Longfield Children's Centre is built within the grounds of Flamstead End Primary and Nursery School. It opened around one year ago as the need for a children's centre was established due to massive waiting lists at the only other school nearby that had a pre-school. This centre has a private day nursery for children and also a pre-school for those aged over 2yrs 9mths which is funded for 5 mornings or 5 afternoons a week. There are also many activities run for the local community including a parent and toddler group with fantastic toys for the children and catering for ages newborn to 5! A newly owned toy library is available for a small small yearly fee and all toys in the pre-school/nursery are available for borrowing. New activities are being arranged and there are information sessions/classes for parents of the local area! The staff are brilliant and very friendly.
