The campground is well maintained and the people who work there are very nice…read more They mow pathways throughout the park and across the street so that you can walk down to the Aroostook River. Tons of cool things to do nearby, including crossing over to Canada to visit FDR's summer cottage. We enjoyed visiting the local brewery and talking w the locals.

Great Lake in Northern Maine for boating, fishing, swimming and more. It is one of the only lakes…read morein Maine with an active seaplane base. It's a relatively shallow lake compared to the rest in the Fish River chain. Ice fishing is great in the winter for Brook Trout and Atlantic Salmon.

Accommodations vary, some quite appropriate, others basic. Outhouses substandard. Dinners generally good. Price reasonable. Proprietors a little rough around the edges, but again this is a hunting camp and I am a pre-political correctness type guy, so I can deal with it. No longer patronize the operation but if you would like to be in prime grouse habitat at a reasonable price, worth considering.
