desk and have one of the ladies assist you. Books. Check 'em out!

Great children's area!…read more We were in the area and decided to stop by and visit. The library is open on a Sunday which is rare for most libraries. They have a spacious children's area with lots of books and areas to play. There was a giant boat, aquarium with colorful fish, interactive table, plus a great play area for children six and under. My kids loved all the stuff to do in the play room and I loved that the door was shut so they wouldn't interrupt others in the library. They also have a family bathroom that is perfect for kids just starting to potty train.

Under the CLEVE-NET system of library cards, you can use your library card at several Ohio institutions, including this one. This library is two floors, on the newer side and pristine. For a small town like Vermilion, you may not expect such a big, beautiful library like this one. But it's really one of my favorite ones I've seen in Ohio. Great selection of items, helpful staff and in-depth attention to sanitizing procedures during COVID. There's even a super cute sailboat in the kids section they can play in during regular times. But if you're a library person like I am, this one should be on tour list. It's a beaut!

They have most of the kids book low so they can easily reach. There is also a family bathroom next to the kids story time room. The library also has a walking trail attached to the parking lot.
