They opened a couple minutes before advertised opening. Such a quaint place. The food is healthy & filling. Dine, takeout, or sit out on the patio.

I've been to Lona's before, I love the wraps and plates. Today I tried the beef soup and chicken spring rolls. The order taker was kind and attentive. Restaurant was clean and love the eclectic environment with all the pictures and awards posted. Will most definitely be back and I highly recommend.

I totally see what the hype is all about! The giant rice paper wraps are amazing, especially for people who might be on a gluten free diet or a low carb diet. It's not exactly the most fanciest of places, but they have plenty of seating inside and outside, and the countertop service is really quick and easy. They don't accept cash, so make sure you come prepared. The neighborhood doesn't seem that nice, but be vigilant, especially in the dark, and you'll be fine. There's plenty of free street parking, which is a plus!

I'm always impressed by Lonas. This time I got steak bowl with Lona Q sauce. The cabbage was excellent today and cooked so well. I was a little thrown off by the cold steak, i was expecting it to be warm but it still tasted good! My all time favorite thing is their pineapple cookies. I want that recipe!

We placed a catering order from Lona's Lil Eats for work, and the experience was fantastic from start to finish. The staff was extremely helpful in setting everything up and making sure we had more than enough food with their 10 for 10 deal it fed us all and then some! Everything was absolutely delicious. The smoked brisket was a standout, especially with their incredible smoked sauce (I even made a salad out of it and loved every bite). The spicy cucumbers definitely pack some heat, so if you're sensitive to spice be prepared but they were still so flavorful and worth it. On top of the great food, the delivery was seamless and stress-free. Overall, superb experience and we'll definitely be ordering again.

I'm a sucker for some spring rolls. This is a spring roll lovers heaven! We got two order of the (3) spring rolls - chicken and steak. Both super yummy and bite size. Perfect appetizer. I wish I got one of the wraps. They are HUGE and look sooooo good. Next time! My daughter got the kids meal with chicken and stir fry glass noodles. They did have a kick to them. I would say it's spicy for a kids dish. But if your kid likes spice I'm sure they would love it! I ended up eating her noodles and they were DELICIOUS. I got her a side of rice because it was a 50/50 whether she would eat the noodles haha. She loved the rice and chicken. The shop was busy. We went around 1:30pm. Good line and pretty good wait. The kitchen as backed up. I wish they were on door dash for quick pick up. They do offer online ordering through their own sight tho if that is something you want. Service was good and everyone was friendly. The staff were constantly bringing out dishes and busing tables. For as busy as they are, they are quick with service. 10/10 I will be back and I will be getting one of those big wraps! I also saw they have hot tea by the pot! If we weren't getting it to go, I would of got one

Lona's is amazing! The wraps are huge & straight up delicious. I had the big Thai and it had so much flavor all in one wrap - absolutely incredible! I think it would be easier to eat without the greens but they're a great addition to the overall taste. I enjoyed the spicy cucumber salad as my side but the person I was with had glass noodles and those were out of this world. The entire restaurant is so cozy and everyone there seemed so genuinely kind! I cannot wait to go back!

Had no idea what I was craving on a saturday evening. Enter Lona's lil eats--my Savior. I was feeling something that would be both sweet and spicy, this delivered big time. This quaint little eatery is serving up some insane bites for all who enter. Perfect for a casual date night, take out. The mushroom dumplings were amazing. Packed with umami, and then boom! More umami! So delicious. The spicy sauce was great as well. The brisket wrap in the rice paper was so good. A bit smoky, good crunch from the greens. What tied everything together was that vinaigrette. A bit acidic, a bit spicy, and the perfect companion to the fatty brisket. I loved the rice paper wraps. Super light, but a great texture. Cannot wait to get back, i have heard rumors their peanut sauce is to die for. Well, i am willing to die for it!

This is the kinda place I could eat EVERYDAY . The kale mushroom dumplings were so delicious. Service was wonderful. They have several rooms to dine in or dine outdoors . A rather vibey hipster type eatery. Loved everything .

The grilled fish at Loan's Lil Eats exemplifies high quality, making it clear what good fish should be. The smoked turkey wrap had a nice smoky flavor without being dry; the rest of the ingredients were fresh, and Lona's sauce was perfect. The cilantro and all veggies were delicious, were delish pulled everything together - simple ingredients appropriately executed. Portions are generous for the price point, and I added spring rolls, which came out fresh with mint and basil you could actually taste. Service was quick and friendly, with the owner clearly running a tight operation. The space is clean, and there's room to sit. They also have takeout.

Always so good! It's been years since I've gone since I moved away for a few years. The flavors and food are still as tasty as I remember it. If anything, things might even be better! Service is top notch, answering questions knowledgeably and in a friendly manner. It's the perfect neighborhood haunt and place to meet up with old friends! Lots of gluten free options, too!

    Ryan D.

Lona's is a go to spot for me. Been going for awhile now and they are constantly good. Service always on point, helpful with suggestions. So here's my go to order: Rice paper wrap with shrimp, jasmine rice, lettuce mix with Lona-Q sauce on the side. And the spicy noodle salad is a must. The wraps are filling, love pouring that Lona-Q sauce on with each bite. Nice size shrimp & a good amount paired with perfectly cooked jasmine rice & a fresh crunchy lettuce mix. I need the recipe for that spicy noodle salad. So simple yet so good! Spicy noodles mixed with pieces of purple cabbage, carrots, cilantro & peanuts. Gotta finish with one of their delicious crispy outer, soft & chewy center pineapple coconut cookies. Lona's will continue to be a favorite of mine!

This is the BEST restaurant that I've been to in STL so far!!…read more First, the service was absolutely wonderful. Our server was super nice and knowledgeable about the menu and very attentive to our table. The food was purely amazing: - The Sake Sashimi was absolute chef's kiss (rate: 10/10). The fresh sashimi in the ginger mint sauce left us speechless, the salsa gave a fresh and fruity burst of flavor, and even the fried chips on top had a ton of flavor! - The Isaan Hamachi (rate: 9.5/10) was also a must! I first tried the candied garlic on top, and it was truly sweet with only a hint of garlic. The yellowtail was also super fresh, and the coconut sauce brought out even more flavor from the yellowtail (and masked any fishy taste)! - The Massachusetts Scallops (rate: 9.5/10) was one of the best scallops I've ever had. Topped with crab and combined with the pea puree, everything complemented each other so well. There were only two scallops, but they were large and super filling. - The Shrimp Toasts had layers and layers of flavor (rate: 9/10)! The shrimp was inside of the toast, creating a super umami flavor, and then the light and fruity topping and sauce, along with the thin slice of cucumber, truly made this a party in my mouth. - The Chili Garlic Noodles were super nutty and so good (rate: 8/10)! The noodles were slightly spicier than expected, but the spice was a quick burst of flavor, so the spice didn't overpower the dish at all. The noodles were mixed with vegetables and topped with a crunch - definitely make sure to mix before eating to get the different textures and flavors in each bite! We also got cocktails (Pretty in Pink & Sands in the Sun), and both were really yummy. Last, we got a dessert - homemade ice cream by the Sous Chef that day: soy ice cream with red bean! Flavors were all subtle but together they created such a unique and beautiful end to the meal. Came here for my birthday, and I will certainly be returning!

I get that this is a Thai restaurant, not Chinese (though it's more Chinese than I am), but Meyou might consider such a policy. I would have benefited from it yesterday. I visited on a Wednesday evening with members of a running group. There were umpteen of us. If we'd been given a single egg roll appetizer, we would have been forced to cut it in tiny pieces and share. I would have been willing to do that, because I'm a confirmed, avowed savage. My reputation precedes me. Arguably, they should give you one free appetizer for every six members of your party. But I digress. Now, where was I? Ah yes, Meyou. I'd describe this place as a somewhat Americanized version of Thai food, based on what little I know from having recently visited Bangkok and eaten in roughly 40 or 50 restaurants, food stalls and what have you over the course of a few days, i.e. not a whole lot. You can get pad thai and various other soups, noodles and curries, along with fried rice, egg rolls, crab rangoon and chicken wings. It's got a little something for everyone. Do they charge you $0.25 for extra soy sauce? Can you call up and try to harangue them into giving you a free order of crab rangoon by claiming that they shorted you the last time you were there, knowing good and well they can count better than you? I'm not sure. I might try that on my next visit and report back. This time, I went with something called Pad See Ew, which wasn't nearly as gross as its name suggests. In fact, it was good. Its description on the menu, with broccoli, eggs and soy sauce, called to mind various things I might order from a Chinese takeout--which is what I tend to look for in a menu item. As a noodle dish, I figured the overall flavor profile might not be different from a lo mein lunch special I used to get decades ago, that I still fondly reminisce about on a weekly basis. I wasn't that far off from the mark. They let you choose the spice level, ranging from mild to hot. I usually get hot in most places, but I'm hesitant to do that at Asian restaurants, because they might have access to peppers that are technically considered research chemicals, like Temu Ozempic, and therefore not subject to FDA approval. There were a few girls there, and I didn't want to run the risk of my throat starting to close up. I'd have to find a new run group. Medium turned out to be just right for me, but maybe too spicy if you're expecting something along the lines of a buffalo wing. Even the mild, apparently, has a bit of a kick to it. The noodles were nice and slippery and cooked a touch beyond al dente, right in that Goldilocks zone between undercooked and mush. The heat, and the complexity provided by whatever they use to season this, helped offset the underlying sweetness. You get your choice of meat. No Diddy. I went with pork, natch, with apologies to the Honorable Minister. The amount they give you is surprisingly generous, except that this dish will run you. I'm talking modern-day Chipotle prices. Maybe a dollar or two more. Yikes! But I'd argue that the quality justifies it. If I lived nearby, and I had the means, I'd stop by on occasion.

It's nice to see all of the fresh ingredients available-mostly grown onsite. It can't get any fresher than that. The service was great. They are ready to help explain anything on the menu. It's a cute place, there's street parking available. I decided on the Thai BBQ which is a popular item. I also got the chili crisp cheese bread. My salad was huge and can easily be shared with another person. It was so fresh and delicious. The cheese bread was good, would have been much better if it was served hot and gooey. I've never had a dish that wasn't outstanding. I love that there seem to be new things on the menu when I go there, and everything is well marked with allergen info. Its a short tour, but it is incredible to see how they grow almost all of their greens on-site. Carve out time to visit Neon Greens as soon as you can - its worth the trip!
