Our rental house in Tacoma had fleas. They came to spray and did not kill anything. Kicker was, when they came to spray, all the carpet had been removed. You would think the bulk of fleas and eggs would have gone out with the dumpster? So they came to spray on bare floors, (scented water if you ask me). We hired them to exterminate for all pests in our mobile home. We were promised this included all pests. Mary was asked if we had seen fleas. She said she didn't see fleas but something had been biting her all over her ankles and legs since moving in. Turns out we have a flea infestation. Calling Longs back they refuse to come and reapply pesticide for fleas unless we pay them an additional $300 or so. This is not an exterminator we'd ever hire again. They do not keep their word that their fumigation will work against all pests. Calling them they insisted we only were concerned about spiders. Yes we were concerned about spiders and whatever was chewing up Mary's ankles and legs. read more

I love this company. Every person who calls you from the office is friendly and so are the technicians. If you have a service plan set up, if anything pops up between visits they just come out and take care of it, no extra charges or waiting or anything. I have the annoying little ants that just go everywhere and they were streaming into my house when I bought it, but the tech did a thorough first treatment and the service is persistent when the ants pop up outside so they don't get back in. They are reasonably priced compared to the services I have had. It's nice to not have to deal with the ants. read more

Very pleased with Long Pest Control! They solved our rodent problem under the house with traps, sealing/repairing unwanted entrances, and maintaining bait traps. Very flexible on schedule, fair pricing, and clear about how they will perform the services. They asked great questions and gave advice (keep tree branches away from the roof to prevent future problems, for example, and a recommendation to get my air ducts cleaned). It's comforting that they tend to call the rodents "anybody," as in "this will prevent anybody from getting in." Call right away if you hear scratching before the damage to your home gets worse. I used them for a couple of years at two locations but as time when on, they were not willing to back up their work. Always something "negated" the warrantee. They don't call you back. The last time they said tree branches were touching the house so the warrantee was no good - But it was NOT TRUE. I cancelled my service and they went ahead and sprayed again anyway! I called this company and explained I had ants in the home at multiple locations. After asking a few questions, which I answered, I was quoted a price of $319 for a one-time treatment with a follow up inspection and treatment if necessary. Based on that I set up an appointment. The technician arrived right on time, looked at a few specimens of dead ants I had preserved, made a call to the office, and announced that the price would now be $450. He assured me they were not pulling a bait and switch but that the type of ants I had changed the scope of the project. I declined the service and he left. Someone from the office called me 10 minutes later to apologize for not explaining in advance that the quote was subject to change and that my brand of ants would have required another hour of work. Long Pest Control just completed their first contract at our home this week. We opted for the three-visit rodent control package for our crawlspace. Thankfully, we did not have rodents in the crawlspace but Long did find several areas that needed to be sealed. The initial contact with these folks has been amazing! I called to inquire about taking care of the rats that were gaining access into my attic and Katie spent a great deal of time explaining their service and listening to my rat stories. They were able to schedule me within 2 days! Not only was Chris (the technician) on time, he was early and had already started to look at my property before I got home. He was very thorough and explained their service again and what was included. He was polite, funny, and super comfortable to have poking around my house. I thought the cost of this was reasonable and even more so in regards to the time he spent. Their program makes sense (initial service then follow-up quarterly) and again, a great value. They gave me a quote on fixing the access points in my crawl space to my attic and this particular work is guaranteed. The product they use for the bait traps is FIRST kill only, safe for pets (my dogs would have to eat tons of dead rats to become ill). The bait traps are difficult for pets to access and weighted so critters don't carry them away. Something he mentioned right away when he learned I had dogs. Initially, I am super happy.
