This is the most responsive kind people I have ever met in my life. My oldest brother has mild dementia, We were having dinner on Second street he went to the car with my keys, never came back. I explained after calling the police I was going home by Uber but could he meet me there to unlock the door. He sent his wife to help me look around Nick's, then take me to the house. She shows up while I finished with the police. After 3 hours he found his way back to the restaurant. They would not accept payment. And she hugged me I was upset to find him, I had my shots. I scrolled Yelp reading reviews for a Locksmith and came across Long Beach Locksmiths. I read the reviews and was impressed. Company is also Veteran owned so I decided to contact company about my door locks. I gave a brief description of what I needed and sent pictures. I received a prompt response from Nick, who is the owner. From the time I initially sent him a message, he was at my door within 30 minutes. Did I mention Nick is originally from the UK and has a fabulous British accent. I initially wanted him to replace all three door locks but upon his inspection, he tightened the top lock and replaced the middle one. He gave me an education on re-keying which is what he did with the middle lock. Great conversation throughout the process. I highly recommend Nick and Long Beach Locksmiths to anyone in need. Fast. Super Nice Person. Educated me on many things about old front door locks. I requested a yelp quote and within minutes was texting with him. Nick showed up 30 minutes later at my door. Nick took apart my 1930 front door mortise and found a few broken pieces. A new replacement does not exist. Nick directed me to B & B Antique Hardware in Signal Hill where I found a preowned mortise that was a direct match. I tried installing myself ... long story short Nick came back and showed me what I was doing wrong. On his way out he fixed my front gate handle that kept falling off. Provided a quote over the phone and charged exactly what he estimated even though it turned out our locks were a bit old school so required more work than he initially estimated. He also fixed a lock that I haven't been able to open for more than 2 years because the door fell off its frame and the metal parts (sorry, don't know the correct lingo) had been bent out of shape from people forcing it open and shut (no extra charge for it being a problem lock). Nick took my call late Friday afternoon. He came right away which I appreciated. Nick was able to get my old front door lock open (that was a job in itself). Then he replaced my door lock and rekayed all my doors and deadbolts, so I only have to deal with one key.
