I was auditioning different designers, among them Henry Lester…read more Tom Schmitt from the company came out and basically told me how awesomely great his company was and how many awards they had won and how I would be foolish to even consider going with anyone else. He then showed me samples of other sites they had designed, which were real yawners in my book. I tried to explain my vision for my site and the response was basically "we won all the awards so you'll like what we do." In other words, there was zero chance this guy would ever listen to what i wanted, because his arrogant company was going to tell me what was best for me. For the next two weeks Schmitt called incessantly, was rude to my staff, and acted for all the world like I had already decided to hire him and even started getting pushy with me about getting information to him. This prompted me to tell him we decided to go with someone else. After that, I got an email wanting to know how we could possibly have decided to go with someone inferior, given that no one had as many award as they did. I explained nicely that the designs had not impressed me and that I didn't feel that Schmitt was listening to what I wanted. I got a two page email back reiterating how great they are and how many award they won. But the only reason I am writing this review is what happened next. Two days later, this moron sent me a bill for $630 for the "work" he had put into our site! I never even hired him, and he's so arrogant that he got insulted that I didn't want to and thought it would be okay to bill me for the time he spent trying to get my business. All I can say is I guarantee if you hire this company you will have nothing but personality problems with the people there. Glad I dodged that bullet.
