I can't say if it was the best ever, but it was good enough for us that we dined here on both the nights we stayed in Strasbourg. Part of it was due to the fact that Alsacian cuisine is meat-heavy, and partly because those that had vegetarian options were fully booked. The first evening I tried the veggie pizza. The toppings were paprika, aubergines, and zucchini. The crust is what makes the pizza amazing. I was surprised that they didn't have a wood fired oven. Why does everyone say that real pizza is made in those? This was even better! The second evening I had the mushroom pizza. A little too much mushroom for my taste, but I got used to it quickly. Yummy. You have to eat here. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Even though the space is little, you feel at ease. The restaurant specializes in pizza, and really does it well.

The Al Forno Pasta with complimentary breadsticks was rich, cheesy, and full of flavor, and the cheese pull alone deserves applause. The Fried Seafood Appetizer was crispy and satisfying without being greasy, and the side salad was fresh and well balanced, simple but done right. Portion sizes across the board were perfect, filling without being overwhelming. I also had the Italian Colada Cocktail, which was refreshing and nicely balanced, though I wouldn't mind the drinks being a little stronger.
