    Empty coolant container

I recently purchased a 22 Rogue Sport in late January and have only driven it a few times. Unfortunately, my car started overheating, and I managed to shut it down before it blew the engine. I took it to Kraft Nissan, as I'm a college student at Florida State University. They informed me that the selling dealer had left oil residue on the engine and damaged the coolant hoses, which are swollen and leaking. They've attempted to contact Lokey Nissan to resolve the issue, but they're evasive and unwilling to take responsibility, despite clear videos showing the oil mess and other damage. I can't link the video to the review but have it. I don't have the additional $1,400 to cover Lokey Nissan's mistake. This situation is unfair and reflects the poor quality of service provided by Lokey Nissan.

Wonder if Paul Lokey ever hears about the complaints from his Nissan dealership because his GM doesn't care nor respond. Hearing "I'm sorry" from service advisors doesn't fix problems. Here's a copy of my email from a week ago. Dear Mr. Alatorre, This is not the first or second or fifth times I have experienced sloppy maintenance work by your mechanics and I don't expect, nor want empty apologies. I just felt it necessary to vent about this. I bought my Altima new from Lokey in 2016. The only positive thing I can say is the life time free oil changes are appreciated but that's about it. There have been so many times that I have picked up my car after a service or oil change only to find something wasn't done properly after getting home. These things may seem minor but it shows a pattern of sloppy work by technicians who are not paying attention to detail. For instance, missing tire valve caps after a service when all four were there before bringing in my car, or when all the original chrome caps were removed after a new tire install and replaced with rubber ones when there was nothing wrong the nice chrome caps that were originally on the car, and of course nobody bothered to mention this to me. The time I came home and told my husband something is rattling under my hood and found the air box cover was just laying over the filter, not snapped on, just bouncing around under my hood. I could go on about all these little things over the past 10 years but it's useless. I have complained on occasion to a service advisor who of course apologizes but it's just a matter of time before it happens again. The worst experience was back when the headlights were recalled due to a defect causing the bulbs to be so dim I couldn't see at night. I got different explanations from several different advisors over a period of time which I feel wasted time in addressing the matter. After finally receiving a notice in the mail, I sent in my portion of the recall card to the class action attorney who was handling the replacements and after many calls and emails between your dealership and the attorney's office, to find out why I hadn't heard anything I was told they had no record of ever receiving my card therefore I never got a replacement. I guess it was conveniently lost in the mail. Nobody at Lokey seemed to give a rat's behind, so I got screwed on that and my husband spent the money replacing my headlights and covers so I could actually see at night to drive. That is when I lost all respect for Lokey Nissan and I knew that my next car would not be a Nissan. So here we are on my last visit on Friday, March 27th, I dropped off my car for an oil change and multipoint inspection. My car has never leaked oil onto the ground, and is sitting in a newly poured driveway, so when my husband went outside the next day, he found a puddle of oil sitting under the car. Finding this oil right after my oil change immediately made me suspicious so I asked him to check it out and take pictures. He found the nut on the oil pan finger loose, barely holding on which allowed the oil to drip out. He gave it 4 or 5 turns until it was properly tightened. Now imagine that this wasn't discovered until my oil was gone and my engine was blown. Would Lokey admit to this error and replace my engine? OF COURSE NOT. Upon further inspection as you can see in the picture where my husband is pointing, there is one zip tie and nothing else holding the cover over the oil filter which they would have had to remove in order to replace the filter. Just another rush, sloppy job. So needless to say, the expensive repairs that were suggested on my multipoint inspection will be verified and performed by a respected private auto shop rather than Lokey, I just don't trust you anymore. Might I mention they didn't even reset my check oil light which went on indicating I needed an oil change. I didn't notice until my drive home so of course my husband had to do that as well. Please don't bother asking me to call you to discuss like I was told during the headlight ordeal; it's a waste of time. I'll be shopping for a new car this fall. Regards, Robyn Kantelis

Took it in back in April for a burn test, and passed. It's now August, I've lost 5 quarts of oil, bring it in for a regularly scheduled oil change and lo and behold! A cracked oil pan. Cracked RIGHT AT THE PLUG!!! Somehow, this is my fault and I have to pay for it?!? Drivetrain warranty that should have fixed it won't because it is a used car and the awesome 10 year/100k mile warranty is only if you buy the car new, and because the Drivetrain warranty will not cover the part, the Extended Warranty from Zurich (that they sold me for several thousand dollars when I bought the car ) will not cover it because it is supposed to be covered by the Drivetrain warranty. But, in an effort to be reasonable, management said if we bought the part (for $267), they will install it for free. So they can mess it up again!?! And then they give me 2 vouchers a year worth $70 each for Use towards synthetic oil changes, yet still insist I come in every 3mo/3000 miles? What's up with that?

Came back one more time for a used Ioniq 6 SEL they had listed as CPO on their own website. That's the last time. Spent a Sunday afternoon working toward a deal. It collapsed when the sales team told me the car wasn't actually CPO and insisted the 10-year/100K EV battery warranty would not transfer to me -- then tried to sell me a $3,500 third-party warranty as the fix. I knew something was wrong, left, called national Hyundai, looked it up myself. The battery and all EV components transfer fully at 10yr/100K to every subsequent owner. I was right. They were wrong. Monday the manager tried to reach me but couldn't get through -- curious, since the sales guy had no trouble texting me throughout the day. I reached the manager myself at 7:40pm. He confirmed I'd been right the whole time, apologized, said he was fixing it internally. Car was still there. I offered to come in right then -- four miles away. He said tomorrow, I said I'd be there by 2pm. Tuesday before noon: two texts I missed. Someone's looking at it. It sold. The apology came before the sale. They made no CPO offer when the deal fell apart Sunday, no deposit request offered Monday night, no call Tuesday morning. Just two texts and a done deal -- probably an easy one, now that they had the warranty information I'd corrected them on. Found the same car at another dealer and bought it the same day with no Certified Pre-Own switcheroo, no last line fee additions and no attempt to sell me a 3rd party warranty when the manufacturer warranty was still in place.
