I am from the US, and was in Nice for a week. I went to this shop to purchase some cigars for my…read morehusband and sons, and specifically asked if they had Bolivar. The man, I believe the owner, stared at me with a smirk and started to say yes, come this way, but then said, "Actually, I sold the last one this morning. We have had a lot of tourists in town." It was obvious he didn't want to bother, either because I am a female and he made the assumption that perhaps I didn't know cigars, or couldn't afford them, or whatever.
He then offered me several Cuban choices, which we already have since we went to Cuba a few months ago, so I declined.
I was hesitant to even go in there based on reading other reviews, but I really wanted to find a Bolivar.
I truly believe he had some, but for whatever reason decided not to sell them to me.
